Ordered online a couple of days in advance, the online experience was pretty easy. Went to pick up, and it was quite confusing. Their 'Pickup Online Order Here' sign is right in front of a 'No Parking Firezone' sign. Wasn't really sure where to park. Then called the # they listed to tell them I was here for a pickup, and there was some confusion on where I was located- "What side of the store are you on?" (Um, if I'm facing the store or coming out?? I guess coming out, since they will be coming out.) "I'm on the left side." "Oh, ok, the CVS side?" "No, sorry, the other side." "Ok, the coffee shop side?" "I don't know if there's a coffee shop here, I'm in front of your 'pickup online order here' sign." "Oh ok, we'll be right out." When the staff brought out my order, she said they had special ordered a sushi platter I bought, because they don't normally carry it. I appreciate that, but it shouldn't be on the website available for purchase if that's the case. There were also 4 other items not in stock. I might shop in-store at some point, but not sure I'll order online. Especially since there's apparently no way to know if the item you're ordering is actually carried at that store! And I'm not always in the mood to play "Who's on first?" read more

Weis Markets - Online order pickup parking is in a firezone... - Grocery Near Me - Binghamton, New York

Was there last week and was surprised to find my favorite chocolate cream filled donuts (Wei's brand). Was going to cut one in half and empty inside! Same in the last 2! This has happened before too! Guess your hometown bakery doesn't care to do their job correctly!!! At $1.00 each, $6.00 a box of six, definitely not something I buy weekly! Need to get on your home office bakery! read more

Pathetic Service. Tried to call to see if they had something in stock. Called several different days and various times and couldn't get anyone to answer. read more

Beware that the "loyalty" card points system is rigged to strip you of points earned if you choose to use some of your points for a gas discount at Marabitos. I lost 400 points while making a purchase today. Weis system clears all remaining points after you make a gas purchase. so much for loyalty, that's a cheat. Bye the way, don't waist your time calling the # on the back of the "loyalty" card. You'll get a recording that says they're swamped with calls but promises to connect to someone if you just wait. We'll I waited over an hour but no one came to answer. They also say they will call you back but then they won't accept your #. You would think that they save enough money cheating on loyalty points that they could hire someone to answer the phone read more

I live next to the Weis market in West Coerners NY. It was a Giant market and bought out by Weis a few years back. To think a local grocery store can be as bad as they are is unexplainable. The produce needs to be picked through to find good product. Can not tell how many times nothing was purchased because of soggy brown produce. Don't even bother trying to buy fruit. The ONLY place I have ever bought fruit from that EVERYTHING tastes like wax. Also, don't bother asking anyone for help... EVERY SINGLE TIME, they need to find someone else to help. Sooooo... my wife decided to use their "call ahead" ordering groceries. When I went to pick them up, no one answered the phone. I had to go inside to tell them that I was here to pick up groceries. I was told that they would be right out. A half hour later, someone brought the groceries out. When I got home we found that 6 items were substituted. That's great, other than there are medical reasons why specific food is purchased. We had to return the items. This has been going on for YEARS now. Take this review however you want, but I have now had ENOUGH with this Weis market. I will NEVER step foot in there again. Price Chopper is basically the same distance away...they will be getting my $350 dollars a week from now on. Bye-bye Weis.... )~^,-] read more

I swung in there for a money order. Goto counter, five minutes go by, no sign of anyone. Then a woman with Weis shirt comes out of back, doesn't even acknowledge me at counter. I say hello too, no response. Stares off in another direction. Then a young male comes from somewhere. I say hello 2 or three times before a response. Haiden or Jaiden goes customer service closed and points to sign showing customer service hours. The sign however isn't out, its next to register. Sign says closes 6pm. I go to car, clock says 5:35pm. I took a pic if needed. I call the customer service number. A woman picks up, says theyre open, she apologized, she was in the back. I explained to her what happened. Haiden or Jaiden, you need to learn customer service. Lucky I didnt need TWO money orders. read more

I was checking out my groceries at the self serve checkout. When I was finished, I very nicely said good night to the lead cashier. She was so rude to me basically rolled her eyes at me and struggled to attempt to say good night back. I was literally 3 feet away from her.. so it was very evident that she's just a rude person. She should be in the back stocking shelves. No personality, For front end work. read more

