Oh my f-ing gawd, just bow down and worship this place! Come earlier in the day for the maximum possible selection. It is super popular for locals and tourists alike. They have both savory and sweet selections. Many locals come here for lunch, scoring savory pies and pizza breads. Many tourists come to drool over the BEAUTIFUL pastries. I, a tourist, bought both! Passion fruit raspberry tart - OMG, that little dollop of passion fruit was worth the money and the rest of it is divine. Super size raspberry macaron with raspberries and a real rose petal - I chose this for its simplicity of beauty, its balance of construction (yeah, it's a thing) and for my curiosity of rather a giant macaron can taste good. Yes, yes, it can. Num, num. Caprese Toast - a beautiful slice of crusty toast, topped with a thin slice of lettuce, pesto sauce, fresh mozzarella, and sun dry tomatoes. After having 8 quiches at different boulangeries in Strasbourg, I can confirm that Naegel makes the best quiche lorraine in Strasbourg (at least in my opinion). They also have lots of delicate pastries and desserts but I'm never a fan of sweet stuffs so can't vouch for those. But the quiche lorraine is tre deliceaux! Took one star out because the line is always crazy long. Prices are decent, a couple cents more than other boulangerie but you're paying for the quality so it's grand. read more

This is a high-quality pastiserie and cafe tucked in the winding medieval side streets of the Strasbourg. They have a great selection of tarts, "bearclaw" pastries, eclairs, cream puffs and more. In addition, they have a wide selection of savory items, including a local specialty of tarte flambée (fired tarts), an Alsatian regional dfish that are basically savory toppings on a crisped, flatter dough base that is usually wood fired. We had the fig tart, bearclaw and quiche. All were excellent. The store itself is clean, pleasant and a bit modern in appearance on the inside. While the service was a bit brusque, it was no more so than seemed to be usual in the region. I would recommend this for a quick bite. read more

Maison Naegel is a great stop for your morning croissant or mid-day sandwich. They have a great selection of tarts, eclairs, quiches and other treats. Service is good, yet the place can also be very busy. If you are a tourist (guilty!), don't expect to be coddled or afforded lots of extra time to look over everything or take pictures while half of Strasbourg waits behind you in line. read more

We went around 5pm and most cakes and breads were gone. But I was able to pick up a couple savory pastries. One was meat pie and that was soooo good. I also picked up a pastry with sun dried tomatoes and herbs and walnuts roll. That was good as well. read more

For a deli this place has some great food. Quiche Lorraine was excellent. Warm ham and cheese was delicious and ham wrap was tasty. Service was great. At least one of the counter girls spoke English. (I don't speak French but found it a friendly place) When we ordered, the counter girl took our food to be freshly heated and she returned to our table with it properly done (did not seem to be microwaved) I would definitely seek this place out when I return (if I'm so lucky) read more
