Doors opened at 9 am event over at 1:30 pm There were various vendors available like bingo, painting, hair cut and nails done for our seniors. They had allot of activities. Entertainment blew the roof off the top Elvis impersonator had a time slot from 12:30 to 1 pm my mother in law enjoyed his singing and was memorized along with many others. B-12 shot were available from Lindora for those that wanted one. You just needed to scan the bar code. We took advantage of that while there. I seen a caricatures there and asked my mother in law would she mind if we had got one done. I'm happy I asked her we had fun just at the thought. 1 pm to 1:30 we enjoyed the Zumba Class by Renee boy I was behind but I tried it.

Keep in mind: Chemical free products are essential and/or avoidance to chemical exposure. . Repairs: Time sensitivity is needed. The living spaces I saw were spacious and clean, and the public areas were well-tended and contemporary. I enjoyed dining with my friend; the meal was delicious. I was impressed that the chef stopped by to personally check on us. . The selection of daily activities, social events, a work-out area and craft center were exciting and impressive. I felt very safe and cozy at Astoria Park. It's definitely on my list as I consider active senior living options near neighborhood amenities.

Plenty of parking here, as it doubles as a senior citizen center. This place gets busy in the afternoons as i see seniors coming in for yoga and a bunch of other activities. we come here to play tennis. there are only two courts, but i've always found at least one court open every single time i've come here, which is at least once a week in the early afternoon. there are big trees surrounding the courts which gives you a nice shade, especially helpful if you don't want to get a tan.

My grandmother recently entered hospice with limited time remaining per her doctor's assessment. We…read moresought professional caregiving services, and in interviewing agencies over the phone, we were clear and direct about the services required. A significant, and common, part of her hospice care would entail administering meds, and we inquired about this directly over the phone. We were assured that this was a service that Home Instead provided, and we moved forward with scheduling an in-home assessment. At the appointment, the service professional said that they, in fact, do not administer meds. I would have hoped that an agency that provides care during such vulnerable times would be direct and sensitive in answering questions related to caregiving before moving forward with services. The misleading information presented to us over the phone has resulted in wasted time and further delays in securing care for my grandmother. I sincerely hope that this review is considered and practices are refined to better inform potential clients, holding more respect and awareness of the stress, time, and emotional energy required to secure care at end of life. This could have been avoided had our direct questions over the phone been answered accurately. The unnecessary time spent at the at home assessment would have been better used enjoying the precious moments remaining with my grandmother.

We have repeatedly made 1 staffing request which has been ignored - not only denied but never addressed. Agency policies regarding client confidentiality need to be clarified as well. My husband and I have enough extra challenges to face without hearing that our living room furniture is being reviewed among Home Instead care providers.

Sure enough, for the last four years, I have met some great women, received wonderful training, and had many opportunities to volunteer throughout the community. This isn't pearls and high heels - these are normal, professional women. This is an organization whose mission is to promote volunterism, develop potential of women, and improve the community. It's a win-win! This organization formed or assisted in forming: Armory Center for the Arats, Kidspace Children's museum, the Huntington Library docent program, the Pasadena Senior Center, and a community resource facility at Madison Elementary, amongst many others. If you want to make an impact in the area and join some amazing women, then I recommend looking into the JLP. p.s. Wine and Dinner is served at most meetings. Definitely doesn't hurt after work!
