    Trugreen, lesson learned for prepaying for lawn and mosquitos service . I'm only into my second…read morescheduled time lawn service from Trugreen and it has be rescheduled 3 times, first was suppose to be on 5/5/25, then 5/9/25 and now it is 5/14/25, with no communication. they just don't show up. i called customer service to see what is going on, and they have no answer. i actually had to go to Lowes home improvement to buy fertilizer and weed control. so with the money i saved from prepaying, i used it at Lowes to buy fertilizer/weed control, LOL. So with that said on their service for lawncare, lets move on to mosquitos control. i should have used the company from last year. I believe Trugreen dilutes it way to much to keep the mosquitos at bay for a month, heck i would be happy if it last half way through. I believe i am going to ask for a refund and go else where. i even called and texted the guy that said," call me anytime for problems", guess what, he don't answer nor reply to text. I'm no rocket scientist but i can figure out when i been scammed into believing a bigger company will do a better job, NOT SO. j core

Overall, I was very happy with each technician that came out to the house for the yard treatments, each technician was professional, courteous and thorough in performing the required applications. Those guys consistently get 5 stars. I cancelled my service as a result of the Sales Rep (Michael K) trying to falsely upsell us for treatments that were not needed or called out by the technicians. I expect companies to promote additional products, but not lying to me about a "necessary" treatment that he falsely claimed was an identified problem. First time- After a treatment about two months ago, he called (left message) me two days later citing the technician noted aphids on bushes out front. When I replied that the technician only noted (and recorded on his treatment sheet) that I had moles in the side yard. I said there must be a mistake as I also spoke to the technician whom never brought up the aphid issue, maybe you have the wrong address. The sales rep confirmed he had the right address and the aphid issue is correct as the technician would have had to enter the issue in a sperate system, therefore I have an aphid issue. Now suspicious of who this person realy is, and after a check of the bushes up front (no aphids) before I had called him back, I asked if he had my contact info, he did. I asked him to send the technicians documents to me before I consider another treatment. I'd like to see this separate technician document. The documents were never received. I wrote this off as a scammer I spent too much time talking to. A notification (call) was made to the Wilmington office. I moved on. Second time - On Saturday (July 19), My wife notes a car parking at the end of the driveway, male driver sits inside for about 7 minutes then walks up and rings the front door. As my wife went to the backyard to have me address the stranger at the door, he left. He left us a "TruGreen Tree and Shrub Care" yellow sheet in the door noting that we now had cankerworms and fungus (yard, bushes, who knows?). This determination was done without looking at anything in our yard as the house cams showed him only walking up the drive to the door. The sheet was filled out prior to getting out of the car. I immediately called Michael, whose name and phone number was on the sheet, to ask about the problems while we noted he didn't look at anything (other than his feet) as he walked up the driveway. I told him that due to these apparent deceitful attempts to upsell treatments, I've cancelled the Trugreen services. Michael did not even try to convince me of any legitimacy in his "work". Calling TruGreen Customer Service to cancel out the annual service was efficient; I'd give them 5 stars. Michael K, be careful if he contacts you.

Left my lawn looking better than when they started. Offered to use roundup, over 2 gallons worth without charging me for it. The other staff members are also very friendly. TLDR Version: WARNING! Owner Takes payment upfront so be warned, I'd suggest putting everything in writing with this company. Did not stick to word. WHY I DO NOT RECOMMEND: I called the company to explicitly help with a lot of weeds and leaves. Was told over the phone 55 for my property. They were a no show to the first appointment on a Friday. Waited an hour and no one contacted me. I called eventually because no one emailed, texted, or called me after waiting an hour past the appt. Owner tells me I'd been pushed back to Sunday. No problem, i understand the rain probably backed them up. Sunday comes and I get no contact until they roll up at on 6 PM Sunday. Again no phone call letting me know they were on the way - I just so happened to spot them driving away on my way to dinner. I deliberated cancelling earlier but thought it would be worth keeping the service based off the great price. I live downtown, and owner calls me over because his truck is too large for alley way, and has to park on street. First statement he says to me is he will do it this "one time" not going to have his boys cross a busy street with lawnmowers. I told him not necessary since I really just want help with backyard, there's no grass, just a lot of leaves and weeds. He offers roundup to help with massive weeds at no charge. no other discussion regarding financial changes of service are ever discussed again until after service was completed... --- Finishes front yard, which looked good to be honest. Does not finish backyard, but emails me while I'm gone to say tomorrow, (Monday) they would finish. Monday comes, and again they are a no show with no call, no text. Tuesday comes, I get an email early morning explaining the absence the day before and said they would come Tuesday ASAP. Again on Tuesday! No show again, no communications from them for the rest of the day. I inquire on Tuesday about the no show and I get nothing, no contact until Wednesday explaining their delay via email! Mind you, the reasoning is one of the employees was sick which may be valid, but don't think it excuses not reaching out in a timely manner. Wednesday comes and the service is completed. Everything looks good. I'm home but instead of letting me know when they are done, or the summary of the charges face to face, the owner leaves in silence and sends me an invoice charging 5X the amount stated. I was charged for the roundup and the charge was only removed after I called to state, he offered and said he wouldn't charge. Told me that while basic weed eating with wire is included, having to pull weeds manually is not. I understand how that could be more labor intensive, but I didnt ask him to pull manually, I have him on camera recommending that to me! I was not told of the upcharge or distinctions in weed service in advance. I hate to leave a negative review of a local small business as I prefer to highlight those doing things well, but lots of excuses, many missed commitments, and untimely responses are all reasons I suggest seeking Lawn Service elsewhere and want others to know my experience.
