Working with David Lloyd and his team at Weichart was a joy. We were first time home buyers, so we were not well-versed in the finer points of real-estate. We wanted to find an agent who would listen to our goals, help us understand our options, and explain them to us in plain language. We found such an agent in David. Even before we signed on with him, he met with us to discuss the market in Northern Virginia and develop a strategy for finding the best house for us. For the next few weekends, he developed well-organized house hunting trips to show us what was on the market and demonstrate the trade-offs we needed to consider given our budget and goals. David had a good ear for translating our occasionally incoherent feedback into ever more fruitful trips. By the third weekend, we found the perfect home for our needs, and that's when David's talents really came to the fore. Buying a home in Arlington is a competitive process. There were 5 offers on the house we selected, but David helped us structure our offer in an appealing way. He talked us through some strategies to make our offer stand-out, and gave us honest assessments about the benefits and trade-offs of these approaches. Throughout the process, David was in touch with the seller's agent to make sure we stayed on top of their deadlines and requirements. After our offer was accepted, David helped us coordinate with the various actors (lender, appraiser, etc) involved in the process, and was available any time to answer our questions. What's more, he even brought us a bottle of wine at our closing. Our experience with David and his team was outstanding, and we highly recommend him to others. read more

This was the worst real estate/rental experience of my life with JD callander and her team. They are unscrupulous and unethical. 1-We found a property we wanted to rent, contacted the "JD Team" and was able to see it within a few hours. We went to make an offer on the property, and was instructed it required many steps including a cashiers check, etc. We were instructed to do all of this quickly and we complied. Later we were instructed to send over paystubs and additional info, and we also did, quite literally within minutes. 2-When I dropped off my cashiers check, the man there "Roger" did not give me a receipt. Instead he said "don't worry, we have handled much larger checks" Completely uncalled for and rude. 3-We were told we would get an update Tues. We got nothing. We called and left voicemails on Tues, and Thurs, we asked another agent to call to get information for us, and we sent several emails. We got no answer. 4-Finally when we called and got JD herself, she immediately told me we were not chosen for the property. (Uh, you didn't even ask me my name!) and then she went on to say, "Well you didn't have anyone representing you!" (Uh... well I thought the lady from your team was my representation?) We found out later they did not even run our credit check and simply chose the other applicant because they had offered 24 months instead of 12. Had they come back to us we may have considered counter offering. Meanwhile, she gave me a lecture on how they are representing their client and finding the best deal for their client. Utter rubbish. They did not keep us informed, they were insolent and had no regard for our time and time lost waiting for them could have been used to see other properties. But what is most unforgivable is that they knew we had a small child and were trying to make the transition for her quick and easy, and they simply did not care. I would strongly urge consumers not to use this company or JD herself. She is unprofessional, rude and antagonistic. read more

The realtor company asked that I provide a deposit and application fee with my application. No problem. I thought I was going to get the property, but they approved another applicantfor that specificproperty. No problem. I asked when can I pick up my cashiers checks. Now I'm being told there no were ro be found. Can I cancel those checks, yes,, but it will take 10 business days for those cashiers checks to be returned back into my account. The problem is, I have to move out by the 18th, which is in 7 days, so canceling those checks will jam me up. Who loses cashiers checks. I believe they new I wasn't approved when I applied. Just be honest. Not happy with Weichert Realtors, at all. I do want to say the gentleman I worked with have been trying so hard to help track those cashiers checks. read more

Our realtor Melanie A. has gone above and beyond in the process of selling our home. She is organized, always keeps us up to date on the process, fast to respond to our every question and if she doesn't know the answer she will research until she does. Melanie alleviated a lot of stress that we may have had by her professionalism and her excellent attention to the details. We highly recommend Melanie A and Weichart Realty. read more

Avoid this company. Make their customer' lives complicated. Not helpful at all. Very disappointe.

Scott Howanice was extremely rude, short and unhelpful. He showed a lack of professionalism. During mid sentence, he abruptly disconnected the call. Weichert Realtors advertise that their sales associates have integrity and show genuine care for customers; however, I did not experience that. Sales associates like Mr. Howanice can blemish the reputation of Weichart Realtors. read more

Definitely the real estate company Weichert Realtors is not bad, we had a great realtor and we are happy with everything. But, the insurance company Cinch Home Services, which they recommended-just terrible and engaged in fraud. Read carefully the reviews on this insurance company on the Internet and never agree. read more

