I could swear I put this up before, given I've gone there for years. Bought some sausages, did not have an expiration date on them. Took them back, returned them, was able to find the same package as I swept by them again. Sad behavior, I'm sure that those folks have changed in the last few years. Handy location in many ways, not so fussy about store cards, but sloppy about coordinating opening times with web sites and also maintaining those times, e.g., will close 10-15 min. early. they could be better but function as a more approachable alternative to Giant, and their pharmacy is ok, and nicer and less monopolistic than CVS. I'll go back, but at times, they could be a better store. read more

-This store honors any Weis coupon, regardless of expiration. If you paid for a $5 off $25 coupon with your points, it's still redeemable here even if you're too late. -There's a lack of cashiers simply because of the lack of employees; however they do what they can to negate long lines and help you get out the door faster. -Most employees are very kind! -Reasonable complaints are taken seriously at this store. read more

The pharmacy is horrible to deal with. The staff talk to each other about personal issues, while I was waiting at the counter, and get to you when they are ready. They are less than polite, and passive aggressive when you ask questions. They correct me when I ask a question in what they perceive is the wrong way. They wouldn't hold onto a prescription for me when I couldn't get there to pick it up by their hold date. They don't check their voicemail messages to get your prescription ready in a timely fashion. I have used other Weis pharmacies in the past 30 years, and this is one of the worst to deal with. read more

Although Western Union has a service counter at Weis Markets, their staff don't know how to redeem an incoming transfer. They sent me to nearby Giant, where the service person had to wrestle with the system for a half hour but finally cleared the payment. WU should stop directing people to their Weis outlets. Weis staff tend to be less friendly and knowledgeable than those at Giant or Wegmans. Also, regarding general food and household merchandise, Weis is far inferior than local competitors in quality of service and product offerings. Go elsewhere. read more

Wow! Some crabby reviewers here. I just happened to see the nasty Yelp comment about the Weis PO and was moved to stop what I was doing and write in. The post people there among the nicest I've ever met - and not a few times, I've seen the postman going out of his way to patiently wait on an elderly or confused person, having difficulty deciding how to mail a precious parcel and heard other customers making spontaneous remarks of admiring gratitude about his kindness and patience. All the virtues of a small town post office in a grocery store, thus saving us time. I'm grateful and have to wonder what in the world sours the worldview of Britt H so much. I appreciate the staff at the Boalsburg PO and downtown main branch but they are frequently rushed and overworked (and thus often impatient and sometimes even brusque). Never so with the folks at the Rolling Ridge Weis USPS! Such a lovely man he is. read more

I've been eating pizza for 50 years and never failed to finish a slice due to taste. Well, thanks to Weis Market's Take and Bake Pizza, that streak is now over. It was the worst pizza to ever make it past my lips. I didn't finish the first slice and threw the rest into the garbage. I was afraid to put it down the garbage disposal, afraid I'd never be able to get that smell out of the drains. Stinky cheese (literally), sour sauce and cardboard crust. If that's something you like by all means visit Weis Markets for this affront to pizza makers worldwide. I didn't like it. read more

This Weis is nice, however, items are often out of date. I went to the deli to find king Hawaiian rolls. All of them were out of date so I asked the man at the deli if he had anymore. He said "The bakery person had left for the day." King Hawaiian rolls come frozen and are stocked by deli workers. I have not gone back since. read more

Well we were at both stores #197 (Mifflinburg) and #31 (Lewisburg) today (3/7/2021) and sadly nothing has changed regarding managements enforcement of mask required policies. Worst USPS location in State College, PA. Save your time and go to another USPS location. The staff is incredibly rude and slow. I asked for the cheapest price to ship my package and the old lady just blinked her eyes at me and looked confused. VERY incompetent at doing her job. read more

Dec 25th, 1pm, web site says open but I just stopped by by for butter (we ran out at the last minute), the lights are on but the doors are locked. If closed, change the web site so customers don't drive there expecting the store to be o-en. read more

NEVER EVER do they have enough registers open. It doesn't matter what time of day you go either. The self check outs have constant problems.

This is one of the worst-managed grocery store I have ever shopped in. In particular, their produce on display has seen better days (or months!). The fruits you buy there are on their last days. Some are already rotten! Several times I had to draw the attention of the store personnel to rotten oranges or tomatoes. Further, some refrigerated items are past their expiration date. This why I try to be very careful before I put an item on the shopping cart. Today, I was in a hurry, and noted only when I came home that the hummus I bought had lapsed expiration date. Another aspect of poor management is that items you use to buy disappear from the shelves for long stretches of time, so your shopping list becomes a wish list. You get the items on that list only when you lucky. Finally, a small but very telling point. Plastic bags in the produce area are often not available in the isle you are shopping in and you have to look for them elsewhere. There are often hooks but no plastic bags. This occurs in each of my visits there. I shop there because it is next to my gym, but would be glad to switch when a decent store opens nearby. read more

This location recently underwent a much needed renovation. It used to be a 1 star experience with okay sales, but the store was dirty, dingy, and nothing to write home about. Now, the selection has increased, the store sparkles, and the staff seem reinvigorated. Well done Weis Markets. read more

Nice store... I shop here regularly. somebody's brilliant idea to put the price stickers on the bottom of the pies so you have to turn the pie upside down to see the price... Cashier Kristen polite but did not say thank you- too busy texting while she waited on me. (I couldn't believe the management permitted this). This store recently had a much needed upgrade and the employees seem better trained in customer service. However they still have a ways to go. Some (most?) employees now are friendly and helpful but not all, unfortunately. Also it still irks me that they have no express checkout line with a real human being. I hate the auto kiosks and refuse to use them. read more

Wilson Wilson! He's the man! If he can't get you excited about beer then NOONE can! He works in the beer and wine section of Weis. He is super knowledgeable and super nice to every customer that he meets! It's honestly fun just to watch him in action and listen to how he interacts with customers. He treats other genuinely and gets them excited about his passion... BEER! His good mood rubs off on others and you can see it. Anyways thank you for being awesome! I recently went to this Weis to buy a digital thermometer. When I got home, the thermometer wouldn't turn on. I drove back to Weis for an exchange. When I got to the customer service desk, the lady wouldn't even look up from what she was doing. I finally asked her if I could do an exchange and her reply was "Yeah, you'll have to wait for a customer service representative though. This isn't my department" in the most crass, rude voice. She then walked away. A few minutes later she returned with another employee who told me a straight exchange would be fine. This experience in addition to a few past experiences will make me rethink purchasing anything here again. read more

This is one of the worst grocery stores I've seen in a developed country. Double check expiration dates. Today, (August 30) I found eggs there with an expiration date of August 27. That's not good, but what happened next is inexcusable. The next carton of eggs I picked up had an expiration date of June 30! EGGS 2 MONTHS PAST SELL BY DATE! I brought both to customer service along with a package of produce that wasn't marked with a sell by date. The young man working there couldn't find it either and suggested I go find someone in the produce department to help me. (This store does not believe in a paging system?) Way to go Customer Service! There are VERY good employees here and I do not want to take away from them. BUT. I shop early in the morning and if you have a problem, the skinny older lady "up in the office" is 100% not customer oriented. SHe will tell you -- sorry - but I am busy. I witnessed this this morning again. I almost butted in and said, yes the guy lost his credit card, so eff him because you are too busy. I will go to Giant .. her attittude to customers (and to the caring employess who try to help customers) in the early AM is terrible and I have been a victim of it time and again and have seen it with others. read more
