I was VERY happy with the work done by the 2 men who removed the tree, trimmed the 2 others, and CLEANED UP the yard thoroughly after their work was done -- you would never even know that extensive work was done that day. I am, however, EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with the tree stump removal (IN THE FRONT YARD!!!). The stump grinding created a great big HOLE in the ground and a HUGE pile of dirt and ground tree stump right next to the hole. He told men that they "never fill in the holes", that's up to the homeowner to do! I am a woman, 77 years old, disabled, and walk, in great pain, with a cane -- and I was left with a great big hole and a huge plle of dirt TO FILL IN MYSELF !! Now I have to find someone to PAY to fill in that hole. IF I HAD KNOWN THAT ARBORTECH NEVER INTENDED TO COMPLETE THE JOB, OR THAT THIS WAS THEIR "STANDARD PRACTICE", I WOULD NOT HAVE PAID (WAAAY TOO MUCH!!!) $425 to have one small-to-medium stump ground!!!! And I am left with an unsightly mess on my front lawn. This was a huge ripoff, and not worth the money.

Gary, at Arrow Tree Service, Chicopee took agreed upon money, delivered 25% less that I paid for and gave me green, uncured wood while I was away from home. Gave him a chance to rectify, by contacting him on phone. He informed me that I was wrong and nothing was offered to make his dishonest service right. Told me it was wet because of rain. Has not rained for a couple weeks now and it is covered and still not burning. Do not recommend use of his tree services ever! Not an honest person. He advertises on craigslist.

So about four months ago, I cut a tree in my front yard, and called Sikes to see if they could come out and grind the stump. I had to call three times over two weeks before I got something other than their voicemail (they had never called me back either). So I now asked if they could come out to grind the stump. They sent out someone to take a look and they left an estimate. I called back to schedule a time, and they said that since it was the one stump, they would get to it when in my neighborhood doing other work. Ok. Fair enough. Three months went by, and I saw them in my neighborhood. They drove right past my house. Then a few weeks later (yesterday) I saw their sign. They did some tree work. Cut one down. At the house LITERALLY NEXT DOOR TO MINE! And for perspective? My house and my neighbor are separated by all of....15 FEET! You couldn't be anymore in "my neighborhood" unless you were in my freaking living room!!! Oh, and my stump? Untouched. So I called them. Got their voicemail (of course). I told them the above. I told them to no longer bother. And I told them that I could have a freaking tree grow through the center of my house, and I still wouldn't call them. After several years of recommending their service, last season I ordered and recieved some of the worst firewood I have ever purchased. I was told that I would be contacted from the owner several times to be made whole and he never reached out to fix the problem... they sold me and dropped when I was not home a few cords of wood that was 97%- 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inch thin 10 inch slabs cut from the outside of the tree. They did not have any problem with cashing my check for premium cord wood and did not care to fix my problem and never reached back to me with several messages left.
