I was hesitant to write this as I simply wanted to forget it ever happened, but I'd like to help…read moreother women avoid what I went though. I would give this man zero stars if I could. I went to Dr Lach to discuss having my implants removed as I was experiencing some symptoms of breast implant illness. During our consult-- which was the first time we had ever met-- I had my breasts in my hands and was discussing the amount of natural breast tissue I have and was questioning getting a breast lift when we remove the implants. He made a comment along the lines of how he **usually pays big money for that move at the strip club.** Listen, I'm crude. I love a dirty joke. I even love a good stripper joke. But I do not know this man. This was my first time meeting him. And he is a DOCTOR. I am vulnerable. I am naked. And now we're sexualizing my body comparing my CONSULT to a TITTY BAR. This is not the time, nor place for this joke. It could not have been more unprofessional. I was so taken aback by it I truthfully didn't know how to respond, I think I just gave an awkward laugh and tried to keep it professional and carry on with our apt. I wanted to discuss some other areas I was concerned with and see if cool sculpting could work or what my options could be... (I want to also note here I am no stranger to these appointments and have met with many plastic surgeons. I've had many consults in my life. I know how they go, and have worked with true professionals in the past. I know what to expect. Nothing like this). He put his hands between my legs and cupped my inner thighs and the way he.... Lingered..... was disgusting to say the least. It wasn't professional, it wasn't a consult... he held the palm of his hand up against the veryyyy top of my inner thigh for way longer than was appropriate. Some creepy breathing also took place. It was all just creepy. And I'm not someone who gets creeped, spooked, or offended easily. I've had consults before. This was not a professional "consult". Why are we cupping my upmosttttt inner thigh? You know, the spot directly next to my vagina. When I left, and told my mom what happened. She's been going to him for a couple years for botox and things. At first she was like *omg what no, no what I can't believe that*. Only to then go "although..... when he went to pop my breast implant encapsulation, he stood behind me to grab the breast...... he popped it from behind me and I could feel his boner in my back". I was upset with her for sending me in to see this man in the first place... but also felt bad for her being too naive to know that "boys will be boys" does not apply to doctors. Especially ones who are dealing with our naked bodies and breasts. Don't even get me started on his filthy operating area. The "operating room" is basically in his waiting room. There's dust balls everywhere. It did not look clean or sterilized at alllll. It looked like something you'd expect from someone performing operations from their living room in Tijuana. Even had he not groped me, there was zero chance I was letting this man open me up in this room. Overall 0/10. This man should not be practicing medicine. He should be on a sex offender list.

I consulted with Dr. Lach and though his office staff is pleasant and he is friendly, the nurse did…read moremy intake in the surgical room, and it was cluttered and dirty. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but it definitely made me uneasy. I went into the doctor's office for the actual consult with him, where I was asked to change into a waffle-weave robe, wearing only my underwear underneath. This room was also cluttered but I figured that didn't matter as much because it's not where the procedures are performed. However, after the consult, the doctor left the room and the nurse remained while I changed back into my clothes. She actually REHUNG the robe I was wearing. It was the only robe on the rack so it clearly gets reused patient to patient. I was so disgusted, I couldn't even say anything. I hightailed it out of there and jumped in the shower as soon as I got home.

I was impressed with my primary care doctor, the nurses and the assistants. I felt confident that…read moremy care was being managed. It was fine while I had a commercial health plan. I'm newly retired and have just started on a Medicare Advantage Plan. Unfortunately, CRMA only takes Tufts Medicare Preferred advantage plan. That's the only one. That stinks. It makes me wonder if they really want to service Medicare patients. I had researched the Medicare Advantage options, and for me the Tufts plan didn't cut it. I am an established patient with several specialists in the Mass General Brigham network. All of them took the Mass General Brigham Medicare Advantage plan. It was only my PCP who did not. Several of my specialists did not take Tufts Medicare Preferred. I was faced with having to find a new PCP and keep all of my specialists, or to keep my PCP and a couple of my specialists. Changing doctors is a royal pain, and getting a first appointment seems to typically take a year. My medical situation is that would not work for me. I had selected my PCP at CRMA, because they are part of the Mass General Brigham network. If they were not, I wouldn't have gone there. One frustration with CRMA was with lab work. Patients at CRMA HAVE to use their office. I once tried to use a Mass General Brigham lab. They cannot see the lab orders from a CRMA doctor. I am guessing that CRMA is trying to keep revenues from lab testing. Just a guess.

The billing isn't exactly above board. I had a suspicious mammo on one side in Jan 2025. Came for…read morefollow up in Feb 2025 and that side was okay (out of pocket cost $625) but they said to do 2nd follow up again in August (6 months) just in case. Thankfully that side was still fine (out of pocket cost $416). Scheduled what I believed to be my yearly mammogram Feb 2026 but they apparentally wanted to bill this as a 3rd FOLLOW UP. This "follow up" however was for both sides and was no different than any other standard mammogram I have ever had except this one costs more than $500 out of pocket. Therefore, this yearly was not covered. So all told a suspicious finding that has now been checked 3 times cost me more than $1500 out of pocket. Lesson learned. Questions the number of endless billable follow ups, especially when they are the exact same as standard mammogram.

Now that Charles River Medical is in the news for harboring a rapist as one of their participating…read moredoctors, I would like to add my experiences. I went there for years not realizing that there are other options in the area to get my medical care. I have had experiences with several doctors there for over a period of years. Their medical care should be reported to the National Medical Review Board for minimal and haphazard medical care. You will be seen for exactly 10 minutes. The doctors will be brief in answering your questions, they will become curt and frustrated if you ask more than 5 questions. They do blood work, go over results, omitting info and if your medical issues are too detailed, you will be sent on your way. I have always left feeling ignored and disrespected, Their Endocrinologist on Union Ave is especially guilty of this. They will not allow you to change your PCP either! Out of sheer frustration I changed to another medical group. I am now receiving minimal one-hour visits with their PCP and Specialists all doctors take great care of you. They do not skimp or cut corners in their medical care, and I feel very well taken care of. Charles River Medical needs vast improvement in their care, their attitude, and their medical expertise.
