They were the most thorough quote we received. They noted the types of grass and weeds that were present in the yard. They even measured the lawn to give an appropriate quote. I have had Magnolia Lawn treating my lawn for over 3 years now. The people are generally nice and the first year we had good results. However going into the second year we developed an orange spot in the front yard that has been treated several times with no resolution to the area. Now the rest of the yard is suffering, it is thin with completely bare areas that didn't exist before hiring the service. I would unequivocally say our yard has not benefited but suffered from Magnolia Lawn Service. I am not one to usually right reviews and contacted the company on several occasions to discuss the issues at hand before posting my review. Lots of promises and no results. We've used Magnolia Lawn to treat our lawn for years now and haven't been disappointed. I did address some concerns we had this year with crabgrass and nuts edge etc in our back yard lawn. They were extremely professional and came out to treat the lawn with leading edge weed control -- 3 weeks later and our lawn is perfect. Now if they only had a treatment to help fix the damage caused by our two boxers that would be fantastic. Maybe one day. Anyway I truly appreciate the attention and response to my inquiries and would have no hesitation recommending Magnolia Lawn to our friends and family!! Also our new tech Dennis is awesome. My parents had heard to go to this company for Christmas lights and it looked amazing. When they took it down, there were nails sticking out of the side all across the side. They had tried contacting the company multiple times with no response. And then they came to their house to give them a thank you basket??? Please be thorough with your work and take all the nails out among other things. Would not recommend. read more

We were long-time customers of Magnolia and we're very disappointed at a point when we brought them out for a shrub and tree trimming estimate. Rather than perform estimate they performed the work without approval. 12 ft butterfly bushes were cut to the ground and looked awful and became an eyesore as we were trying to sell our house. Rather than respond to us about questions we had with doing the work and the workmanship they reported us to collection. I would recommend looking elsewhere for lawn service. read more

Terrible experience. This company is the Hotel California of lawn companies. Once you pay for service, they will keep servicing your lawn even after you cancel their service. They say you have to "opt out" of their billing. But you cannot. Even when you switch to a better service, they will try to "service" your yard again, and then send you a new bill. Stay away! I have used Magnolia Lawn Care for over five years and have nothing but compliments for their work. At first, I only used the weed and feed service and was astounded at how quickly I got the excellent results I was promised! The next year I noticed our shrubbery and trees were not looking very well, even though I fed them. I contacted Magnolia Lawn and asked them to care for the trees and shrubbery as well: the results - the sixteen and seventeen year old plants flourished and were beautiful. Finally, after my husband and father were unable to mow the lawn and trim the trees and shrubs, I contacted Magnolia Lawn for the complete lawn service. The mowing, trimming and edging are exceptional (I'm very particular) and the technicians offered great advice as to how to shape the trees and shrubs for maximum effect. Showed up to give an estimate and did the work prior to providing estimate. Work was not approved or correct for the need (butterfly bushes cut to the ground, overly pruned Myrtles, etc.) They performed excessive work and cost without prior approval. Then would not return calls to discuss the work and then reported me to collections...Nice, I would not work with them. I am not sure if they had management change but something is no longer the customer focus they once had. read more

We have had this service for several years and have been very pleased. They are quick to respond to any problems -- weeds that have spread from our neighbor and ant hills. Our lawn is free of weeds and we have started using them in the back yard as well. Everyone I have spoken with has been polite and accommodating. read more

If I could do no stars I would. I like a few other posting here have used Magnolia for going on 3 years now. The first year was Ok and started getting results. Now this year my whole back yard the grass is killed in big splotches. I brought it to the attention of the lawn care person and I was told that it was just dry. I am not completely stupid and have eyes in my head. My neighbor who doesn't have a lawn care service, doesn't water their lawn was green and thriving. Their lawn is in full sun just like mine. So, by normal deduction what do think the difference is. MAGNOLIA and their treatment of my lawn. They simply do not know what they are doing. My lawn was doing better with me simply getting fertilizer from the big box and spreading it. I spent a lot of money for MAGNOLIA to kill my lawn in my back yard. I would not use them nor recommend them I should have know something was going on when my neighbor across the street from me fired MAGNOLIA cause they were causing large brown spots in his lawn that had never been there before. He went with Tru Green and hay no brown spots and his lawn is beautiful once more. read more

