My dogs are excellent judges of character and they love Julie! We followed her from Petco and wouldn't trust our dogs with anyone else.

Recently had my mini schnauzer groomed at this location. My pup now has an irritated vulva and…read morehasn't slept well for 2 nights now. I see other comments with same complaints. If this issue has existed, I would like to ask why it hasn't been remedied yet? Perhaps change of old clippers or ensuring hot clippers aren't being used. Extremely disappointed with how my pup was handled. Please find another location for grooming. I wouldn't recommend this place.

This review is for my experience on Friday, June 19, 2021…read more An employee (Maddie) called me a BITCH! The whole time she was cursing me I never once called her any sort of name. This incident was very surprising because I have used Happy Tails West to board my dog many times and have never been met with such animosity and disrespect! The manager on duty (Quin) got an attitude with me when I complained that I had been trying to reach them for the last 48 hours and no one responded to my messages. My plans had changed due to employment requirements. I am an active duty service member. I needed to pick my dog up two days earlier than planned. The way I was treated today was so frustrating. I mean...my dog was probably treated better than I was today. Smh What has customer service come to? Then, to top it all off I was told to get out, and Quin threatened to call the police on me. For what? Because you're not trained on conflict resolution and how to handle customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction?! After I was told to get put, I explained to them that I still needed to pay....Here I go again trying to be the honest broker and level headed person when I should've just lost my sh@! like they did. Quin told me they didn't need my money. And Maddie was bold enough to admit she called me a bitch while I was recording. I have it all on video. I drove 40+ miles to board my dog here and this is how I'm treated. Disgusting, professional, rude as all get out! Do NOT board your dog here ...especially if you're a person of color. The white lady who came in after me was treated like royalty without any hesitation Smh.

Made a grooming appt for a cut for my 4 yr old maltipoo. The cost was $75. (basic $55+20 for extra…read morespecial "shampoo and conditioner & facial + breath freshener"... I made it clear that he needed to be cut but I wanted to keep as much hair as possible . I informed them however to "cut whats needed". That direction was perhaps too broad because they shaves him like he was a cousin to a freshborn chihuahua! lol After looking at him, the agreed price was $75. I signed my name to the services and all. Well, the drop off and switch occurred 15-20 mins later when I get a call that they want to add $15 for "matt removal" for the CHEST area. That bumps the bill to now $90! The sheer shock to see my poor pup afterwards was so disappointing. He also seemed extra skiddish when I picked him up despite him going to groomers for his entire life. By the time I made it home, his now very visible skin looked inflamed and red and bleeding in areas. I called the store back same day and they said the groomer (Julie) was already gone for the day. She did called back the following morning and provided the list of items used on my pup. She was nice but a partial refund should have been offered when I told her I had to now take him to the vet to be checked. Last night, I gave him an oatmeal bath to calm the skin to give him temporary relief. I understand there was a bit of tangled hair but to shave him to the lowest all over shows zero effort. The hair around his face was "choppy" and poorly shaped Never again! For the record, The store staff and Julie was friendly and kept complimenting how "cute" and sweet he was as a pup, and the grooming area and store looked clean but this experience was horrid. 2 photos show results after the grooming appt at Petsense in West Monroeby groomer "Julie" and assts. 1 photo included shows what he typically looks like when properly groomed without issues
