I love this specialty grocery store. They have the best selection of wines that I've ever seen. I…read morelove their fresh seafood a lot....it is the only store I get my seafood from. From crab legs to wild caught shrimp to stuffed salmon. It's all good here! I also love their bakery selection. They even have sugar free baked goods for diabetics. They have it shipped in twice a week from a special supplier. The cupcakes are my fave! The only reason why I did not give them 5 stars (even though I want to) is because they are VERY pricey. But please know that they do have good sales! Their marked down areas are my fave. Like a huge bag of potatoes for only $2....or a ton of lemons for $1. Things like that! A few bits on the ground in some food aisles because people are lazy and then the associates walk past it. Men's room was in good shape. Stocked with paper towels and clean. This Walmart seems to tolerate overnight parking. I was in my Sprinter RV and after picking up snacks and such, I returned to the van, locked up and had a mostly quiet night. My wife bought 1 carton of eggs but the receipt showed two. No book of stamps at all were purchased. My wife checked the receipt, as she customarily does before leaving the store, and discovered the "errors". The eggs I can understand but, the book of stamps?? In any event, she immediately visited the customer service desk looking for a refund. Instead of being apologetic, the employee admitted the absence of a book of stamps but insisted that there were no other errors. My wife had to go through the cart item by item and the receipt line by line to prove that she did not have two cartons of eggs. Again, examine your receipts carefully, especially if your older. If you do see an error like this, you might want to report it to the manager. And report it here too so we can all be reminded to be careful.

The first time they did not know what to do, the second time they amazed me. I'm also in school to become a service dog training instructor. Because I'm a student trainer and experienced hander I always have the ADA laws that pertain to us on hand and ready to educate on the rights and responsibilities of the service dog team and the establishment. A real service dog is as well-behaved as a good human nurse as they care for their disabled person. The offending dog was an untrained heathen and a problem, not a trained professional. Even if it were a real service dog, when it violated the rights of Foodlion and its customers it lost its public access rights and it became the store's right and responsibility to have it removed. In addition, Assaulting a service dog in North Carolina is a felony under § 14‑163.1. It's also a federal crime to falsely impersonate one. After the first incident, the employees were willing to be educated and I was willing to do so with the official laws and government contact information. This week I had another run-in, same dog, same store, like last time some employees saw and others heard the the dog go for mine as she was tending to me. The clever criminals nearly slipped out again with their fake service dog; However, the store manager caught them in the parking lot and warned them not to return with their aggressive dog. The store manager and employees' willingness to learn and apply the laws for the safety and well-being of their customers was beyond impressive. Their food is always good and easy to find, and the ambiance is enjoyable. If I could give a thousand stars I would.

Lowe's Foods are pretty high so they really need to deliver on the quality and experience or why bother. Of significant concern these days is their total disregard for the Coronavirus much less the Governor's Executive Order requiring masks. During my recent visit, very few customers were wearing masks. Proper mask wearing by the staff wash it and miss. I have friends who get heckled when they go in. The disregard for customer health and safety as well as disregard for law is unacceptable. I will not frequent such a poor community citizen. Beware!
