I've had the Nichiha rep to my house confirming the work is not done according to manufactures guidelines with the owner of the company present. I paid for licensed home inspector. They are unbiased. The inspector said it was the worst he'd ever seen and the report is a gazillion pages. I called my insurance and they sent an adjuster out. He shook his head and said its the worst he'd ever seen. My denied insurance claim states that the work is defective and construction defects arent covered. It also states that water damage is inevitable. Meaning there are no reasonable steps I can take to protect my house My insurance (Amica)refused to give me the adjusters report(not legal dont let them). BUT, they offered to send out a structural engineer to check it out and give me a report. PE (structural engineer) stated the work(starting with the wrap underlayment) does not meet the minimum requirements for wall coverings violating international residential building code. Trustdale saw the video of the rep telling Armando he didnit wrong. -I gave them copies of the install manual I marked up with pictures of the defective work. -They had a representative come to my house with another siding guy and and the owner of siding depot(owners third visit)! -Trustdales siding guy stayed after they left and is the third professional to tell me its the worst hes ever seen. -Trustdales stance differs from that of Nichihas product rep and install manual. It differs from the report written by an impartial home inspector. It differs from the report from the Structural Engineer. It is apparently more valid than the international code book. -It was Trust Dale who first presented me with the official offer of nondisclosure. They then said the resolution was to let these people on my property who already REFUSED to remove the defective work come patch it up IF i paid them first! They are the ones who decide if they have honored the "10,000 dollar trustdale warranty" When I told them that was unacceptable they tried to say i didnt register the purchase with them. I WAS MID PURCHASE when I contacted them. Yup, thats right. TrustDale tried to squirm out of their side by claiming i contacted them too soon. (Or too late depending on the day) I also could've gone through their website before. Off I go across the internet to cost these jerks 10x what they cost me. If you read this feel free to contact Siding Depot and tell him Mike Wood cost them business.(I know its petty but its something)

I can not say enough good things about Shadow Wood Flooring & their sister company SWF Water…read moreDamage, Inc. We had an issue with a leak around the toilet in our half bath on the main level of our house which caused the wood floors surrounding it to start warping. We had initially noticed the issue before Thanksgiving & had a plumber come out to fix the issue (or so we thought), but unfortunately this past weekend we started noticing signs of fresh leaking. Not wanting to use the same plumber & not knowing anyone who could fix the wood for us I did an internet search which led me to Shadow Wood Flooring. They are very close to us so I walked in on Tuesday afternoon to see if they did repair work for small areas and if not could they recommend anyone, as well as to see if they had a trusted plumber they recommended. The sweet couple at the front desk were very helpful & shared the name of a recommended plumber they had coordinated with on previous jobs & took down my information & requested I send an email with pictures of the damaged area & also a picture of the box of leftover wood I had that the builder had left from years ago. They weren't sure if they would be able to help as it was a smaller repair & they were busy with repair work from so many burst pipes from the deep freeze over Christmas weekend, but they would see what they could do. I went home to measure the area of damage, see how much wood was in the box to see if it would be enough for the repair, & was about to send the email when Miranda, the owner, called me from the store. She was super patient & kind while listening to my situation & gave advice on how to proceed with our issue. I called the plumber they recommended who happened to have a crew nearby & were able to send someone over within 2 hours. When they inspected the flange they noticed it was cracked (something the previous plumber had missed) and said they could repair it, but that the floor would need to be repaired before they could reinstall the toilet. I called Miranda back who sent Pedro over within 30 minutes to assess the water damage to see if it was localized or had extended past the baseboards, etc. Luckily for us it was not extensive and as it was on cement slab nothing below was affected. We discussed options for repair & we decided which one we preferred which was to use the existing wood we had, acknowledging that there would be a slight color variation since the remaining wood had faded slightly over time. He said he would take his findings back to the office & someone would follow up with me. Miranda called me within 15 minutes & said she had a flooring installer that they could free up the next day for the few hours it would take to do the repair work. The next morning Idelfonso & Lester showed up at 7:30 and went straight to work pulling out the damaged wood, cleaning & sanitizing the cement slab, assessing that there wasn't any further damage, reinstalling the wood floors and trim work, & recaulked/touched up the trim paint (which I also luckily had some of!). They were very clean in their work & were done by 9:30. They stayed within the budget quoted & there were no up charges or surprises. Everyone that we encountered at Shadow Wood Flooring throughout the process was professional, friendly, & caring. They went above & beyond to assist us with personalized care & attention to detail. If someone had told us on Tuesday afternoon when I walked into their store that not only would our plumbing issue get resolved (I will write a separate review for the plumber as they are a different company not affiliated with Shadow Wood Flooring) that evening, but that our hard wood floors would be fixed the next morning I would not have believed them. The plumber returns tomorrow to reinstall our toilet & we will have our powder room back in action again. While we understand that the stars aligned in our particular situation & the crazy expedient timeline we encountered might not be possible in every situation, we have no doubt that anyone using Shadow Wood Flooring will be 100% satisfied. Absolutely floored (pun intended) by this fantastic company & highly recommend. Thank you Shadow Wood Flooring!

