I needed to get right with my teeth and decide to try Katsur Dental and Orth. I have been there twice. First time - Check-up Second time - Crown (temporary - waiting on my finished crown to come in). Check-in was painless - they ask you the Covid related questions. You complete forms to make sure your insurance is right. First time - it was pretty quick. Took scans, saw the dentist, and I was out of there. Second time - it was not as quick. They were running an hour behind. I understood because I think there was an emergency. They offered to reschedule me if I did not want to wait. I stuck it out and they performed the work. Dr. Cohen was great. He was all business with me but performed work to get my temporary crown in. The assistant gave me all the background information I needed to take care of myself while I wait for my permanent crown. Looks like no taffy or nuts for me! I wanted to give an updated review because this place received some bad reviews 4 years ago. I did consider the other reviews and thought I would give them a try to see if it was the same. If I was not comfortable, I would have not scheduled my work there after my check-up. All and all it was a good experience (as good as a dentist visit could be). Terrible. Can't find words to explain,, go else where,, seem not to know what's they're doing, you sit in the dentist chair and other patients can see you. It like a big old fashioned hospital ward,,, assistants are rude and in a hurry. And they keep you coming back. Had a root canal their, it went bad in less than a year, horrible place. read more

Poor billing practices. They never turned my sons orthodontic coverage into my insurance provider and overbilled me. I even filed they can blind with the better business bureau and they just ignore it and told me to go away pretty much. I'll never go back from either children. I would never recommend this company. Their staff is rude and they overbill. When they sent me documentation of my sons information. They also sent me information for two other people violating HIPAA. read more

This place is disrespecting people time. We have an appointment on February 2 and they did not call but just rescheduled for February, 12 due to the doctor being seek. We got there at 10:40am and they said that appointment was set for 10:30 and they can't take him. We were notified that was set for 10:45am and nothing about 10:30am. They refused to take me and keep talking about 10:30 am appointment and advice to rescheduled. We took off twice from the work and they do not care at all to be more responsible for they mistake. New patient came In 10 minutes early due to paper work, it was 3 pages, return the paper to the front desk at 11:05 and 12:05 still waiting when I asked why I wasn't being called I was told we are busy, I said well I have a job to and it's been over an hour she said well reschedule, I said no I will just leave, What they schedule patients every 5 minutes well of course you are busy. The dr. was good, but the practice was just absolutely horrible. They told me verbally what the cost would be for the procedure that is root canal & the crown, but I was not told that I would have to pay upfront after the service. I was asked to pay under pressure which I did. This is not an acceptable policy, all practices file a claim with insurance & then what is not paid by them the patient has to pay. i was charged without insurance being sent a claim. Additionally, they said that my insurance pays 50% but when I called my insurance, they said that they cover 85%. The practice operates deceitfully which is not in favor of patients especially when the patient has insurance. read more

Any positive reviews of Katsur are from people who went to their other offices. This office in Bridgeville is a nightmare. The front end staff is incompetent and rude, and the dentists are at best hit and miss. Go elsewhere. read more

Abysmal. Dentist who consulted with me did not care to educate me about my condition of my teeth, just that I needed some cavities filled. She advised me to come back for fillings. I thought maybe she was having a bad day so I scheduled the appointment and returned on the appointed day. She injected me with an anesthetic which caused me to have a very strong reaction - pain, fast beating heart, strong emotional reaction. When I asked her what she had used, she refused to tell me and told me what I experienced was normal, then walked out of the room. I decided I would leave right then before she went any further. This individual did not have the heart of a teacher. As someone who wants to know what's happening with my body, she is not the practitioner for me or for anyone else I know. read more

Here's a little back story iv had many problems with my teeth since getting clean so that being said Iv had a couple teeth extracted from Katsur Dental & Orthodontics at the Bridgeville location a couple months back. they all know I'm an addict iv said it multiple times every appointment! iv been there about 4 times since being clean it should be in my file as well that i cannot have narcotics nor under any Circumstance should I be given them to take home that being said I had to get some work done yesterday and they prescribed me narcotics thankfully I have an amazing support system and I called them right away I ripped up the script and threw it away. I very well could have gotten that filled and taken them all and not told anyone. & then by next week I definitely would have been snorting fetanal or probably dead. If your in recovery please don't go to them I'm thankful it happened to me because again I do have an amazing support system and I realize alot of people in recovery do not. That being said I just wanna share my experience and let anyone know who is in recovery this place does not care and do not go! read more

