This business is a total scam. They showed only for 5 mins and did not apply any in my backyard on 8/10. I was timing them from my office because I work from home. Now it's full of weeds. If you wanna get weeds for your yard, this company will do it for you, as low as $97. I know 1 application will not flip the yard dramatically but my point was you guys didn't the job at all. We had a very rocky start with this company!!!! At first I would have given them 1 star and that would have been generous at best!!! Short version... Took us a 6 weeks to get service and when they did all they did was fertilize my yard which made the weeds grow like gangbusters!!!! Finally had enough and sent an email to the account rep saying I am over this and please just refund my money (I had pre paid to receive a 10% discount). The rep who was seriously over his head with me sent forwarded my email to Nathan (branch manager- who was actually useful and knew his stuff) and replied to me saying "I am sorry we must be too big of a company for you and it would be best to find a smaller company to fit your needs. This comment was a result of me asking to have service on a particular day or more than a one day notice they are coming. Mainly because like most of America we work and are not home to allow access to the full property and make sure dogs are put up. His response was what he wrote me above?!?!?! Once I got into the branch managers hands - Nathan things began to turn around. They missed the first appointment but he took the initiative come out to my property himself to understand what had been happening to our yard once they took it over. Nathan quickly took control of the situation and setup a schedule that allowed us to plan for their visits and actually apply the proper chemicals to the yard. Once Nathan took control our yard has improved by leaps and bounds and we are extremely satisfied with our service now. If it wasn't for Nathan we would have left about a month ago. Thank you for actually hiring a competent and professional branch manager that actually cares about his job. I just wish weedman had sense enough to hire more individuals like Nathan. read more

If I could give 0 stars but Its not possible. we signed up with them and paid for the whole season, and had only two application's and when they came out for the 3rd ap, said they needed to remeasure our yard and charge us more bc they did not measure the yard correctly the first Time. They did the same to all of our neighbors as well and refused to treat our yard and would not give us a refund. They will quote you low to get the service, this is really bad for business. If I could leave a no star review I would. This crew is the most inapt incompetent and worthless I have ever dealt with. No call , no shows is a mainstay with these people. I have never been given so many different excuses while they couldn't perform their job they have Covid they have personnel problems they have supervisor problems one excuse after another and six months later I have more weeds in my yard and when I started. I recently had a follow up call to check on my service and if I was a satisfied customer. I spoke with Deanna Freeman who was amazing. She was knowledgeable about my grass type and we discussed several tips on how to keep my lawn green and healthy. She also talked about other services and was able to give me a discount to help my lawn be even more healthier. I wouldn't consider myself a lawn nerd but I do have a little competition going on with my neighbors to have the best looking lawn. This is our yard that Weed Man has been treating. You are seeing it right...it's all dirt. We moved into this house Oct 2020 and we bought the house because of the backyard. It was a beautiful oasis, absolutely lush and green, exactly what we wanted for our 4 kids. The previous owners used Weed man so we continued all the services they had so that the yard would stay beautiful. Early in the summer we started noticing brown patches, so we called and emailed Weed man and they sent someone out. We would wait, literally sitting in the front office on a technician to arrive and no one ever did, we would call, they would say that someone did come but we were waiting and no one ever did. They would even try to bill us for services that performed. By July after much digging , calling, speaking to customer services, sending multiple emails with pictures of our yard, etc. We discovered they had been treating our neighbors yard instead of ours. The technician admitted to it and was very apologetic. Weed man agreed to pay to get our yard back to its lush state. Since then we have had to stay on top of them, frequent calls, emails, follow ups after multiple no shows, etc. Many people have left in the process, Dylan the manager now was a technician back late summer, but has been moved up to management bc so many people have quit. I had one customer service rep tell me my complaint is one of many, that they hear this all the time, and he had put his notice in as well. Sounds like it a terrible company from the top down to the customers. Dylan came out and walked the yard with my husband the first of December after many requests on our part. He said he would be out the following week and has yet to come. He has stopped returning our phone calls as well. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They cannot be trusted, our family has cried many tears about our yard. It's where our family plays together, entertains, hosts birthday parties, and get together for our youth group. This review is only intended to provide information on my experience with Weed Man. As you can see from the photos, my yard now has more weeds than it ever has in the time we've owned the house. Additionally, it is in overall worse shape following the winter than ever before. In all fairness we they didn't have a chance to come out and address the grass because of the experience with trying to get our bushes retreated. As you can also see from the photos, we paid them to treat our bushes and trees. Clearly we still have an issue and now one of our red oaks is dead and we have to have it cut down. We called to ask for someone to come out and didn't receive even a response for over a week. Instead we got an email trying to sell us more services. Finally we figured we better cut our losses and switch to a more responsive company before more damage was done. This lawn company will bill you for services they did not provide, they apply your payment to a treatment that was never provided and then tell you you haven't pay for that month, when you prove to them that you did pay they will say that that particular payment was posted for another service (the one that never happened)... So you will always be one payment out. When you finally had enough and fire them they'll threaten you with sending you to a collection agency. Stay away from this company.... I have been a customer for several years and when it came time to provide services for 2022 prices were 20 to 30% higher than what I paid for in 2021. I asked for my usual discounts and none were honored. There was no negotiating either. I certainly understand the high inflation that everyone is experiencing but if you can't meet your reliable customers with a fair price I'm not how you keep them. I used Weed Man for 2 years and found no discernible improvement to my lawn in that entire time. I am not sure what they spray or do but I honestly don't think it does anything. I have been taking care of my own lawn now with products purchased from Home Depot and it looks great and healthy. I just can't recommend this company due to this but what really has frustrated me is the constant weekly and sometime daily phone calls their sales staff do to try to get my business back. I have asked so many times for them to remove me from their list and they continue to call me. A few of the sales staff are extremely aggressive and won't listen and continue to call me. They went from a company I discontinued and was simply moving on to a company I am leaving a bad review for. read more

I initially used Weed Man for a year for my new home, but then cancelled as another company was cheaper and with better service. I still receive sales calls from WM even though I have asked to be removed from call list and my number is on the do not call registry. Last week a sales man randomly called during the day, and even though I was busy at work I answered. After he began his sales pitch, I explained I didn't have time for it and to be removed from the sales list. He continued with his sales pitch and when I re-stated I didn't have time, this 20 something-year-old decided he would make a childish noise before hanging up. Talk about UN-professional! Of course, I emailed a complaint to their office with the date and time of my interaction and never received any follow-up. I don't care if they offer free service, I won't use an unprofessional business. read more
