This clinic has a 5 star rating on Vitals.com and WebMD, etc. Some people drive here from McMinnville. Yes they are just that good. The staff has trained and practiced Acupunture here and in China, so tons of clinical experience. The office is a renovated old schoolhouse, which is beautiful and serene. Other patients rave about their health improvements in the clinic waiting room. They have another clinic in Portland open Friday afternoon and Saturdays. All appointments are booked through the Salem office.

I have had plantar fasciitis since the spring and decided to try acupuncture to see if that would…read morehelp. I had previously been to a podiatrist and, of course, I got the inserts for approximately $500 more than my insurance would cover. I called, and they said it would probably be six months before I could get in. I said no problem. They called back the next day with a cancellation, and I was able to get in on that Friday. I met with Benson, a very nice and caring person, and explained how the procedure would go. I went once a week for six weeks. Then I had to travel, so I was away also; I had used up what insurance would cover. He made some good suggestions which I implemented, but probably the best thing I did was the week-long vacation that I stayed off it. It still bothers me from time to time, but I have ways of making it work. The place they have their services in is a one-hundred-year-old building, which is charming but has uneven floors if that is a concern of yours. Also, I tried to never use the restroom facilities there, as the sink was lined with dirt and the toilet wasn't much better. They have a lot of people still masking (which is fine; I totally understand that), but they apparently aren't concerned with the dirt you can see. One oddity I observed was that the needles were put in my hand, but as I was lying on the table, Benson would use my stomach as a place to hold his supplies until he needed them. Do you know how awkward it is to have someone grab things off of your stomach to use in a procedure? I probably should have said something, but I thought it was a one-off until it happened again. So, the procedures themselves were good but probably need to fine-tune a few things.

I've been seeing Bryce for about a year, and I can't say enough good things about the treatment he…read moreprovides. The office is very cozy, and there is a true holistic approach taken where Bryce takes the time to get to know you, your body, your goals, and the level of treatment you're comfortable with to achieve those goals. I suffered a severe injury to my left hand (my dominant hand) in 2018 that involved a double tendon repair and months of Occupational Therapy. I was still left with fairly constant pain, even though my recovery was one of the best my hand surgeon had seen. There were adhesions in the scar that eventually caused the constant pain to spread up my arm and into my left shoulder. After seeing Bryce, I feel like I have my life back. The pain was chronic and there was just nothing that helped before seeing Bryce. I'd truly lost hope I'd ever have a day where I didn't ache. We've been working on loosening the scar adhesions, and it is like night and day after two appointments focused on that. I highly encourage you to check out Stone Guardian if you're experiencing chronic pain. My hand is almost back to full functionality, and I literally never thought that would be possible.

I had been struggling with chronic pain issues for years, and was searching for anything that wasn't just medication and hope. Bryce exceeded every expectation I had, and indeed most of my hopes, in how he handled my treatment. Not only did Bryce manage to do what no doctor had been able to do- get the muscle spasms in my back/neck to stop, and do it without any medications- he got my migraines down to once a month or less from multiple times per week. Which is awesome. But he also did something that I haven't experienced at a medical appointment in years if not decades- he managed to create a space where I wasn't anxious. I'm normally super anxious anytime I have to go into a medical office for anything- raises my blood pressure like 20-30% anxious. And I never had that issue in his office. I can't recommend him enough.

Most of my original issues stemmed from issues with customer service. Since then, they have hired a young lady as a receptionist. She was cheerful and pleasant. The waiting room was comfortable, and the several staff members I met were all friendly. The owner was quick to respond to my reviews. I have a lot of respect for that. You can tell a lot about a business by the way they address their mistakes. Lilac Wellness and Counseling offers a wide variety of services. I went in for cupping, acupuncture and a massage. I was cramming a lot into a session, so the services were understandably abbreviated. With that said though, the room was comfortable, the music was soothing, and Xun was did a fantastic job. I definitely scheduled a second appointment while I was there.

After the session I had immediate results and after 6 sessions I no longer had the problem. I then went to see her because my daughter brought home coxsackie virus from pre-school. My daughter and husband both went to a conventional doctor and the anti-viral did almost nothing to remedy the situation. It still took two weeks to run its course and resolve. When I broke out in it, I went to Echo. Echo hooked me up with some Chinese herbs and a mineral mouth rinse and my problem was gone in two days. The third time I went to see Echo, I was having fertility issues. I am not saying she cure my problems, but after two years of "trying" and being told by the OB that we needed IVF and hormone therapy, we conceived after six months of Chinese herbs and reducing coffee intake. We don't know what did it, but Echo's advice did not hurt the situation and may be responsible for our ability to conceive.

Therapists are stretched to the max, but we still need to prioritize our health. So what are the alternatives? For me, it's acupuncture and cupping. This traditional Chinese medicine explains that one's health is the result of a harmonious balance of the "yin" and "yang" of the life force known as "qi," pronounced "chi." Illness is said to be the result of an imbalance. Qi flows through meridians in the human body, accessible by 350 acupuncture points. I can think of no better way to treat my body than to become a human pin cushion! It may sound intense if you've never tried it, but you actually barely feel anything because the needles are so thin. Acupuncture is used to treat anxiety, migraines, pain, digestive and sleep disorders, infertility, depression, and addiction, just to name a few things. Cupping works similarly to balance the qi by increasing blood circulation, relieve muscle tension, improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. Earth Moon also offers massage therapy (including pre-natal) and herbal supplements to aid in your overall wellness. They're located a stone's throw from the state hospital, off Center Street with easy interstate access. The vibe is calm with a tranquil asian inspired aesthetic. Most insurance is accepted.
