The financial staff was rude and not communicable. They asked me to pay $300 for x-ray by credit card upfront, saying it was not covered by my insurance. I saw Dr Guo for Botox injection in to my Masseter muscle for extreme jaw clenching. I drove all the way from Bellevue to Northgate office only to find that the Botox wasn't there. Had to reschedule for almost 2 weeks out. I asked him for less Botox because I was worried about the side effects. He said no, he had to use the whole vile (100 units) He couldn't waste any. I am left almost totally unable to chew solid food. I'm on smoothies & soft food. I called to ask him & he said this is normal. This was never explained to me. I should not have been given the entire 100 units. I now how to wait months for it to wear off. read more

I was referred to Dr. Guo by my dentist for wisdom teeth removal. Prior to my first visit, I was nervous having heard about people who had bad experiences with their wisdom teeth removal. However, I must say that my experience with Dr. Guo was very smooth and painless from the beginning to the end. The staff were very patient in explaining everything to me including how much fees my insurance covered and what the procedure looked like in details. Dr. Guo's friendliness also made the entire process very relaxing. The actual surgery itself was quick (because you are put to sleep) and painless, as well as the recovery. This office scared me. Guo was referred after an exam with an endodontist who said that a root canal was not enough for my situation . I would need an extraction, a bone graft and sinus lift to fix my problem. Went into my appt with Guo, he was unable to load my ct scan on his machine in the examining room so he turned to look in my mouth and he said, "Yes, we will have to remove the tooth." I asked, "Anything else?" He said, "No, once we get the tooth out then we will evaluate." I asked him a couple other questions to which he gave some kind of "confuscian type wiseman answer". I said ok. The nurse said please see their receptionist on the way out. I did and she was ready to make an appt but I said, "Not at this time". She claimed that I needed to because Guo is at more than one office. She was a bit pushy so I made the appt realizing I would cancel it when I got home. So, that is what I did. I canceled the appt. Two days before the appt the Guo office called to remind me of the appt. I said it was canceled. The day of the appt they called again and said they were waiting for me and asked if I was on my way. I said no, the appt was canceled twice now. So, I get a bill for the exam 7 months later. I called and asked how can you bill me for this when the doctor never saw a scan or took his own scan to see what was going on in my mouth. He only looked in my mouth - my problems can not be seen by the naked eye and the tooth was perfectly healthy as far as he could see. They said that they could bill because he simply looked in my mouth. I told them that if I pay this bill then I will be sure to write a review of my experience. I visited a reputable oral surgery office in Federal Way shortly after and it was a completely different and patient centered experience. They were able to view my ct scan that I provided and they took one of their own. I have since had the work done and am completely happy with the complete experience. I was referred to an oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth pulled after I had some pain and swelling in my gum around the area where my bottom wisdom teeth were coming in but barely showing. I knew I had to take care of this before another week went by so I called and spoke to someone who asked me about insurance, my schedule and how'd fast what location and before I know it I was connected with someone at this office. I was scheduled and set for my surgery. I was called the same day and told what I would expect to pay on my visit and to prepare to have a driver. When I got there I quickly had xrays the consultation with instructions of what to do after surgery and then followed up with the surgery. The surgery was fast and I fully understood what I had to do until my follow up. I didn't feel pain or fear and recovered with in the week. I don't know why I was so scared, I recommend this office for covering the details before you show up and further more before the surgery, I was worried about what I would hear during surgery and they were able to play good music for me to distract myself. read more

I am baffled by the comments in the negative reviews for Dr Guo and his staff. I have seen Dr Guo multiple times over the last 5 years. I all situations they have all been kind, compassionate and responsive to my needs. there have been a couple of communication issues (one on billing, one on rescheduling of an appointment), but have always been resolved. Dr. Guo has always given time to listen to my concerns for both wife and me (both extractions and implants), and address any further concerns we might have; even to the point of not recommending my wife have upper implant because of concerns with her sinus cavities and remodeling upper jaw. Called to cancel an appointment and was told would be accessed a $50 fee if not cancelled within 3 business days. I don't recall being told that. Perhaps they should send an email stating all the things they tell you over the phone. Perhaps it's a way to rack up some money. Anyhow, I stated I was never told about a fee as my son gets stomach aches often and sometimes have to cancel appointments so I usually make note of things like cancellation fees. If I was really told or not the receptionist was very rude so I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told she wasn't in today and I asked when she would be in and was hung up on. I called back to ask and to also find out the name of the person I was speaking to which she was afraid to tell me and proceeded to tell me I was arguing with her when I said she didn't have to be rude. To represent a company in this way is poor service. I hope the actual service it not as poor as the customer service. We won't be finding out so good luck. read more

Dr. Christie preformed a 4 wisdom tooth extraction on my wife recently even though we were scheduled with Dr. Wei. He was very patient pre-surgery explaining the procedure and reassuring us of his experience. The staff was very knowledgeable about DHS insurance which can be difficult (impossible for Comfort Dental to comprehend). They were able to give us the sedation options with ease. I chose to spend an extra $200 to put my wife to sleep. (Mostly because of my anxiety) and of course for her comfort. It's been a week and all is well. FIVE STARS! read more

I took both my boys (ages 16 and 20) to Dr Guo for their wisdom teeth removal. Great communication and such a warm, friendly vibe in the office. Dr Guo was funny, friendly and both of my boys really felt at ease (as myself) once meeting with him. They both had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. After the surgery both of my boys had completely different reactions and I didn't realize what I was in for doing them both at the same time. One was super chatting and hysterical while the other was asleep for some time. Once he woke up he wasn't very comfortable and scared and the office staff was attentive to every phone call and question I had. From pain levels and medications to suggestions on what foods to eat. 2 days later and they are still answering my questions to put this mommas heart at ease. Both boys are doing excellent and have nothing but great things to say about this experience. I highly recommend this Dr and office. I am only giving this office one star because it's the lowest I can go. I recently came in for wisdom teeth removal. I was surprised by the abruptness of the way things were going, so I decided to ask more. The surgeon stated he wanted to do the surgery right then and there. I simply asked if wisdom teeth removal is always necessary. He replied with a very brief explanation and asked me if that was an adequate response. I was still unsure, and asked further. At this point, I could tell the doctor was growing impatient. He decided to tell me I lacked the four year education to question him. I personally believe that if a doctor will preform a procedure on me, I should have the right to fully understand why and how it will be done. Apparently, he had other beliefs. I asked if I could call a close family member to consult with, and he replied no. I finally decided I would go home and do more research first. The doctor decided to tell me I was a "courtesy case" and he probably would not have time for me again. He then proceeded to tell me "You can leave now" several times as I tried to explain my confusion and need for further information. I would suggest considering another oral surgeon if you expect common courtesy and respect from others. I have never had problems with my previous caretakers and hope I do not have another encounter like this. read more

In person, I came into the office 6 mos ago, with referral in hand, and scheduled to have all 4 wisdom teeth extracted for my daughter. Today, we showed up for the appointment and the doors are locked. Not only that, the receptionist Melissa, was sitting there munching on her salad completely ignoring me. I called the office number and she responds by saying the doctor left town early and they "tried" calling me to let me know but the number on file was not good. I asked when they attempted to call and what number they tried calling and she replied stating "we deleted the number unfortunately", mind you that they had the referral which I personally delivered with correct number. She would not open the door to speak with me personally!!!! My daughter was devastated and had not eaten for 7hours, anxious to have it all behind.
