Was told my puppy was the toy breed and would get no bigger than 4 1/2 lbs. At 16 weeks he is already 7 lbs and still growing. When I questioned the breeder at 5.2 lbs about his size, she asked me what I was feeding him. I feed him the same brand food she recommended. He is in NO way overweight, and the Vet said that was not question that even made sense. At 16 weeks I reached out again, frustrated that I spent the money for a smaller dog and I turn getting one that is bigger than was expected. I understand if he was maybe a lb or 2 bigger, but at this rate, the Vet said he will be between 10-15lbs easily. I was refused any kind of refund and was rudely spoken to. Then questioned on my love for the dog. I DO love my dog, but at the same time, I DO NOT like someone taking my money and lying about what I can expect to get. I hope this is an isolated incident. I had to drive over 4 hrs to her home as well as 4 hrs back. I could have easily purchased a dog this size in my own town. Very disappointed in her reaction to the issue. read more
