First appointment: waited almost 45 minutes to be seen for my cleaning, work was rushed and I didn't get that fresh cleaning feeling. Only met Dr. Lisa for maybe 2 minutes and she didn't even say anything about the cracked crown I knew I had or my needed dental work. I had to tell her about them and ask my questions. Took them almost 6 months to get a preauth from my insurance which was ridiculous but what's even worse? I called multiple times during that 6 months for other dental issues that had come up and NEVER got anyone on the phone and I did leave messages that NEVER got returned. By the time someone called me about my preauth I was so surprised and let them know about all the other work I needed since this is the first person I was able to talk to from their office since my initial appointment. I've been going to "Dr. Lisa for 30 years". I remember when she was a new dentist with a small office in Dormont with just one hygienist. Her practice has grown so much over the years, she has a big staff and a beautiful office with a thriving business now. That's because she is a great dentist, I loved her back then and I love her more now. My husband and kids all go to the office. There was a time we switched to another office briefly because of dental coverage - it was the biggest mistake EVER. We trust her completely and I would pay out of pocket before going somewhere else ever again. Regarding the negative reviews on here,.....I've never had a bad experience with any staff there, but as a business owner myself, I know how hard it is to find good people to work. You hope your people represent you well, but sometimes that isn't always the case. I hope the people who wrote the bad reviews at least shared their experience with the office so they could improve. read more

The first filling I got from her, which is the upper right tooth, she shot Novacaine into my sinus cavity......I said oh, you shot into my sinus cavity, that's ok, you will be fine.....after 2 ER visits and a specialist appointment I am eh. Cost $250.00 Ok, gave her another chance...ok...2nd filling..huge hole, 4surface filling ok another $250.00....office staff is rude...whatever reason did not go back. But filling fell out New dentist.... Alexis cleans teeth flosses she takes rest of broken filling out, NOT HER FAULT WHAT SO EVER!! I LOVE HER!!! I said your SO VERY GENTLE, mainly other people dig and scrape. Did not have time for real filling so, they covered..the dentist said OH, THAT WAS A TEMPARARY FILLING!!!!!.......I said IT WAS NOT A REAL ONE?!?!?! Nope. The cleanings and exams were fine - but when I decided to take my kids to different dentist just to get extra cleanings in between the every 6 months standard ones. I was told that I could NOT come back to their office because I "left the practice"!!....I did NOT LEAVE any practice - I had to get my kids teeth cleaned extra times elsewhere (and I paid out of pocket for that) because I couldn't get them in on time at HER office. I have an autistic child and considering that I couldn't get him one time to his appointment due to his behaviors - they charged me a fee.......I'm NOT paying. read more

Still do not believe it... Went there rather than my usual dentist because was curious about the 3D crown printer. Dr. Weinberg drilled my tooth and was cementing a crown when the novocaine started wearing off and I noticed a rather strong pain. I complained to her about it and she said 'WELL, I DRILLED VERY CLOSE TO THE NERVE, AND YOU MAY NEED A ROOT CANAL DONE' after she put on the crown!!! That was Wednesday. The pain started Friday night, and it was the torture! Everything is closed over the weekend, they did not prescribe a painkiller, OTC painkillers did not work, I did not sleep for 3 nights from sharp pain!!! When I called them on Monday they casually offered me a Saturday appointment for root canal. Why didn't she send me for root canal BEFORE the procedure? The worst dental service in my life! This is my second trip to Lisa for replacement dentures. Her staff does an excellent job of getting the molds done. The dentures fit perfectly from the first day. Some people I have known delay getting a new set of dentures because of poor fit and anticipated discomfort. That has not happened with Lisa and her staff's attention to excellence. read more

They are insane. That was the most bizarre experience. The dental hygienist started her routine and immediately complimented my hair color. She asked if i think she should take her daughter to a salon or if she could color her kids hair herself. Mind you, she stops cleaning every time I need to answer. Then she said, dont make me to it, you're going to make me do it you're going to make me tell you that my husband died in May and I have three children and I have to support them myself so should I get my daughters hair done at a salon or should I do it myself do you feel bad for me? I bet you feel bad now don't you I didn't wanna do it but I had to do it I had to tell you so do you feel bad for me now? The dentist came in looked in my mouth for thirty seconds then i learned about how she met her husband in Aldis parking lot. It was insane. I had to see another dentist to get my teeth cleaned. Then they charged me an extra $10 for PPE of which they didnt use any additional PPE than when it isnt covid. In all fairness - I did not see this dentist but did schedule an appointment and waited 15 minutes for them to open. When I look at Yelp reviews, I usually weed out the outliers (the best and the worst). Unfortunately, there are only two reviews. It was my first time at the office. The office admin (very nice) asked for me to come early (before 9am) to complete paperwork. I arrived at 8:50. I waited. I watched 2 employees walk by me (unlocked the door and re-locked it). They did not acknowledge me. The door I was at had signage (open hours). I decided to leave because of a review where the staff seemed distracted or disinterested in my presence. The office admin (very nice) called me to inform I am missing my appointment. I explained to her that there were too many indications where this was not going to be a good fit and wished her the best of luck. I recommend if you see this dentist you go to the front door (furthest away from the parking lot) for the entrance. Poor recommendation because the staff who walked by me seemed to be distracted which was pointed out in a previous review. read more

