After recently moving to an area not far from Sechelt, BC, we suddenly found ourselves in need of…read morean urgent vehicle repair. Not knowing any of the local shops, I randomly asked one of the people at a gas station, about a shop I could get my car fixed at. SK Automotive was the first choice of the person we spoke with and she gave them a great recommendation. I called SK Automotive and spoke with Simon, (the owner), telling him that I had hoped to use the car to go into Burnaby in a couple of days. He said that he was already booked solid for more than a week. Still, he suggested I drop off the vehicle and maybe they could quickly look at it. When I arrived at the shop, I was very impressed with how clean and organized it was. I was also very impressed with Simon. He managed to fit our vehicle in, diagnose it and called me to discuss it. He ordered the part, but was sent the wrong one, so he offered to put it together so I could safely drive it on my 145km round trip, but said it would have to come back for the proper part to be installed. I opted to wait for the right part and save the rework. In the end, our vehicle was expertly fixed for a reasonable price and Simon took the time to show us the failed part and explain how it works. I am happy to say that we now have our "go to" guy in Sechelt for auto repairs. It's no wonder he's so busy, he's a great guy, has skilled mechanics working there, all the latests diagnosis and repair tools and he really knows how to treat a customer! I highly recommend SK Automotive and our experience there was a complete pleasure. Other shops could learn a thing or two from how Simon treats his customers.

We were approximately 2 miles north of the Buckley Bay turnoff for the Denman Island Ferry where we intended to stay the night after a meal in Courtenay. Fortunately, we have membership with the B.C. Automobile Association and contacted them for help. B.C.A.A. were, as always, excellent and before long Ted from Bowser Automotive was there to give us shelter with his tow truck from the heavy traffic and poor road conditions created by the storm while he jacked us up, removed the offending left front tire, torqued the spare in place, and made sure we had the correct air pressure all with a smile on his face. While we were all wet and cold, no one smashed into us and we remained alive and were soon on our way.....forever grateful to Ted and his truck.....with thanks, Sandy and Monty
