Awful customer service I was a customer in the spring / summer of 2023 I spent around $400 on there monthly weed care. I got no results. Called every week to explain my problems. No one ever advised what was needed for my lawn to take care of my issues. (AFTER READING MORE REVIEWS, SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS COMMON. TECHS DONT ADVISE AT ALL. THEY JUST LOVE TAKING MONEY) They just kept taking my money. I eventually quit service because I wasn't seeing results. Felt like I was throwing away money. After educating myself a little. Found out I have a paspalum issue. I talked to someone in the summer of 2024 who said "we don't correct that issue". Another month later. My neighbor had the same issue they had corrected by weed man. (Free because they also did not perform good service for her same issue) I decided to call weedman to see if there was a way to salvage my service with them and make things right. They came out, looked at my lawn and provided a quote to actually address my concerns (finally) After explaining this story to the representative. I requested a credit for my previous services that did nothing applied to the service I actually needed. That no one advised me of. I am not requesting money back and was even willing to go back as a customer. I was told by there rep Jose it was my fault as the customer for paying for the wrong service (I signed up for weed care. No one advised me). And they take no responsibility for not advising me of the care my lawn actually needed. Even though I called a ton to try and get my issues corrected / take care of my lawn. All they would offer was a $50 voucher and some service that was "valued at $150" but not related to my actual concern. (Wow) Great customer service from last summer to now. They changed employees very often for worst. Entering our property without ringing the doorbell. This childcare take care for 10 children and a dog. They didn't completed the service because of the kids but charged us without result. They choose where and where not too... paid $250 for overseedling extra read more

I am astonished at some of the reviews. They have always done a good job for me. They, however, cannot do everything. You have to water the lawn, lime the lawn if you don't have them do it, etc. All in all, they are responsive when I notify them of an issue. They are always polite and fair. read more

I would select a -5 but I'm not given the option.... My experience... I called for grub application in 2022... was told to call back in May of 2023 to see if the mole tunnels were still in my yard. Called in May, they said they could do it in June. Then they called and said the application had to be done in July. I waited till July. Then they mistakenly applied grub control to 2 other yards, on different days instead of mine. When they finally came to the right house (today), they told me that I could not have it applied as I have clover and it was toxic to bumblebees. If they had any forethought, they could have told me this and I would have mowed yesterday. Suffice it to say I am calling trugreen now... oh, and they refunded my money....If you want to give yourself an aneurysm, feel free to call them.... read more

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. These guys don't show up and they still bill you. They were contracted by Eversource to restore my lawn. They said they came out 2x a year for 2 years. I'm home all day, my dogs bark every time someone enters my yard plus I have cameras all over the house. They never came. The told Eversource they did and cashed the checks. Look at pictures below. I am totally disappointed with Weedman. The communication from the company is the worst. Read below you will see what I mean. Also, their billing procedures is excessive. I get my check once a month and depending when they apply an application it may be a few weeks. They invoice by email every week. They charge a fee if not paid right away. James Joyce is making Tom Mauer the owner rich with their excessive invoicing. I am disappointed with Alex who kept checking with me every time I called for weed control. Alec came to my property and sprayed the weeds. I informed him that the office had scheduled me for a weed spraying in two days. He informed my wife and I that he will cancel that appointment when he gets back to the office. Well that scheduled day I had a doctor's appointment. Upon arriving home your technician was getting ready to roll the hose back onto the truck. We asked him what he was doing and he said he had an order to spray for weeds. Explained to him that the appointment was supposed to be cancelled by Alex. He immediately called Alex. We were part of the conversation and he said that ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE SPRAYING WILL BE REPAIRED BY WEEDMAN AT NO COST. Two weeks later he called and wanted to look at the lawn. He came and looked at the lawn and said "yes it is damaged and we will take care of it". They are going to start repair work the next week so I will set up an appointment. We had questions but Alex kept saying not to worry. I am going to have it repaired. Well we are at the end of the season for repairing and seeding lawns. Lawn not repaired. I had a tremendous amount of confidence in Alex. I now know that he was well trained in excuses and bullshit like the rest of the staff that has contact with the customers. read more

I have been a Weed Man customer for several years and for the most part service has been excellent. I rarely need to call them for support and when I do, they are responsive. However, recently we have been having a major issue with patches of lawn dying. It could be insects, fertilizer, or a combination of issues. I just do not know. The reports that come with product application do not mention the dead patches. They just say water more often. While I suspect that the lack of water could be a contributing factor, my neighbors on either side and across the street, who do not water, are not having this problem. I could not get an answer on the cause of the lawn problem and have cancelled my annual service. To Weed Man's credit, they did call me and come out. We played phone tag a bit but I have not gotten a call back recently. I spoke with customer service when they were cold-calling me to sell services and their records indicated "lawn repair" needs. I am now a lawn expert and could tell that the lawn needed repair. I was hoping that they would be able to tell me why. If something in the service was overlooked such as an insect issue that was not addresses or misapplication of fertilizer, they could overseed to repair at a discount. At this point, I'm starting the repair myself. As I mentioned, I'm not a lawn expert and cannot diagnose the problem. However, they told me I needed lawn and I did it, they said it needed aeration and I did that too. At this point, all I can say is that the lawn is suffering and we don't know why. read more

