Staff was not friendly. Hours were not right that were posted on website, we were told they were closed when we went inside even though the hours on website and multiple flyers said they would still be open for a while. There were people on the back porch but they did not offer to let us stay at all. Will not be back. Also difficult to find the building, signage terrible, we were not sure if we were at the right place or at someone's house. Not able to enjoy it but it seemed like there was a great view off the back porch, so an extra star I guess. Lots of parking should have no trouble finding a spot. read more

We had dinner here on a Saturday night, service was excellent. We had shrimp cocktails for the appetizers, very good. The salad dressing was good, we both had the house salad. My wife had the special, stuffed pork tenderloin. The portion was huge, would have fed two. It was very good but a little dry. She had a green bean casserole as a side dish, very tasty.I had the small fillet. It was cooked perfectly and had a marvelous flavor. I had a summer squash medley that was good. For dessert my wife had the carmel apple cheesecake, simply excellent. I had the creme bulai(?) it was very good. My husband and I were out and about exploring the beautiful Ste. Genevieve countryside and doing a little bit of winery hopping. We stopped to check out this place since it is new-ish to the area. First off, the building is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The massive fireplace inside made me want to come back in the winter. We decided to buy a bottle of wine and the bartender was very helpful. We chose their blackberry, which was wonderful, if you like sweet wines like we do. We sat outside on their back patio and listened to some live music for a couple hours. It was a lovely afternoon. While the facility is not entirely finished yet, it shows amazing potential. read more

We stopped by the Weingarten Saturday. It was our first visit since last December. We were greeted like old friends. Whitney's face lit up when she saw us and was her always helpful self. Connie gave me a big hug, which is kind of nice for an old retired guy to get now and then. We had a great bottle of wine and some very nice appetizers while sitting on the porch enjoying the sun. Lisa D in the last week I was part of a party of nine people who showed up around 7:15 on a Saturday night after a long and winding Drive on a dark and narrow country road. we were looking for a wonderful place to end our winery tour day. We found this place on the web music ,was promised till 8:30. What we found was a beautiful spot, beautiful surroundings -and unfriendly and unhelpful staff. When We finally did find someone to acknowledge us , they unapologetically turned us away , stating they were not taking any more reservations for the evening even though their website does not say that they were required. One table was finishing a meal while there was a large party down stairs. Many empty tables around. The staff person refused to get a manager when we asked to speak to one. Call ahead , do not expect helpful or friendly staff, you will be awed by surroundings, and lack of service. read more

Atmosphere was great but that's the only good part. Wine was average, bartender was pushy and had a poor attitude. Careful on their driveway. One way is a old wood bridge that is close to collapse and the other is a huge hill with a bump you can't see but bottoms out your car. read more

The staff was rude, including the owner. The lower level recetion hall is not complete as is nothing in the entire place. The front door is still lacking the trim. The parking lot has a big hole about 4 feet deep that is unmarked. One day this will be a beautiful place and I hope that the people skills and business skills will grow with it. read more

My Niece held her wedding here, The place was very beautiful and the wedding was wonderful, however the employees were rude and the dinner they served was just ok. My niece and nephew were very happy until my niece found out that one of the employees gave a tour during the reception to another potential bride and made the comment that she hoped her party wouldn't make the mess that this party did. It wasn't a professional comment to make and I really hope my niece will be able to forget the comment in time so it doesn't overshadow the good memories of her special day. read more

Recently took a painting class at Weingarten Vineyard and WOW I was so impressed from the moment I pulled up. The building is so impressive and the staff is very friendly. Very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The class held by Uncorked Artist brought out an artistIc side that I didn't even know was there! Both the winery and class exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to return again. read more

It's a beautiful place but that's all the good I have to say.. Took my brother there and waited over an hour for our food, my son had to leave only ate an appetizer. The owners wife is extremely rude and disrespectful to her waitresses. She disrespected a waitress in front of her tables, to the point the lady at the table stated they were thinking of having their daughters wedding there but after this that was not happening. Wow!!! Had dinner at Weingarten Vineyard last night! Simply one of the best Filet Mignon I have ever had! But that was just the the proverbial icing on the cake. The Weingarten is truly a hidden gem. Driving through the secluded woods towards the Weingarten gives one a comforting sense of serenity. Then on turning a corner, this magnificent building appears. Breathtaking! We were able to tour the facility which is as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. The service was impeccable and the staff attentive and gracious. But the food! We started with an iceberg wedge-lettuce salad with the house dressing. Amazing! Dinner was the Filet with twice baked potato and broccoli with the chef's sauce. As mentioned previously, perhaps THE best filet I have ever had. Then for dessert, creme brûlée, which was simply divine. I can't rave enough about this find and my wife and I can't wait to go again!!! read more

This is our favorite place. Easily accessible, great food, sangria for the ladies and cold beer for me. The owners are generous and friendly - just great people. The view off of the back patio is stunning. Great place to watch a thunderstorm roll through. The service Randy and Connie provide to their customers is excellent. Not to mention the best steak around. I highly recommend Weingarten Vineyard for a relaxing experience surrounded by great people. A local's favorite by the way. read more

My wife and I went here for lunch celebrating my 43rd birthday and our 14th wedding anniversary on January 24, 2015. We sat ourselves even though there were very few tables already sat, maybe 4 tables total with 2-4 people at each table. After 20 minutes of not even so much as a "hello we will be right with you", my wife went to a deli area where the 1 and only waitress was standing and visiting with to younger women who were sweeping the floor. My wife very nicely asked if we needed to order our lunch at the counter. The waitress said "Well only if you want to". My wife said ok and before she walked away the waitress said here are 2 menus so that you can look them over. My wife returned to the table and after another 10 minutes of no service what so ever we left. Rude does not do their actions justice but, I will not use the profanity that would do it justice. I admit that the location is beautiful, but I am far from impressed with their customer service. My brother and his wife had their wedding there last fall. It rained and the staff didn't even help move the chairs inside or clean them off. My brother had to do it...on his wedding day. They offered no help at all! Also, there was no place for the bridal party to get ready. I had to change in the bathroom with a million customers coming in and out. Then I went back a couple weeks ago for dinner and they told us that since there was a wedding going on that they weren't serving food. Wtf? Or maybe that's our fault for assuming that a place that advertises as a restaurant would actually be serving food at 5 pm on a Saturday. Oh, and they don't recycle. read more