Bob Eberle from Wiechert Realty was my agent. From the beginning there was poor communication. To find out anything I had to call or email him. When he did respond, it was not immediately or very brief. When I finally had an interested buyer, I waited 1.5 months for their loan approval. I kept my home staged in case there would need to be further showings. Bob made little contact with me during this process, and only when I contacted him. When I was notified that the loan went through I had 6 days to get my furniture moved out. I live in a populated area and that is difficult for anywhere. When I asked if we could push the move out beyond the closing, another week, I was told to "bite the bullet!" I am a senior and live 2 states away. I got no support from the agent who was working for me. At the closing I found that the buyers were not even beginning to move for another week. They were never asked about pushing the move out. Then, when I drove to the bank for the closing (the address I was given by Weichert's attorney representing me.) I waited until it became clear that no one else was there. I then discovered that I was given the wrong bank and had to drive 15 miles to the bank where the closing was taking place. Bob was not there, the attorney had to send a different attorney and I was given a brief apology for the confusion. The buyers real estate agent thought this was very unprofessional. In fact, I have never heard from Bob again. No thank you, no good luck, or apology. I would never use this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more

Be careful with weichert agents. They have a 4 house limit. If you don't buy one of the 4 houses they show you. They dump you.

We made an inquiry about an apartment listed on their site. We received an immediate phone call from Weichert. The property had been listed for awhile. After completely an extensive background check (including providing our bank accounts), Weichert also insisted we complete an NTN, which cost $52/person. Right when we submitted the NTN and paid the fees, the listing disappeared from the site. When we inquired about a second apartment listed on their site, the realtor, Tameka, said the owner couldn't make up her mind. We make more than enough, my credit score is excellent, and we have excellent references. While I understand it's a competitive rental market, the least we can get is an answer. It's been over two weeks and after getting nothing from Tameka, we've gone with our backup option. However, that second apartment is still listed on their site. I assume Weichert simply lists rentals and collects money without removing listings. Don't trust the site, their listings, nor the company. I will never work with this company ever again nor refer them to anyone. read more

I recently bought my first home in Arlington and could not have picked a better agent than Joel Mack at Weichert Realtors. There is so much to consider when buying a home, and Arlington is a tough place to be a buyer. It's basically a chess match that most don't know how to play or understand: where to start, what areas you can actually afford, thinking 5 years ahead about space and logistical needs. If you're like me, when you do find the area and community you want to buy in, then how do you know how to be competitive enough for the owners to pick your offer? Well, I will tell you how - Joel Mack! He had a great understanding of the Arlington marketplace but most importantly, he listened and understood what I was looking for in a home. We all have dream homes, but when you see how much that dream home costs, you have some tough decisions to make. Joel has a realistic approach and wants to make sure you are getting the most you can get in a home for as much as you are comfortable paying. His experience in property management gives invaluable insight into how a home's infrastructure functions. His main objective was to find me a place that met all my requirements and was easy to manage as a single woman. I feel like he took the emotional rollercoaster ride with me and I had a real champion in my corner who rooted for me and set me up to be successful! I think it's important to trust your real estate agent and to make sure you're a team; I would have Joel on my team any day. read more

JD might be the worst realtor I've ever dealt with. Unpleasant is an understatement and she's as responsive as glue. Run, run, run as fast as you can from dealing with her - everyone I've talked to says the same thing - it's a nightmare! read more

Hugo Quinonez is a Weichert realtor, he was very responsive, knowledgeable, honest and personable. He gave me suggestions and helped me every step of the way in selling my condo. I was able to sell my condo in 5 days with good price for my investment. I feel very comfortable to work with him, and I found him always went extra steps for the customers. I decided to invest and buy another condo. Again, he found me an ideal condo with amazing price, I was able to purchase the place in 3 days that had many other offers. It's great that within a short month, I sold and brought condos successfully and made good profits. I am very appreciative and I put my trust in his hands. I am looking forward to do business with him in a very near future. read more

Do you like paying rent for things that are broken? Calling incompetent people daily? Being ripped off and mislead? If so, you should rent through Weichert. My boyfriend and I recently moved to a town home in Arlington managed by Weichert. Upon doing our walk through, we realized that the stove and oven did not light. When we reported it to Weichert, we were told that it would be a quick fix and in the meantime to light the stove ourselves with a lighter. Not only is this inconvenient, it is DANGEROUS. Gas can blow up in your face. 20 days later and counting, we still don't have a working stove or oven. I have no idea when this situation will be resolved. This is the worst rental company I've ever dealt with. read more