They closed due to 8" of snow. I guess they don't need the money. That's why I will continue to shop Wegmans, Walmart or Target. News flash A$$hats. We live in the North East. It snows here. Poor excuse for a grocery store. read more

Weis on hopper road had terrible produce tomatoes were wrinkled and lettuce was moldy. No flavor whatsoever and this was in the organic section. Was very disappointed. Weis in Binghamton south side though was excellent! Huge variety of organic fresh produce, fully stocked and very well maintained store. Great selection of organic breads and bagels as well, surprised to see they carry Dave's killer bread! Only thing is their health and beauty section is not as great as it could be. I did not see some stuff I see in target target is better in this department. Also there was no 7th generation products for cleaning, which honestly there should be. Weis in Binghamton south side though recommended over all. read more

Incredibly overpriced. Employees are arrogant and angry all the time. Prices are through the roof! I bought 2 tomatoes and left. never again weis read more

Tried to cash lotto ticket (finally got a winner). Apparently they didn't have enough money in the "whole" store to cash it. $400.... ridiculous read more

it's very rare that i review a chain, but i just want people to know that they need to look at the expiration dates on products they buy from this weis location. last week my mother bought a jar of pickles that expired 2 years ago and i was in there today and they were selling bacon that had a use by (not sell by) date of today, for a whopping one dollar discount!! i bought a bad pack of bacon there a while ago too but this time i knew to check. and last week i was looking to buy some key lime juice for a pie and every bottle they had on the shelf expired a month ago. so expired goods is just one con among many. as soon as weis took over giant markets i noticed a few things immediately. this location stopped selling dinosaur bbq's wango tango sauce. they still sold their other sauces, and other weis stores in the area still sold wango tango, but for some reason this weis stopped. also, my favorite flavor of muffins (cran-orange) were no longer available. there were also price hikes and things became a lot harder to find as they rearranged the stores. i do have to say that the produce section here is pretty horrible. most of the peppers they sell here are in horrible condition and it takes me a few minutes to find one that's passable to use. that said, there are some pros to this place too. i've never had an issue with anyone who worked there and the store does always seem pretty clean. they have store brand items that are pretty decent quality and they have a decent beer selection and an option to do a pick your own mixed 6 pack. the bakery does have good donuts, the fried chicken they have though is just ok. they also sell Direnzos breads here, which is a huge plus. ever since these guys took over Giant markets i started going to Wegmans once a week, and this became my "stop in to get a few things on the way home" place. stores are inconsistent on what products they sell (prepackaged direnzos pizza is available at the conklin ave location but not the penn ave location) and like i said, the produce is horrible and there's not much selection. and like i said earlier, always check the expiration dates! read more

big fan of this weis! never that crowded, usually well stocked, good deals, sweet folks at the checkout... enough to keep me coming every week! read more

Have been almost 100 times. This location is better than the East Side location, and less imposing that the ones on Upper Front Street, Vestal or Endicott. Staff are cooperative and I go here rather than their competition on Main Street. Reason: It's much more accessible to downtown and the University, selection is excepting some Mondays. The key with Weismarkets is to watch for discounts and markdowns, and hey, who doesn't in this econ ?? read more

Are you disabled? Do you require medical equipment? Avoid this store unless you want to hear snide comments from the employees. God forbid they be "forced" to allow your medical equipment in their store. They're lucky I wasn't recording at the time or I'd be on my way to the news station. read more

The people who work there reek like they don't shower or use deodorant and the place is scummy and sometimes there is what looks like dog poop on the floor. The prices are outrageous, and the people who work there like to try to get into your business. I don't care if a 50 year old woman doesn't like me buying beer because her husbands a drunk, it's her job to sell it to me not give me a lecture! They need to seriously clean the place up, hire mostly new people who are CLEAN and lower there prices a bit. read more

The employees are rude, ask them where something is and no one can tell you anything... Also so unclean. Floors look like they are never done, always dirt on the ground take a pair of white gloves touch the shelf and you're going to have to put them in the wash. Will never go to another Weis market. The disrespect is unbelievable!!! read more
