This company is among the worst I have ever encountered in terms of customer service response and…read moreavailability, following directions, fulfilling obligations or promises, and general 'give a crap' regarding their customers. I signed on with them many many years ago to get a domain name for a business, and again a couple years later for another. Each had a reasonable initial and annual price and included 5 email accounts and email hosting in the price, although I only used the latter for one of the domains. Last month their prices increased from less than $20/yr to over $2000/yr for the same service, while switching how they were hosting from POP to office365 with only 24 hrs notice and that single notice was to only ONE of the 4 email addresses I had set up with them, and not the primary one. Obviously, this caused a problem when my email stopped working. They agreed to give me a month of additional service at a reduced (from their ridiculous new monthly fee) price to give me time to get switched to a different email hosting provider. The agreement was that they would cut me off at the end of that month. I got everything transferred to a new provider and working with a week to spare, so TargetDomain (godaddy now) is no longer hosting my email services at all. Then this morning I get notice that they have charged me through paypal to host 2 email addresses for the next 3 years. Over $500 for that 'service' which I don't want and am not using currently or plan to ever in the future, and which they KNOW I don't want and cannot use (MX records don't even point to them). To top it off, the only method to reach them with any real issue is phone, and this time as with last time, I was waiting on hold for over 40 minutes before even getting to a human. They did ultimately issue a refund, but their customers really shouldn't have to sit on hold for long periods of time in order to resolve TargetDomain initiated screwups. I could NOT recommend anyone to use this company as domain registration or hoster of email or web services at the present time, or for that matter their 'associated' company godaddy. In my opinion you should look elsewhere. Th email hoster I switched to has much better customer service availability and is literally 30 times less expensive (36 months for 3 mailboxes for less than 1/10 of the cost of each mailbox under targetdomain, with the same service specifics. I will state that the TargetDomain's customer services representatives, when you finally get one on the line, are friendly and have addressed my issues (issued refunds, extended the original service agreement by 1 month). It doesn't seem to be the problem that their customer service representatives don't know what they are doing, but rather that there are too few of them considering how many of their customers have been given cause to call them, and the company itself seems to have lost its original mission. My major complaint is that I shouldn't have to call them in the first place, and their prices are (now) ridiculous.

Godaddy is the worst hosting company I have ever been with. All I wanted to do is have a flyer up…read moreon another website so when their customers click on it my flyer opens. Couldn't do that with godaddy because I have their template website package, so of course they want more money. And when I need to do something else they want more money, I'm already spending 5x what I paid before. Their customer service has to put me on hold and look everything up, they know nothing. And each person says something completely different. I've spent 15 hours this week either on the phone, messaging or texting and still for whatever reason you can't buy a ticket from my event website. So tired of this hyped up company that doesn't know what they are doing or how to support their customer!
