Inner Strength Gym is different. When you walk in the door and you see the walls, the mats and the bags you know that this gym is different. Whether you walk in on a Tuesday night after work or Sunday morning before your day starts you are at Inner Strength Gym because of what it does to you. MMA gyms all over have cool names but they are names that don't mean anything. They are names that are simply meant to pull you in the door and hopefully will look cool on a shirt. Inner strength is something everyone has and it is something people need help remembering they have sometimes. Inner Strength Gym does this, it makes you a stronger person. I'm sure any gym you go to and jump on the treadmill and pump some iron will give you some strength but it cannot give you what you get at a place like Inner Strength Gym. Those walls test you. The mats and bags test you. Your sparring partners tests you and you will have to test yourself. This is not for the weak of heart. What we do makes you push yourself harder and farther than people would do by themselves. You work to find your limits and then you work past them. Anyone who thinks they are too "fill in your story" I can tell you you're wrong. Inner Strength is home to middle school, high school and college students as wells as fighters and trainers from all over New England. There are 30, 40 and 50 year olds who walk through those doors every week and walk out happier people and better people than when they walked in. As a practitioner and trainer for MMA fighters and a teacher of different styles of martial arts, Greg Swanson runs on of the best gyms in New England and has one of the best groups who train at his gym. I hope that people can find it in themselves to come down, walk through those doors and see the walls, the mats and the bags and see in Inner Strength Gym what I have. There is more in you than you think. Matt K.

High Street Yoga is the best (HOT) yoga studio in the Westerly area…read more What sets HSY apart from other studios in the area is definitely their flexible schedule, awesome instructors, reasonable pricing & showers! I'm partial to their 6am hour of power class during the week. I actually wish Deb taught at 6am every morning but I'm being greedy. They have classes most mornings & noon then again around dinner time. Definitely check their website for a complete list but it's easy to find a class to fit into your schedule. Not all instructors here are the same but they're all great. Every one brings their own personality to class & some can be more challenging than others. So you think $140 a month isn't cheap for yoga? Well yoga is expensive but HSY is definitely most competitive when it comes to price options. A "drop in" for most studios is at least $15 & some don't let you purchase packages. HSY does offer a trial membership so you know what you're getting into before plunking down too much cash. Yoga is an investment & if you're serious you'll definitely get your money's worth. And not every studio I've practiced at has offered locker rooms and/or showers. It's great to take a shower & change into clean clothes after 90 minutes of breathing & stretching.
