This was the only wine shop we could find that was open this late, but I since learned that there are a couple of grocery stores in town that sell wine that is just about as good and also a bit cheaper than here. They just don't have rapid chillers. Lots of options for uncheap Alsatian wines to go and even more options if you're willing to stay. They do have some appetizers and nibbles that go well with wine for those who would prefer to enjoy it here. [Review 16430 overall - 65 in France - 1938 of 2021.]

Inside is a lightly lit modern cozy decor with cowhide wrapped overhead lighting, wood grain tables and chairs adorned with black metal throughout. Menus are posted in the tables and you can get a French, German or English version. The waitress was very prompt to get our drink order and faster than we were ready for our food order. We opted to share two savory tartes and save dessert for the Christmas market. I also ordered a vin chaud as I was a bit cold from the boat ride. The vin chaud was very balanced in sweetness, spice and tannins from the wine I highly recommend if you're cold. MUNSTER MIEL [VEGETARIAN] Sour cream, onions, with Munster cheese, honey and thyme : 13,00 € This was a great replacement for a sweet Flambee. The bite from the cheese with the sweetness from the honey made this a great Flambee to pair with something smoky. BOEUF SECHÉ D'ALSACE & COMTÉ Sour cream, onions, comté cheese , smoked beef bacon, garlic, arugula : 17,00 € The beef bacon was incredibly smoky and paired very well with the creamy comte cheese. Going back and forth between this and the Munster couldn't have been better planned. The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic, the atmosphere was comfortable and fun. What a great place to enjoy a meal. We're so glad we came and so LucKy to get in with a short wait Reservations accepted after 6pm service!

They have both savory and sweet selections. Many locals come here for lunch, scoring savory pies and pizza breads. Many tourists come to drool over the BEAUTIFUL pastries. I, a tourist, bought both! Passion fruit raspberry tart - OMG, that little dollop of passion fruit was worth the money and the rest of it is divine. Super size raspberry macaron with raspberries and a real rose petal - I chose this for its simplicity of beauty, its balance of construction (yeah, it's a thing) and for my curiosity of rather a giant macaron can taste good. Yes, yes, it can. Num, num. Caprese Toast - a beautiful slice of crusty toast, topped with a thin slice of lettuce, pesto sauce, fresh mozzarella, and sun dry tomatoes. This is easily the best Caprese toast I have ever tasted. Croissant - This French perfection did not disappoint.

Looking for a great place to try a little wine and cheese? If you find yourself in Strasbourg, then…read morelook no further than Terres a Vin. With more than 3000 wines on their wine list and a plethora of cheeses and other foods to enjoy them with, this should be on your list of places to check out when in Strasbourg. We stopped by with a group of 8, and were immediately made to feel welcome as we entered the quaint spot. While they did not have the first couple of wines we chose, they did come through with the others that we chose and then paired that with some amazing cheese. While French is the language of the land, we were quickly laughing with the locals as we tried to recall our college French and were happy to see that what we ordered was what appeared on our table! Total per person was very reasonable (about $20 Euro per person). The room is divided up into some comfortable seating areas with leather couches and bookcases, and they also have tables and chairs (including one large table for 10) if you want to gather round to talk. And the bathrooms? Super clean and pleasant. A lucky find for sure!

While it doesn't serve any real food - just cheese and charcuterie boards, the wine selection and the interior is well worth the stop, just as the advice of the owners if you are seeking to purchase a good bottle of wine, consistent with your tase and ranging anywhere from 10 to 1000 euros. All in all, that's a great place with nice and sometimes spaced-out owners, that I can but recommend, both for the quality of wines and the coziness.
