Notably, my last meal here was a gnocchi with Argentinian prime steak strips, tomatoes, spinach, grated Parmesan cheese on top, and a small side salad. The gnocchi were just a hair on the softer side and sitting in just a bit too much oil. But that maybe because I was dining at 9:30 pm. Otherwise the steak strips were made to order (medium rare) and the flavors were all rich and well executed.

I wanted fish and there was only one plate on the menu. A note stated that since it was not possible to get the variety of fresh fish at this time of year from Lake Constance, they could only offer the one choice as they would not lower their standards and serve frozen fish. I ordered the fish and my company ordered the roast beef steak with caramelized onions, both came with pan fried potatoes. We ended up trading half of each dish and both were by far the best meal I've had in Germany! Good wine, good service, good atmosphere...it was a fantastic evening.
