Wow. What a horrible experience. We went there to open a personal account and 2 business accounts…read more No prob with the personal, but when it came to the business accounts, they basically wanted an inappropriate amount of info beyond our corporate documents, including asking us how we planned to market our business and then asked for a copy of our "minutes." All that is way out of bounds. I had business accounts my entire career and I have never been asked to share private information like that. I guess they care more about their own rules than the massive deposit I was going to make. And I thought credit unions were supposed to be friendlier and easier. Never again with this place.

For me, a good credit union or bank have to have a state of the art online banking system where…read moreamong other things, I can see pending items; see internal transfers immediately; and have a memo field when I make an internal transfer so I know what the transfer was for. Sikorsky CU doesn't have any of this. Their online banking is old, archaic, outdated, it lacks functionality, and doesn't give me the visibility of my money that I need. It also lacks elegance. It's an ugly and clunky user interface, and doesn't give me the banking visibility other credit unions have on their online banking. I've banked with institutions that really have great online systems but this is a far cry from being good. I've spoken to two managers at the Call Center about it and neither has gotten back to me about getting feedback from their IT department about improving this. Both promised to get to me with some update but they haven't. Terrible service. No banking institution is good if they don't provide customers with good visibility of how my money moves within their accounts. I also get my paycheck deposited too late compared to my other banking institutions. It's really been a terrible disappointment moving over to SikorskyCredit Union. I regret doing so. If they don't modernize their online banking system I'm going to have to leave. Right now, I'm very unhappy with Sikorsky Credit Union.

Liberty Bank contacted ME (again they contacted ME) that there might be some fraudulent charges on…read moreour debit card. We checked and there were totaling about $160. One was for a raffle for cookware another from a gym membership and another for a VPN account. The next day we went to the bank and cancelled the card and got a replacement. They bank could not do anything with the transactions at the time because they were "Pending" We left the next day for vacation and returned a week later and went to the bank to fill out the fraudulent claim paperwork. Approximately 10 days later we received letters saying they were valid transactions. We then called Liberty and they said they would send us the docs involved in them calling valid transactions. Never got them. Called again and basically told them "why would come to bank the next day, cancel my card, get a new one, then the same day we get back from vacation go to the bank to fill out paperwork. For my health? So Liberty Bank is relying on some fraudulent data they got instead of an life long customer. Unfortunately Liberty is the only bank in my town and if there was one called Joe's Bank or Not safe Bank I would pull my accounts in a minute. All the good this bank fid for me over the past 50 years went away when they believe some fraudulent person and not a life long customer. Stay Away if you want to keep your money safe.

Only one chance to make a bad first (and last) impression! FAIL…read more Unhappy with service charges at my current bank, I did my homework and selected this bank for my business account. I called ahead to find out exactly what I needed to open the account and brought the required papers to the branch. BUT it turned out that I had apparently gotten bad information. The very nice customer service rep apologized and offered to get the account started while I "ran back to my office to get the other documents". Uh, no. My time is valuable, and I had been prepared. It's quite possible that what she needed could have been obtained via my smart phone, or faxed later, but she didn't offer that as an option. She offered her business card, but I won't be back. I hesitate to blame either banker- it's the bank's management that is responsible for properly training their staff and ensuring consistency. I decided that, at least for the time being, the service charge at my current bank may be the price I'm paying for consistently knowledgeable, skilled staff with the ability to make executive decisions. The extra star was for the customer service rep being a nice person.
