I saw Dr Jerry Rittenhouse, who seems to be an excellent choice. He was a wonderful listener who immediately had suggestions on how to help my condition with follow-up testing and medication options. THE DEAL: in these trying times of Covid, I feel better knowing such a lovely hospital is so nearby.

Visiting from California for 2 weddings & to visit sick mother. Husband started having SOB,…read morefatigue, wheezing, edema (swelling) & was brought into cardiac room & hooked-up to heart monitor within 2 mins of entering ER. Nurse came in & explained probable course next Dr visited & ordered BLOODRAW, EKG, chest xray, nebulizer treatments & IV BP medication & by mouth diuertic pill. Once stable & 2 negative blood tests for cardiac enzymes were negative which ruled out heart attach--we were thankfully released with prescriptions called into CVS, xray on CD & all test results in timely manner as they all knew we had to get home to rest before wedding. Entire staff from front desk, nurses, doctor were professional & efficient & thorough while remaining pleasant which kept us @ ease during very scary time (57 yo-1st time feeling this way). They are now part of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Alliance so they can provide additional services that they once could not. My parents still come here when they have too. They are not big on Doctors, but will come when forced. Have have an ER, urgent care, and clinic. They also have an Long term care skilled rehab center on site as well an professional building that house many specialists. I spent the night here once when I was five years old or so. I swallowed a penny (I was very orally fixated) and it got stuck in my throat. I had to have surgery and then I pooped it out about 2 weeks later. Nice!

Both times they took away the pain (without heavy duty pain killers) quickly. And I didn't have to wait for hours in the waiting room like I would have at that other hospital in Lebanon.
