A great find in Amberg…read more While walking the quaint streets of Amberg, we decided to eat here. The we were seated quickly at a table with plenty of room for our party of five. I don't remember if there were English menus, but our waiter spoke English and talked us through our order. Everything about our meal was very good. The meat is cooked in an open grill, located in the bar area. You can see the magic as it happens. Again, the service was very good, my beer glass was never empty. Look at the pictures to see the quality of the food, and yes, I like my steak rare. We would return.

Allg. auch, dass hier eine zeitnahe Zu- oder Absage eintrifft und NICHT, dass der Kunde nach 5 Tagen kurz vor den Feierlichkeiten nochmals hinterherrufen muss, ob die Reservierung nun bestätigt ist oder nicht. 2) Wenn ein Restaurant eine zeitliche Begrenzung auf Tische vorhält, dann sollte das dem Kunden auch so VOR (spätestens bei/unmittelbar nach) der Reservierung mitgeteilt werden. Ohnehin ein absolutes Unding generell. Aber uns dann an meiner 60. Geburtstagsfeier rauszuschmeißen vor all und mit meinen Gästen ohne jegliche Vorabinformation, dass die Tische zeitlich begrenzt sind, ist das absolut Unprofessionellste was ich in meinem ganzen Leben erfahren durfte!!! Und auf meinen Hinweis, dass ich die Info bis dato nicht erhalten habe, mit den Schultern zu zucken und den dummen Spruch "...dann müssen wir das halt noch auf der Homepage irgendwann ergänzen..." abzugeben, ohne jegliche Lösungsoption war die Krönung des Ganzen. Wahnsinnig unprofessionelles (Fehl-)Verhalten des Restaurantpersonals und das bei einem für Amberger Verhältnisse nicht ganz günstigen Lokal. Das hat mir meine ganze Geburtstagsfeier versaut. There are birch trees everywhere, to simulate that you're eating outdoors. The burgers were good, but nothing spectacular. It is my 3rd choice for burgers in Amberg, I won't list the other two on this review though. The great thing about this place that the others didn't have were the selection of sauces at the table. With it being 4 of us as well as a table who ordered before us our wait was about an hr. Not good if you're extremely hungry or have little to no patience. After waiting our food was eventually brought out. Everyone's food was hot and fresh which makes the wait worth it. The moment we had been waiting for, after one bite there was complete silence. No one had any complaints. The chicken was cooked just right and it made you feel back home in your mother's kitchen. Everything was seasoned with love. Even the fries. From the food to the drink, everything (IMO) was phenomenal. With a little hot sauce the meal was complete and finished to the point of full. The wait was worth it but like I said if you're very hungry you might not have that patience. I recommend to anyone who loves soul food or food period. Angelos never disappoints as long as you're willing to wait.