Terrible experience with JD Callendar. If your house sells in a week, I'm sure she seems fine, but if you actually need her to give you good advice, accurately assess your house and market you correctly...well, good luck. Her team, while pleasant and good natured, had to be prompted to address issues and did not manage showings well. We had to call her to re-assess our listing, it was NEVER the other way around. She's late to every appointment and botches important paperwork. Advised us to agree to every demand the buyers made and got us into a terrible offer with endless contingencies. She just wanted a sale- could not have cared less if we walked with the best price. read more

I am blown away by Weichert property managements incompetence. It has taken them months to fix something very simple. They are horrible at returning phone calls, horrible at showing up in the time frame they provide, and seriously lack communication within their own company! read more

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT USE JD CALLANDER OF WEICHERT REALTORS! Would give NEGATIVE stars if I could! Represents the worst moral and ethical standards of the real-estate industry. I'm a military member moving my family and all of our belongings across the country. We SIGNED a contract that included preoccupancy, which was critical for my family as we considered homes to buy. JD developed new and impossible holes for us to jump through at the last minute, AFTER ALL CONTINGENCIES WERE REMOVED AND UNDERWRITING WAS COMPLETE. This left my working wife and 2.5 year old son scrambling to find a place to stay, and us trying to figure out where to store our belongings for roughly 5 days before the house closed. There are other plain unethical and dishonest practices that she demonstrated throughout the process that were disappointing and plain disgusting to see, which left me confused that someone could do that to another person, and military family, and be able to sleep at night. In my mind, she represents the worst character and morality of anyone I have worked with before. IF YOU SUPPORT THAT KIND OF BEHAVIOR THAN USE HER, BUT IF NOT YOU SHOULD FIND ANOTHER REALTOR IMMEDIATELY! read more

If 0 stars were possible, I would give 0. No sense of urgency, poor communication, agent made significant mistakes that could ruin a deal.

After renting 2846 S Meade st Arlington VA 22206 from a landlord represented by this company, my husband, a United States Army Soldier, received orders to move. While we did not want to move, under the law we had to and they had to release us from our lease. We gave them notice every step of the way and they refused to respond in writing. we turned in our keys and moved. After we moved Weichert Realtors and the landlord they represented are trying to bully us with lawyers from afar to pay rent we do not owe them, rent for a month after we had moved out returned the keys and after the orders had has be half way across the country. If you support the military or soldiers please at all cost AVOID DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH WEICHERT REALTORS. They try to bully and scam military after they move knowing fighting them will be difficult. Their actions are unconscionable and we hope you will find work with people who do not try to scam money from soldiers. read more

I had a wonderfully positive experience with my first time homebuying experience on account of the David Lloyd Team at Weichert Realtors in Arlington, VA. There was constant communication and availability of David G., in house and Suzanne and David L. at properties. They were willing to show me many properties in many areas in my price range. They opened the doors to many areas/buildings I never imagined. We had a lot of fun along the way and they made me feel comfortable and that they were interested in providing for my needs and interests. They were never pushy, always responsive. It was easy for financing and settlement because they work regularly with a group of people in these departments. They were knowledgeable about this area and were great drivers of this home buying ride! I would highly suggest buying or selling your home with the David Lloyd Team! My experience was very good! read more

My wife and I bought a home with Dave Lloyd and his team in North Arlington in early September. We spent a lot of time this summer going to open houses in the north Arlington area on our own. We met David Lloyd at one of these open houses and he seemed friendly, totally laid back/non-pushy, and most importantly, had an encyclopedic knowledge of real estate in the area. Our experience with Dave and his partner Suzy was great -- they patiently showed us a huge number of houses in the area, and when it came time to negotiate they were very helpful, trying to get us the best deal without any pressure to get the deal done. They have also been extremely supportive since we moved in -- since this is our first home and we were new to the area, they gave great recommendations for various home contractors (lawn, fencing, locksmiths, etc) that have all worked out really well. Would highly recommend Dave Lloyd and his team. read more

We could not be happier with the experience we had with David Lloyd and Suzanne throughout the sale of our home! First and foremost, their communication was SUPERB!! Communication may be my most sought-after attribute when selecting a realtor, and Dave and Suzanne did not disappoint. They are agile and quick to turn anything around. For example, the buyers of our home made several requests throughout the process, requiring David and Suzanne to quickly create legally-binding documents. Dave and Suzanne created the documents and sent them via DocuSign the same day. Their recommendations for home upgrades were pragmatic and spot on. They have fantastic connections with contractors (with great rates) for a full-service experience. Finally, the most important metric is results. I am happy to say that our home sold one day after the first open house for above asking price! Thanks for everything, David and Suzanne!! read more
