When I met Dr. Hagman for the first time he took his time to ask me some questions and really…read morelisten to me. I felt like he fully understood my concerns prior to giving me treatment. I had cervical spinal fusion surgery about a year and a half ago I was very nervous about getting care for my upper neck. Dr. Hagman was able to set me at ease and work on my paint areas without making me anxious. I also had chronic pain in my lower back. I felt much better after even my first visit. Highly recommend Dr. Hagman to anybody with poor posture or back pain.

From the owner: If you've been dealing with back pain, neck pain, hip pain, or sciatica and haven't found lasting…read morerelief, this might be the place that changes that. Dr. Jason Hagman and Dr. Gary Weisman have been helping patients in the Springfield area for over 30 years, and their approach goes well beyond a standard adjustment. What sets them apart is how thoroughly they figure out what's actually causing your pain — not just where you feel it. Every patient gets a detailed biomechanical assessment before treatment begins, and care plans are built around your specific condition and goals. The combination of chiropractic care, physical therapy, and soft tissue work means you're getting a whole-body approach, not a quick fix. The practice has been recognized as a top doctor for spine and hip care by NJ Top Docs seven years in a row, which says a lot about the consistency of care here. They treat patients of all ages, accept most major insurance plans including Medicare, and can usually get you in the same day. Conditions they see regularly include herniated discs, pinched nerves, arthritis, sciatica, poor posture, and sports or accident-related injuries. They also offer Pilates and functional medicine coaching for patients looking to go beyond pain relief and build long-term strength and resilience. The staff is warm, the process is straightforward, and the results tend to speak for themselves.

Presently surprised by the spa-like feel to this chiropractic office. The staff is beyond FABULOUS…read more(always call you by your name) and the doctor is friendly and not snobby at all. They obviously offer chiropractic treatment but also physical therapy, hour massages and other detox treatments.....everything to make you feel better! This office runs on time, I've never had to wait more then 5 min for treatment and I have never regretted any of my visits.

I bought a Groupon for a package of 3 separate hour-long massages, plus a consultation. I never…read moregot the consultation (which is fine with me) and all of my massages were shorter than an hour. Overall, my experience here was okay. I have back/shoulder pain and asked all my masseuses to focus on this. I had a *very* good experience with Patricia but she only gave me a 45 minute massage. I had a good experience with Darren, but he was very talkative and it was more of a sports massage than a relaxing massage. I had a terrible (and a some points painful) experience with Jamie and I recommending avoiding him at all costs. My first massage was with Darren, in the room behind the receptionist's desk. Darren had a sports massage style. It was almost chiropractor-like, with a lot of stretching and pulling. He would put my arms in a certain position and pull while telling me when to breathe. He also did some massaging with his hands, but a lot of the experience was him stretching me. He did not really listen to me when I said that I wanted the focus to be on my back/shoulders; he spent a good amount of time on my arms, hands, legs, and chest. He explained that he felt that those areas were affecting my back/shoulders, but I was really hoping to have the knots in my shoulders actually worked out. Overall the massage felt good, but it was not very relaxing. At some points, the massage hurt a bit from the stretching/pulling, but there was no long-lasting pain afterwards. My massage lasted about 50 minutes. Darren is very talkative, so I didn't find this massage particularly relaxing (e.g. at one point when he found out what I do, he asked me what the worst part of my job is... why would I want to talk about that at a massage???) Jamie (male) was my masseuse the second time. I was in a different room, down the hall from the receptionist's desk. This room is split in the middle so that two massages can go on at the same time. It was a very annoying experience because the masseuse on other side of the room had a client and they kept speaking very loudly, so it was hard for me to relax. Also, it was an AWFUL massage. I recommend avoiding Jamie at all costs. He kept changing his technique, using his hands, then his elbows (which HURT), and moving from one part of my body to the next so quickly, that I didn't really feel like my knots were being worked out. Towards the end of the massage, he used several of those cheap massage knobs (you know, the kind they sell at Bath and Body Works for $1 in the plastic bins near the cashier). He would use one, then another, then another. It was like his ADHD was being expressed on my body. He also pressed so deeply into the BONE on my back that I was in more pain afterwards than I had been when I came in. Furthermore, Jamie was completely oblivious to basic massage etiquette. For example, he used lotion during the massage, but would place the bottle ON MY BODY while he massaged me. Like, he would pump lotion into his hand, and then leave the bottle lying on my butt or on my thigh while he massaged my back. And at one point, he pulled up the sheet to expose my legs to massage them, but I asked him to focus on my back instead, since that's what was bothering me. He returned to my back to continue massaging me, but never covered my legs back up! I was exposed and getting a little bit chilly. I asked him twice to cover my legs, but I guess he didn't hear me, so he never did anything. I had to reach down to pull the sheet back to cover myself and even after he saw me do this, he never apologized. He also never gave me a pillow for my legs during the massage (either under my shins when I was on my stomach or behind my knees when I was on my back). I asked him for a pillow and he didn't seem to understand; when I explained what I wanted, he told me he didn't have an extra pillow for this. Seriously??? The massage he gave me lasted less than 50 minutes. The pain afterwards lasted hours. My last massage was with Patricia. It was a very quiet, relaxing massage. She did a great job working out the knots in my back, shoulders, and neck. Her technique was very traditional, using her hands (no elbow use, no pounding), with a little bit of stretching. She did not talk much and I never felt the need to say anything because she seemed to understand perfectly what I needed. She only gave me a 45 minute massage, which was a bit disappointing because I wanted it to last longer (and it was supposed to), but it was the best massage experience I had here. I would recommend her. Note: They don't have late weekday appointments, and on the weekends, they are only open on Saturday. The parking lot is on Spruce Street, behind the building where they are located.
