Mr. Russell Greenblatt handled all of the details and made sure everything was in accordance with the Jewish traditions. I navigated to their website to learn of services, only to find their security protocols were not current deeming their website unusable for me. Instead, I called them on the phone, told them I had a problem getting to their website and asked for my deceased friend's service schedule. A very nasty man barked at me and directed me to go to their website nonetheless. He adamantly argued that his website had all the latest security protocols and I was wrong. I just wanted to know what time my dead friend's service was. What kind of a Jewish memorial chapel barks at mourners and calls a Jewish funeral a "wake?" Is this place even legitimate? Disgraceful. Although in the end everything went smoothly I would never recommend Weinstein Memorial Chapel. The person (Gary) I did business with and represented for the Chapel was very unprofessional. I called the day before and asked if I could come down in the morning to see my mother. He said I didn't need to see her, I'd be seeing the next day at the service and that she would be cold for being refrigerated. I insisted and he conceded. I told him I'd call before coming. The next day, he called and asked me not to come too early because there was a funeral going on in the morning. I thought I'd be respectful and told him I'd come later. He then called me to ask me how soon I could get there because he had some personal things to attend to. I told him I was leaving to come right away. When I arrived a half an hour later, he was on the phone, loudly talking to someone about his prescription coverage. He said, I'll be right with you, I'm in the middle of something. When he got off the phone he rushed around saying, I didn't think you'd be here so soon. This is the reason I won't use this business again. I will say though, our limo driver, Patrick was a very nice gentleman and very appropriate. read more

WEINSTEIN REVIEW: Unfortunately, my family lost my beloved Father-in-Law and Weinstein Memorial Chapel's services were invaluable. From meeting us at the hospice where he passed away insuring proper Jewish customs were followed as per my Father-in-law's wishes to the day of the actual funeral,everyone was extremely respectful,caring,and didn't give off that artificial condolences that far too many Chapels have become known for. Tammi (I hope spelling is correct) met us immediately at the hospice and gave us clear,calm instructions and insured us Weinstein would follow through as per our initial instructions and when the entire family met with Russell to make all the final arrangements,it was like family..He was there to guide us from that day to the day of burial,even to the point of offering me his jacket at the cemetery as it was unseasonably cool..He was aware and met all of our families needs and we will be forever grateful to Weinstein to all the kindness they have shown to all of us and thank them with all our hearts. TRADITIONAL MONUMENT REVIEW: Traditional Monument is a company that Weinstein uses and after two years of terrible experiences with other monument companies-Weinstein pointed me in the right direction. My own precious mother passed away on May 2014 and still does not have foot stone due to lack of follow-thru of believe it or not THREE monument companies I tried using. I was determined to get this stone done for Mom this year and while going through paperwork we found my Mother-in-law's beautiful stone was created by Traditional Monuments that works in conjunction with Weinstein Chapel. I called immediately and Fern at Traditional Monuments got done in TWO WEEKS what I couldn't get three other companies to do in TWO YEARS!!! Fern is a true professional in every way,explaining all you options,guiding you through the process,and making incredible suggestions that simplified a process that can be a little complicated,not only making my life easier but relieving my frustration and guilt and my wonderful mother not having her foot stone for two years which broke my heart every day. Fern made me feel so much better in every way and there are no real words of thanks that would ever be adequate for all she has done to help me not only with this project but emotionally. We will be using Traditional again soon to do the engraving on my father-in-law's headstone as well.. I would never think of going anywhere else. This place is awful and I would not recommend this place. My mom died a little over a month ago at the age of 93. These people were unprofessional and uncaring, although I have a small family and most of them came from out of town the rushed me through after the, lservice when I was talking to my relatives. The limousine driver was actually nasty and when they picked us up at my house they rushed us although we were not running late, and they did the same when we went to the cemetery and told me to call my daughter who was right behind us. Afterwards they forgot to give me my mothers belongings and candle and they gave this to my stepson, and my husband had to pick up this way afterwards. I also will never forget that the minute I arrived at the funeral home before the service they were quick to demand payment for the balance of their money. It does feel a little uncomfortable to review an establishment such as this ; however because I feel so strongly negative about Weinstein's, I believe it necessary to put it into print. My mother past on to the next life at the age of 95 . All arrangements were made in advanced everything to the most minute detail was planned so things should have gone smoothly in order that the time of bereavement we would not have to worry about them ; sadly due to the owners uncaring attitude it did not . Although we requested two limousines for us and our guests , only one was sent , which meant that members of our party had to take their own vehicles to make the trip to the chapel. When we finally arrived there was no one to greet us, or to usher us into the waiting area, which forced our funeral party to wander aimlessly until the rabbi instructed us where we could wait. The only amenities were some boxes of tissues , and a water fountain that you may have found at a high school hallway . The owner who was so gracious when all pre- arrangements were finalized , at the time of the funeral he had made himself scarce. When he was approached by one of my party he said ," Can't you see I'm talking to someone else right now " !! Nowhere did this caustic gentleman apologize for his rude nature, or unprofessional manner . The pinnacle of this poor treatment came as my guests some with walkers and oxygen tanks made their way out from the main chapel room , and were literally ordered by the owner to speed it up and move it along as he had another funeral coming in. In short not a place which I would recommend for a business that deems a gentle touch and an understanding heart , Weinstein's has none of these read more

I'd like to express my appreciation and praise for Weinstein Memorial Chapel in how they handled my father's funeral. Our family gathered from various parts of the country on the iciest day of the year to bury dad, and Weinstein was there for us to help make all the difficult decisions that face a family at a difficult and stressful time. They were caring and flexible and gave all of us the support we needed both emotionally and logistically. Unlike many corporate-run funeral homes, Weinstein's is family owned and operated, and this is reflected in the way they took care of us, as if dad was part of their family as well as ours. read more