The after hours service is terrible at this location. We had a medical concern after our childs surgery and left multiple messages for the on call doctor to call us back but they never did until the next week. We got a call back from the office the next week to call the doctor directly but when we did he acted like he was the on call service and told us to call another number because he didn't want to deal with the issue of us never getting a response. Great hygienist service today. Parking was a little tight and you have to book about a month and a half in advance for regular services. But it was well worth the wait. I came up here to use my insurance one last time before getting kicked off my parents dental plan for turning 26. The hygienist thoroughly explained the tools she was using and what I should expect sitting in the chair. For example "this will taste like salt water" or "this is going to be slightly uncomfortable". Payment was upfront with the receptionist and she answered my questions about if the bitewing x rays, cleaning, and glossy treatment would be covered as preventative care. She called my insurance to make sure it would be covered before treatment began. Also I'm ye waiting room they have children movies playing. The intake paperwork is about 3 pages long and includes standard questions. read more

Absolutely terrible. Paid $3,000 for braces and expander before they were put in. No one ever told me what was going on, why they were doing certain things, etc. I got my expander in and they put it in incorrectly. I couldn't breathe well, drink or eat at all, so I had to have it emergency removed by them. I did not receive any sort of refund or compensation and I'm never going back there. read more

Today I visited for an ortho consultation. The sign in process was super easy and the women at the front desk were very nice. My insurance was taking forever to answer the phone and they were very apologetic for making me wait. It was no problem at all! I saw Dr. Jeff Lombard, he was great! This place is the absolute worst. DO NOT COME HERE! I went in to get braces to fix a couple problems. It took them three years. The worst part is that when they took them off, I was left with several rotten teeth from the terrible metal they used and the fact that they did not clean my teeth properly. My appointment was at 10 am and I arrived at the office at 9:40 am. I filled out my paperwork within about ten minutes and sat and waited to be called back. People were coming into the office left and right. SEVENTEEN people came into the office after me and were called back before me and left before I even got taken back to see the doctor. I waited in the waiting room area for an hour and thirty minutes before I was called back. On top of all of that, there were about four doctors/assistants standing at the office area talking to office staff and showing things on their cell phone to one another. This was not a good experience at all and I even needed to cancel an appointment I had scheduled two hours after this dentist. When I asked about what time I would be taken back, I was informed that the doctor was 45 minutes behind schedule. (More like an hour and twenty minutes behjndThe secretary was not the friendliest either. My husband (before he passed away) & I have been going to Katsur Dental in Collier Twp. for many years. The office staff has always been friendly & very informative. Sometimes, the wait time was long but an apology was always offered. Any questions that I have had were always answered & in a manner that was completely understandable to me. When I had dental problems, the dentist gave me an understanding about different treatments that could benefit me. Went there today in pain. Have a crack tooth that became infected... I called at 9:30 am and was told to come in at 10:30 and I'd have a 11 am appt. I got there filled out the forms and was told to wait and it would be a while as they were backed up. Only had 1 dentist and 2 people called in sick.. Ok, said I'd wait... Will 3 hrs. later I was finally called in for a 5 minute consultation... If it was that long... the dentist looked at my teeth said that I needed 2 teeth taken out and, yes, I did have an infection. Wrote me a script for an antibiotic, nothing for pain even though I told him I was in pain... He was very nonchalant about the paint and told I needed to see an oral surgeon... He did nothing to help except write a script for the antibiotic and that's it...l I waited 3 hrs. for that... I will never go back there and will be changing my insurance to be able to go to a regular dentist instead of any place like this... Why couldn't he take 3 minutes to do this before I had to sit there for the 3 hrs. I told the person answering the phone when I made the appt. what I needed... They are ripping people off and have incompetent staff that should not be providing dental care. They refuse to give flouride, panamoric xrays, and do not floss for cleanings. This is the worst place I have ever been to, I went to Katsur dental because they accepted my insurance and they were the closest to me and 20 minutes away isn't exactly close either, I had some issues with my top teeth witch resulted in me having to have all of my top teeth extracted and get dentures, I was told that I would be without teeth for 6-8 weeks, it has been almost six months, I got a call today after my denture plate arrived with the wax teeth to make my appointment with the dentist for the fitting, now aside from the fact that I was guaranteed my teeth my Thanksgiving and then before Christmas, they have had my plate at the lab for the last six weeks and they claim they just got out back today, so when I tried to get in asap they claim that the dentist is out of the office for a few days, so when I asked when he would be back they told me they could do December the 23rd at noon, well I didn't ask that, I wanted to know when he would be back and I expressed it, they then told me that he would be back by the 20th so I had to fight for an earlier appointment for the 20th, they are rude and inconsiderate and quite possibly the most incompetent individuals I have ever had the displeasure to have known, I cannot wait until this experience is over. I have never been so depressed in my life. For the record, I give this place negative five stars. read more
