He not only diagnosed it correctly, he worked with Toyota to get an OEM computer. He installed it and did a full transmission service - all at a great price I got the car back and its as good as new! I called and spoke with Ron right before closing time. He took the time to listen to everything I was experiencing, explained what he thought the issue could be, and told me to bring the van in the next morning. Their shop opens at 8:00 AM, but when I arrived around 7:45 AM, they were already there working on vehicles. When I walked in, Ron remembered our conversation from the previous day, which immediately made me feel comfortable. He scanned my van but didn't notice anything unusual. He reset my ECM and another setting, and thankfully that solved the problem. First, I was told there were no detectable issues. Later, I was told the transmission needed to be replaced. I was also repeatedly told that the repair I suspected would not fix the problem. Even so, I asked them to provide a quote for that repair since a transmission replacement was not financially practical. I was told they would call me with a quote and credit one hour of labor, but I never received a call. After nearly a month of poor communication and an unrepaired vehicle, I decided to purchase the part and perform the repair myself. More than 100 miles later, the vehicle is operating normally. The repair that I was repeatedly told would not solve the issue ended up resolving it completely. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and am out $332 with no resolution provided by the shop.
