My now husband and I were gifted three dance lessons with Roseann to prepare for our first dance at our wedding by friends of ours, who took lesson with Roseann for their own wedding, and loved them. It was an amazing gift, and we were so lucky to get to work with Roseann. We were not sure what dance less would be like, and were a little nervous going into our first one. Roseann is just lovely, and made us feel so comfortable. She is a great teacher, and really helped us feel more confident for our wedding. Neither of us were good dancers before the lessons, but even after only 3 lessons, we felt ready to go on our wedding day. We also had such a great time taking the lessons! It is something different and fun to do with your partner. I would highly recommend going to lessons here before your wedding or other special event. My husband and daughter needed to get a father/daughter dance prepared- difficult as they live 200 miles apart. Roseanne agreed to work with them, despite a severe shortage of time. It was wonderful! After talking to a bunch of dance instructors and even contacting some folks recommended through Yelp, I still felt like I hadn't made that connection with an instructor who could help with my first dance for my upcoming wedding. Our challenge is compounded by the fact that I used to teach ballroom dance eons ago, but trying to teach your future spouse something sometimes just doesn't work - sometimes you need a third party. That's where Roseann stepped in! We met at her loft and immediately began laying out the various pieces of the dance - the entrance, inside turns, outside turns, the actual Viennese waltz and rotations. That is a TON for a first lesson. She gave us extra time without charging for it and followed up the lesson with an email summarizing what we'd learned, what she'd like us to practice and what we will cover in our next class. Almost a week later, the basic steps are commited to memory in my fiance's mind (who totally struggled with them in the beginning) and I'm confident that we'll get what we need from 2 lessons with Roseann. She's patient and super friendly and I would totally recommend her to any couple looking to fine tune their dance or avoid the Middle School Sway as I've come to call it. She does private and group lessons for other dances as well and I've seriously considered taking some other classes with her once the wedding has passed. read more

We couldn't have asked for a better instructor! Kind, positive and always working with us make sure that we were comfortable with each step throughout every session, Roseann was perfect. And, to top it off, Roseann is a lovely person and simply just loved being around her. After our 1st session with Roseann, we both walked out feeling like we wanted more and couldn't believe how fast the hour had passed - not only did we have FUN learning together, but we couldn't wait for our next session to learn more! Roseann gave us all the right tools to make sure we nailed our 1st dance - she sent us notes after each lesson and always did her homework before our sessions by crafting the right amount of newness for each session with her. Her studio is a perfect space for learning - intimate and personable -you always feel like you are receiving her undivided attention. She truly cares about each couple and picks up on their personality to tailor the dance to each couple's style. Unlike other dance studios, she never pushes any step or sequence on you if you are not comfortable with it! She is always willing to re-teach or present a particular step in a different way if one isn't fully comprehending the technique. In the end, we had 4 sessions with Roseann, which for us was the perfect amount of instruction for us. Had we not moved back to CA, we would have signed up for more with Roseann after the wedding - simply because she opened up a new world of dance and a really fun way to work with your partner and learn something new! In the end, our dance was loved by our guests! To Roseann's credit and talent, she helped to design the most perfect dance for us - enough flair and fun to make our guests love our 1st dance under the stars! None of us knew how to dance, but she was very patient and worked with us until we had a presentable, choreographed dance for each song. We had absolutely NO dance experience before meeting Roseann, but we wanted to feel comfortable with our first dance for our wedding. WE LOVE ROSEANN!!! We ended up doing 5 lessons with her because seeing her every Wednesday was the highlight of our weeks leading up to the wedding. Roseann is the sweetest and so supportive and knows exactly what folks are looking for re: loose choreography for their first dance. Our dance went so great during our wedding, and everyone LOVED it! We ended up learning some moves for three different songs (first dance, last dance, and mother/groom dance) which were a range of pop to acoustic to a Chinese folk song, and Roseann came up with beautiful and manageable steps for us for all of them. We decided to give Wedding Dance a try because it seemed reasonably priced in comparison with the other dance studios in the area and because of the positive reviews we encountered online. We started lessons (one a week) about five or six weeks before our wedding, and continued up until the week of our wedding. We couldn't have been more happy with our choice! Roseann possesses a strong ability to teach in the context of having fun and to adapt her style to your personality as well as your goals. We spent the first lesson practicing our 'first dance' and then moved into other types of instruction in the following weeks, including salsa, merengue, bachata and waltz. We then circled back to our original 'first dance' and noticed such a strong improvement with our overall comfort and skills on the dance floor - it was truely suprising and exciting. (I am not a dancer and Roseann taught me to dance!) Roseann is a ton of fun to work with. Every lesson she was intent to take our time and teaching in a direction that most addressed our needs and expressed interests. Beyond that, she couldn't have been more encouraging along the way. We strongly recommend Roseann / Wedding Dance to anyone who is looking to have fun and to prepare, no matter what the level, for their special day. We went to see Roseann to help us with our first dance at our wedding. Neither of us is especially adept at dancing, and we were able to learn a dance with an entrance, twirls, dips and turns that wowed our family and friends. Roseann was fantastic at assessing our skill level, our style, and working with us to choreograph to the song we had chosen. She was great at setting up a dance that we were able to learn in our time frame (about a month, with ~3 lessons) and within our talent levels. Her teaching style is very easy and relaxed, and she was so encouraging! We found her an easy teacher to follow and her instructions were clear and very understandable and we were also able to practice them at home. Roseann was able to accommodate lessons after work in her loft, which was really appreciated, especially with so much going on in the final weeks before the wedding. It was great to have one-on-one instruction. She was very reasonably priced as well, compared to some other instructors that we compared. Everyone at the wedding, even the wedding photographer, was extremely impressed and we owe it all to Roseann! We highly recommend Roseann as a dance instructor. 5 stars! read more

We saw Roseann to learn a few moves and loosen up for our first dance. I was very happy with her. She took her time with us, and made sure that we were comfortable with each move before moving on to the next one. I really liked her technique, she made sure that we learned at our own pace, and the lesson was tailored to us and what we had requested. She worked with the skill level we had, and the song we presented her with. I am not a dancer at all, so that's exactly how I wanted to learn, and by the end of the night we had learned a first dance that I was comfortable with and confident enough so that with practice I'd be ready to dance on our wedding day. Do it. Roseann is fantastic. We did the entire 5 or 6 lessons and it was worth it. She did a great job and we nailed it on our wedding day! The only regret is we did not have it video taped. If you don't have your wedding video taped, at least have someone video tape the dance (if you take lessons from Roseann) and the toasts (forget the rest). Can't recommend Roseann enough. Totally tailored the dance to us and to each of us individually. I just wish we could have sent her a tape of the dance. We did this in 2012 as we were married July 2012. read more

WEDDING DANCE BOSTON IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!! We recently took dance lessons from Roseann. It was a 25th anniversary gift. We have taken dance lessons from other studios over the years but never experienced the special treatment that we did at this studio. The lessons are very private - no one else in the studio and it was nice to get the full hour since there are no distractions. She sent us home with notes so we could practice at home too. Roseann is a lovely person and one of the kindest, most genuine people you would ever want to meet, not to mention a wonderful teacher. We not only enjoyed the lesson, we enjoyed her company. One night we met a young bride and groom-to-be as we were leaving. They seemed so happy and said it was the least stressful of all the things they had to do for the wedding and even the non-dancing groom enjoyed it and was excited to dance his first dance.
