I hired Kaylee from Wedding Belles as my wedding day coordinator, expecting her to handle the details and ensure everything ran smoothly. Unfortunately, her performance left much to be desired. Here are some of the issues we faced:
Several guests mentioned seeing her drinking during the wedding, and she was rude to them, lacking professionalism and respect.
She failed to set up our video camera, so our ceremony wasn't recorded. This was a significant moment for us, and we wanted a video to cherish and share with family and friends. This oversight robbed us of that precious memory.
She didn't follow my instructions and used decor from unopened boxes I planned to return. I had organized everything into labeled storage bins for each table and area, but she ignored the labels and used items that were not meant to be used, wasting my money and time.
She didn't use all the rose petals for decor as I had wanted, leaving the aisle and decor looking bare. Many petals went to waste, resulting in a dull and sparse look that did not match my vision.
On the day of the wedding, she asked for information I had already sent her well in advance, such as the timeline, vendor contacts, and seating chart. This caused unnecessary stress and confusion.
She and her assistant took the first page of our Polaroid guestbook for a self-promotion photo and signature, which I found very tacky and inappropriate. This ruined the first page of our guestbook.
Nothing was on time. My husband and I had to keep reminding her when things should be happening. Dinner was significantly delayed, and she was often seen talking and drinking instead of managing the schedule and vendors.
She entirely skipped over my husband's welcome speech. When we brought it to her attention, she said we had to wait until after dinner, which was very rude and disrespectful.
My vendors also complained that they hadn't heard from her at all. Each of our meetings felt unproductive, as she just read off a list of to-dos from The Knot. I had to handle most of the coordination myself.
In the end, while the decor didn't look terrible, I believe it would have been better if she had followed our directions and been more attentive during the ceremony. I regret hiring her and would not recommend her to anyone. She was a source of stress and did not live up to her promises or expectations. I would caution other brides to be careful before hiring her and to look for other options. She did not make our wedding day easier or happier, but rather the opposite. read more
