On the day of my appointment, there was a medical emergency on my street that blocked access, causing an unavoidable delay. I did everything a responsible patient should do--I first texted the office, then followed up with a phone call to inform them I would be approximately 10-15 minutes late. The staff member I spoke with assured me that this would be fine. However, when I arrived, I was abruptly told that I could not be seen. What made this experience particularly frustrating is the inconsistency. I have personally waited 15+ minutes on multiple occasions when the office was running behind, and I remained patient and respectful. Yet when the situation was reversed--even after clear communication and approval--I was not given the same courtesy. Additionally, the interaction with the office (including who I believe was the owner, Tina) was extremely disappointing. The tone was short, dismissive, and abrasive. No apology was offered. No effort was made to find a solution. No attempt to reschedule was initiated. It was handled with a level of indifference that felt both unprofessional and disrespectful. I also could not ignore the stark difference in demeanor displayed toward another patient in the office at that same time. The contrast in tone and engagement was noticeable and, frankly, concerning. As someone who has supported this practice--bringing my family here and referring three additional patients--I expected a much higher level of professionalism, accountability, and basic courtesy. Lastly, I would also question the appropriateness and sanitation standards regarding the presence of a dog in a dental office setting, as I have observed this on multiple visits. This situation could have been handled very differently with simple communication, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

My dentist referred me to WE to get a 3D x-ray to determine if root canal was feasible (visible…read morecracks above gum; through-the-cheek x-ray looked OK, but 3D shows more). WE refused to do the 3D x-ray. When pressed, she said she could do the 3D x-ray after doing a root canal - if I wanted it. [Why do the test to see if root canal is feasible AFTER the root canal?] Instead, she duplicated the through-the-cheek x-ray that the dentist had done a few days earlier. [Supposedly, ADA recommendations on lead shielding have been relaxed because, among other things, with digital x-rays, there's no need for duplicates. WE doesn't use lead shields AND does unnecessary x-rays.] Then, WE did the same exam that the dentist had done - though following an inflexible procedure: Positioned my arm on my leg and said to raise it if I felt pain. Tapped on a different tooth. I looked at her and said, "Of course it doesn't hurt; you're tapping on the wrong tooth." She started over again, placing my arm on my leg... I glared at her as she tapped on the wrong tooth again. Eventually, she tapped on the tooth that I had gone to her for, and I raised my hand. Sprayed something like liquid nitrogen on the tooth to determine temperature sensitivity. Then declared "The roots are dead; I'll do a root canal.". [Never checked the roots themselves.] Charged $355 to do what the dentist had already done (for less money).... I found another endodondist who did the 3D x-ray. I suspect my dentist referred me because WE is owned by the same chain that bought my dentist's practice. I'll start looking for another dentist, now. The stupidity continues. I got a phone call from them about the above review. They claimed that they were trying to save me money by not doing the 3D x-ray. Then, why did she offer to do it AFTER the root canal? Then, the 3D x-ray would have been a complete waste. She also said that the through-the-cheek x-ray wasn't good enough. [Why not mention that?] I brought up the fact that, in the waiting area, I was notified that they were running late 35 minutes after my appointment time. I tried to explain that the time to tell a patient that you're running late is at or before the time at which they are late. She tried to justify giving notification after it's become obvious. They just don't get it. I just hung up.

My appointment with the oral surgeon is next week and I called Dr. Stern to please prescribe me an antibiotic because my tooth is infected. I am running a low grade fever. Guess what she called me and I I advised her what was going on. All I need is an antibiotic to relief the pain. Dr Stern stated she would have to call me back which she did NOT. Because she stands to not make anymore money on my visit Dr Stern choses to leave me in severe pain. All I asked for was an antibiotic.

He leaves no stone unturned and is the most knowledgeable dentist I have ever had the pleasure to know. Not only does his knowledge of dentistry run deep, but his technical skills are equally impressive. My jaw alignment had been changing over the last few years and he recommended Invisalign. My mouth now feels like it once did. Dr. Hanna recommended a few other procedures, some cosmetic, some medical and I could not be happier with the outcome. It took a couple of years to complete but was worth the wait. Now that the masks are off I get quite a few compliments. Because I had to make several visits to the office, I got to know his team pretty well, too. Never will you find a better group of hard working, professional and pleasant group. Horrible. I've been coming here for many years, along with my family. It's gone down hill fast…read moresince Dr. Gusar retired. Recently I had a cracked molar that needed a root canal. Neither dentist in this practice can perform a root canal, which is obviously subpar. So I needed to wait 3 weeks to get the procedure from a visiting endodontist they contract with, who only works there half a day every other week. I suffered for 3 weeks and was not offered any pain control other than ibuprofen. Meanwhile I developed a big abscess which caused even more pain. When I finally had the procedure, it was intensely painful due to the abscess, which makes lidocaine less effective. Afterwards there was again no pain medication offered, just advice to take ibuprofen which is totally inadequate. I also was told to get the tooth crowned or capped as soon as possible or it might crack more and need removal. But guess what? The soonest appointment they could give me for that was 2 weeks out. I've spent many tens of thousands of dollars at this practice over the years, in cash, but this is it for me. Moving on. Never again. When you need them, they aren't there for you.

It's at the point where I will be switching to another provider. The most recent issues are as follows. Due to an infection I was told I needed a root canal. The procedure was performed by an outside provider and the experience was horrible. At no point did that dentist seem to care about my discomfort and anxiety. After completing that procedure I was told I needed a crown. They never informed me ahead of time that I would need that. As I was checking out I was told, " of course, whenever you have a root canal you need a crown"! No consideration was given to inform me of this before the root canal so I could plan accordingly. Understand that both of these procedures are expensive (even with insurance). I then go ahead with the crown appointment. As the dentist begins the procedure I question why he's working on a different tooth. This is when I'm told that the tooth I had the root canal worked on already had a crown on it and that the tooth he was currently working on needed a crown. Shouldn't I have been told during scheduling that the crown was for a different tooth? I most likely would have chosen to pay off one procedure before scheduling the next procedure since it wasn't an emergency. Shortly after going through all this I then receive a phone call from the dentist himself, asking if I'd like to set up work on another tooth!! In all the years I've been going to a dentist, never has the dentist contacted me directlv about future procedures! This is when I feel this dental office has become more about getting money from patients than their care and needs. Fast forward to my most recent appointment. I'm scheduled for a replacement crown (the one I had cracked). I was told to plan on an hour and a half. This dentist makes the crown in their office so I was made aware that there would be about a half hour or so that I would be waiting for it to made. However, as I Wait and Wait and Wait, I can hear my dentist working on another patient in the next room. He finally comes back to me to finish. It was now 3 HOURS LATER!!! RIDICULOUS!!! At no point during this time did an assistant or the dentist check in with me or give me an explanation. It was as if I didn't exist!! It sure seems like he's double dipping to make more money by scheduling one patient between another patient! I guess he doesn't feel my TIME is worth anything!! WRONG. I will be moving on to a provider that genuinely cares and communicates clearly with their patients. I would think twice before going to this office!