Used to love the place. Then my wife got extremely bad customer service too many times and we just had to move on. My wife received very bad teeth whitening service. She was talked down to by the worker and was not happy with the results. She then never received her mouth guard or whitening strips. After 6 months of many phone calls and begging for what she paid for, she finally asked me to call on her behalf. Again - today - woman on phone was really rude with me. At one point telling me "we called her once, what else are we supposed to do?" - one call back in 6 months. My wife had made countless attempts.... no bueno. read more

I had my first appointment with Dr. Weinberg yesterday and I was very pleased with her and her staff. I had to have a crown removed because of some signs of decay under the crown. After an hour and twenty minutes repairs were made and I was the proud owner of a new crown. The crown, which was made on site with the latest technology, fit perfect and looked better than the old crown. The friendly atmosphere made the time go fast . Based on the results of this first time visit I would not hesitate to recommend this dentist. When I moved to the area, Dr. Weinberg was recommended to me by my cousin who had been a client for years. I've had nothing but positive experiences with her and her staff since seeing her two years ago. The team is professional, nice and courteous. I recently had to reschedule an appointment due to a last minute work thing and they were very accommodating. My daughter looks forward to coming to the dentist so that's saying something. I went to this dentist probably close to 10 yrs ago. I'm still receiving statements from them saying I owe them money. 3 times I have called (over these 10 years) to clear this matter up...I provided them with the insurance information I had at that time almost a yr after I went to them...at that time they told me it was all cleared up and the discrepancy was cleared up. Several YEARS later I receive another statement from them for even more then the first one. Tried to call and explain this was cleared up before and they got rude with me. About another Year after that I received another statement (again more money then the previous one), called and explained again and again the office staff was rude with me. I still occasionally get statements from them...I just ignore them. The amount on the statement changes from time to time. read more

I've been to this office a good amount of times. Each time the receptionists give of a vibe of entitlement and it is very uncomfortable. Dr. Weinberg herself is very nice, but I doubt her ability. Every procedure she has done to my teeth has backfired. The third and last issue I have is that i always paid cash at the end of my visits and somehow I have received an invoice for $55. I called and of course the receptionist was sassy and rude so I gave up. Will never go back or refer anyone else read more

My family (husband and 3 young children) have been seeing Dr. Weinberg for a few years. We've never had an issue. She's great with the kids, even my 6 year old who has autism. Scheduling and rescheduling appts is "fine", the wait time is fine, the care is fine. Basically I have had no issues, but I haven't had my socks blown off either. It's the dentist, it is what it is. I do find the dentist to be a bit frazzles, but we've never had an issue. read more

Just moved to the area and needed a dentist after getting my front tooth chipped playing hockey. She did an amazing job at fix my tooth and cleaned up the front teeth while doing it. I was able to get in and have my tooth fixed within a few days of it happening. I've gotten a few fillings as well after my chip was fixed. The doctor is great and so are the staff. By far the worst most unprofessional dentist I have ever experienced her staff is too busy watching soap operas on all the TVs in each room instead of cleaning and she gave me a filling which was too deep which could have been understandable as her son had his pictures delivered from Hawaii and she had to stop 3 times to pay for them and show her whole staff all of them must be nice to have a 14 year old go to Hawaii on her moms dime and have her patience wait to see all of this happen I had to have oral surgery and have the tooth removed because she put the filling in too deep an abscessed tooth was the result I wouldn't recommend her to an ex girlfriend or someone I hate because of the three months of extreme tooth pain I had to deal with because of her lack of care and follow through even after I called and asked them for advice and follow up they simply could care less and did not even offer to reschedule an appointment other than prescribing me vicodin and antibiotics do not recommend and do not go to her license should be pulled!! read more

All I need to say is that my 6 year old could not wait to see Dr. Weinberg and her staff! Not only are they professional and kind, they have made my child have a life time of good oral health care! This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. She is honest and never trys to sell you a bunch a stuff that you dont need. We are very great full that we discovered her. We adjust our vacations to make sure that we stop in to her office in Pennsylvania at least once a year for cleaning and check ups, worth the drive from Florida. read more

I have been a patient at "Dr. Lisa's" for several years, having had 5 other dentists in my lifetime (several of them for long periods of time). She (and her staff) are as good as they get. I have never had a concern about the quality of my care and she was willing to be patient and let me attempt to fill a shallow cavity without using novocaine (I tried). Most dentists are too busy to do this. Her staff is kind and polite and I have never had a billing or payment problem. The office is clean and welcoming, the available hours are great for people doing the Mon-Fri 9-5 grind. If I had a complaint, it would be that some of the hygienists are too chatty (kinda awkward when someone is poking around in your mouth). I have referred some friends to her who like her equally well. My kids went to her before they moved out of the area and they liked her equally well. Some of these reviews puzzle me - but there are always people you can't please. read more