Gave this company two years hoping they would get to an acceptable level but lawn looks worse - fertilizer/chemicals not effective. Their yard maintenance is also poor. They have young, inexperienced kids and lots of turnover. Even with trying to work and communicate with them, it didn't help. They tear up lawn (see photos), don't stay on top of weeds, etc. Then they still wanted to get paid for the last invoice for that terrible work. I paid just to be rid of them. read more

I know nothing about diseases in lawn, or what is needed to kill said diseases without ruining my lawn, but they do! This company stinks. We had them do mowing long enough to see them tear up part of our lawn with the large tires on their mower which they drive too quickly because they're in a hurry due to being always over-booked. They kept overcharging us, and during this period we hired them to do some brush clearing which was a nightmare because first they were no-show, then half of the crew didn't show up, and the one-day project took three trips, a lot of time on the phone with them to get it finished, and completely screwed up our work schedules. They billed us incorrectly AGAIN, and after months of back and forth, I finally was able to get a manager to fix it, or so she said, and I paid over the phone. Well, that was October 2016, and months later, now, we just got an $8 collections item on my credit report. $8 I would think someone could pick up the phone to take care of, and because of previous issues I had asked her when I paid the final bill be ensure me they wouldn't leave any adjusted balance and then send it to collections. She promised they wouldn't, but months later, it ends up hitting my credit report and my credit score. Does it take an attorney to get these guys to do their jobs accurately?!? read more

Rude front office and on all throughout the company ! When I first called for a quote I was told in a not so nice tone that they had already done a quote for my address when I asked when? thee answer was 4 years prior before I bought the home and the tone really did not change. I should have known from that experience but figured they might have been having a bad day.They do not follow instructions even after a walk around and expect to be paid even thought they did not do the job they were hired for and then turned me over to a collection agency. I agree with other review that the owner and his employees seem to take satisfaction in being jerks.All around bad experience. read more

We've lived in Lawrenceville for 10 years. Love to support my local businesses. Tried Magnolia Lawn because of this and was very disappointed. First, they over charge for the quality of work --which is well below average and most importantly it is VERY obvious this company could care less about their reputation in the community or interactions with people in general. One of their drivers almost T-boned my vehicle this morning, as he sped through a busy parking lot. After coming to a stop, he proceeded to open his door, as if he were going to get out of the vehicle, and instead of apologizing beginning yelling sarcasms at me telling me how poor my driving was. I let him know I'd report his driving to the office to which he responded "Go ahead, I'm the manager - I don't care". To him I'd say if you're in business for yourself be careful how you treat "strangers". I see others here have experienced the same and it doesn't surprise me. Wow....where to begin. This company is a complete joke. I signed up for a year long program to receive a "discount". I was told that I would not have to touch my yard as they would handle EVERYTHING (cut the lawn, edge, weed eat, remove trimmings, prune, etc). After the fist visit, I had to call the office because they left strips of grass uncut and did not edge at all. Apparently, that was a sign of poor service to come. I had to call again the following month for similar issues. When I cancelled the service after four months to go to another company, I was told that I would be charged an additional month of service at $185 to offset the discount that I was given up front. I agreed and my credit card was charged. As a note...I did not receive ANY services for that month at all even though the itemized invoice they sent shows that I did. Low and behold, 2 months later, I was sent an invoice and itemized bill that owed an ADDITIONAL $240....again due to the discount I was given. I was even told by the owner, Chuck, that maybe I was given bad information, but that doesn't mean I don't owe the money. WHAT?? I clearly refused to pay any additional amounts. Their shenanigans have no boundaries and I strongly suggest that you stay away! read more

They didn't cut the grass at the proper height (fescue too low, bermuda too high). They can't trim tall bushes properly.