Phillip reached out to schedule installation, staying in contact prior to the teams arrival. Also, appreciated that both the designer who helped me with the product decisions and Phillip were responsive to me, always returning my calls quickly if they weren't available when I called. I replaced the current engineered wood floors for LVP, and update carpeting on the stairs of my split entry home. I did all the due diligence from price comparison and shopping the big box stores, requesting samples etc. When I just couldn't get excited about anything out there, I visited Alpha Rug. They are a local business, which I like a lot. I was not pressured to buy, they directed me to the areas which displayed SO MANY large format samples. With the help of Lauren, I narrowed down my options, took home the samples to see them in my home and lighting. She scheduled Gary to come measure the following week. Can't say enough about the quality of the installation. The teams were so respectful of my home, courteous and most important---professional. The work was perfect. ***RUN DONT WALK***…read more AYS Restoration turned what should have been an exciting home renovation into one of the most frustrating consumer experiences we've ever had. We hired them for a large renovation project involving our master bathroom, closet system, and additional work totaling well over $45,000. While some of the labor crews, especially Paulo and his team, did quality work, the overall management, transparency, communication, and billing practices were deeply concerning. The biggest issue centers around a custom walk-in shower with a rear bench. Common sense says a walk-in shower like this requires a glass door. Someone from their company physically came out and measured for the glass door, yet later we were told the door was somehow "not included" unless we paid thousands more. If it was never part of the scope, why was it measured in the first place? It gets worse. We recently discovered one of the vendor quotes they attempted to pass through to us was heavily marked up. The actual vendor price was approximately $1,900, while AYS attempted to charge us roughly $2,500 for the exact same item despite not measuring, manufacturing, or installing it themselves. That is a markup of over 30% simply for acting as a middleman. Had this been clearly disclosed upfront, maybe we could have had a conversation about it. Instead, everything felt buried inside confusing change orders and poorly written documentation full of inconsistent fonts, colors, and vague wording that looked more copied from templates than professionally reviewed contracts. The estimating process itself was also problematic. Critical items repeatedly seemed to be "left out" initially, only to reappear later as added costs through change orders. At some point it stops feeling accidental and starts feeling strategic. Communication became exhausting. Rather than simply resolving issues reasonably, we were met with deflection, rewritten timelines of events, and responses that often contradicted what actually occurred during the project. We even discovered questions surrounding whether proper ownership authorization was fully verified before contracts were executed. What disappoints me most is this could have been solved easily. There is still a substantial balance left on this project, and instead of resolving a dispute over a shower door professionally, they appear willing to damage their reputation over what should have been a straightforward customer service resolution. Atlanta has far too many quality contractors and restoration companies to settle for this level of confusion, pressure, and lack of transparency. Proceed carefully and document absolutely everything if you choose to work with them.

In order to get our first installment payment back, we had to speak to the manager and then sign an NDA that we wouldn't leave a negative review. I noticed they work with a lot of insurance companies to do restoration, and I guarantee you they are overcharging these companies to get the work done.
