The route goes through Jersey City, Hoboken, West New York, North Bergen, Edgewater, and Fort Lee. This is a scenic walk that offers stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. There are many access points throughout the walkway. Some of them are the Edgewater Commons Shopping Center, Port Imperial (Weehawken), River Street (Hoboken), and Liberty State Park (Jersey City). It's pedestrian and bike friendly, so all runners, walkers, and bikers are welcome. The best views are at Pier A (Hoboken), Exchange Place (JC), and Liberty State Park (JC). You'll be able to see Midtown Manhattan, the Financial District, the World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. Other than taking in the beautiful views of the skyline, there are plenty of other activities and attractions. Here are some notable ones: *Parks - Liberty State Park, Veteran's Field Park, James Braddock Park *Dining - All of the waterfront neighborhoods have a vibrant food scene, so don't hesitate to stop and dine in at any of the restaurants or bars. *Kayak launch sites - Urban Paddle, Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse *Shopping - Newport Centre in Jersey City *Memorials and Statues - 9/11 Memorial, Korean War Veteran Memorial, Water's Soul, Colgate Clock *Access to mass transit - Hoboken Station, Edgewater Ferry, Liberty Island Ferry Terminal I've been living in this area for nearly three decades and I'll never get tired of it. If you want to enjoy city views, but don't want to deal with the horrific bridge/tunnel traffic, tolls, and the crowds.... this is the right destination for you.