Untrustworthy company, I contracted with weedman in the spring of 2019. Went through 3 applications and noticed areas where weeds were not dying. I happened to be home to watch an application and only half of my yard received an application and even that area received a random spraying. When I called customer service I was hung up on, demeaned and laughed at for complaining. They made no attempt to admit an error or satisfactorily rectify the situation. I was even told I was lying. I've been a Weedman customer for 4 years and they did a fantastic job for the first two years but don't seem to care about my weed issue this year. Every treatment this year the tech stated on the slip left on the door that the weeds were spot treated and I happened to be home during the last summer application and watched the tech ignore the large spots of clover and chick weed. But on the slip he stated he spot treated the weeds. That's a lie. I called and they said next time they would send out an experienced tech to handle the problems. I asked for an email address to send these pictures and sent them to receive nothing. I called again and was told the weeds were tough because of the drought but I mentioned my water bill was up over 50% because I was watering every other day. After a brief phone conversation, during which we did NOT ask for their services, we received a notice saying that, unless otherwise notified, they would service and bill us. This is fraudulent and deceptive. They did not even inspect the property and certainly did not receive approval for doing any work. This is an appalling practice. I see many other reviews about their deceptive practices, which seem quite believable on the basis of our experience. read more

Very deceptive, they came and did one application and billed me twice for putting the same chemical on twice. They did the same thing to another house in my neighborhood. Never use these clowns. I used Weed Man here in Longmeadow, Ma. And it was a HUGE mistake. I needed maintenance on a green, flourishing lawn as I No Longer have time to fertilize myself. Within ONE month, my lawn showed signs of distress where as I phoned the office to have a technician schedule an appointment to meet me and repair. After going thru this for the entire summer, and notes left on my door speaking to services done to the lawn. The Lawn Continued to Decline. Finally someone made an appointment to speak with me in October, and proceeded to tell me why my lawn didn't respond to treatments, and offered a solution of Weed Man ONLY fertilizing the "Healthy" parts of my lawn moving forward. He then asked if I wanted to pay for over seeding and Aeration, or to be put on a plan for 2018. The technician also insulted me, and the company who seeded the lawn 5 years ago (new house). I didn't have the heart to tell him that the owner of the Weed Man franchise here in Western Mass was the company that installed the lawn - Mountain View Landscaping, which is the ONLY reason I chose Weed Man. Bottom Line: The Lawn was Healthy and Flourishing, and Now it's NOT. And their answer is to ONLY treat the remaining "Healthy" part of the lawn. read more

Terrible customer service! I dont know how these guys are in still in business. I contracted them for a year, prepaid. End of first season i see NO difference. I called to postpone a treatment they set up due to having a party in my backyard for a 1 year old not wanting any chemicals spread before the kids came over. EVERY time i called i could only leave a message i left a few regarding postponement a week in advance low and behold they treated it anyway THEN called me back and said no worries it wont hurt the kids, like i'm gonna take the chance. Deciding to give them an opportunity to redeem themselves i met with a guy to discuss my weed issue he said they would come back and spot treat as i watched them from inside they did about 1/3 of the problem areas in about 5 mins and were gone. I accepted an offer to aerate my lawn for an additional cost, finally got a call stating when they would come, on a day well after the first frost. I got a call from Kevin a day before the appointment date stating he was at my house and couldn't get the machine down the 3 stairs to my backyard, if he came on the scheduled day i would of had a ramp set up, when asked how much for just the front yard he said he would call me back in a couple hours with the price...a week later no call i'm done. Do not trust these people! Or make sure you are home when they arrive for service. We caught them on camera pulling in, dropping a service tag on our door and leaving. Under 5 minutes and no service actually provided. Makes me wonder if they did anything all season. The supervisor came and gave us service for the one that was not done, but their reaction since makes me believe this now they do business. They got caught so they came back, but what about the 5 other treatments? Never occurred to me I should have checked our cameras those days! Be warned! Shady shady outfit. I'm extremely upset with this company. My husband only called to find out what services they offered and the pricing. We told Jack, that we did NOT want the services at this time because I am pregnant, and I don't feel comfortable using chemicals. That was in August/Sept. Jack just called twice in a row and left a message stating they were mailing out a confirmation for services in 2019! We never agreed to services, nor signed anything. They will claim not to get your cancellation communications, continue to service your yard, bill you, then turn you over to a collection agency when you refuse to pay for service you attempted to cancel. I tried this company actually because Rock 102 was singing their praises. I just called to cancel my service. I called initially because I had a bad mole problem. When speaking with them I was told they could get rid of my moles, no problem. When the gentlemen came for the first treatment he assured me that they could fix my mole problem. The mole treatment was extra, okay fine. But I was also told that if they came back they would re-apply for no extra charge. Well, the moles came back alright. I called this morning the service rep told me I could have the mole treatment again for $50 but suggested that I call another company to get rid of the moles. Then I was transferred to the top service rep who did apologize that I was less than happy with their service. He proceeded to tell me that the mole application they put down they "hope" works but not always and that's really not what their service is about. I told him that when I was contemplating their company they told me it was no problem getting rid of moles! The Rep said that he couldn't control what all his sales/service people told customers...really? So it's okay to give false information? In fairness he did offer to put another treatment down for free if I stayed with them. I asked him what the point was if it's a 50/50 shot it will work? His words, not mine. I said thanks, but no thanks. He said sorry to lose you as a customer and click hung up. Maybe they do well with just making grass grow, I don't know, but if you have moles.....this is not the place to go. read more
