RAT POSION Let's see if Dave, deletes my post again This is just the beginning Dave. Isn't it best to always speak the TRUTH WATSON DIED IN THE CARE OF WEBER'S TRAINING SCHOOL. SON Says he has NO REGRETS and NO REMORSE!!! When I moved to Princeton, NJ, I found Weber's. My dogs were excited to show up and I used them for quite some time. Even for day care. Because I trusted them, and my dogs were seemingly so happy there, I still took the drive to Princeton as a loyal client when I moved back to Long Island, New York just to board both of my dogs. I believed on having them run on open fields versus being in crates during the times that I went away for long periods of time. I was told they were outside all the time. I was told they were taking a nature walks, so I even paid extra to make sure they had the best of the best. I was told they were out frequently for long durations when the weather was pleasant, and they went out more often for shorter durations during bad weather. I was going away for the New Year until January 2022 and dropped the kids off a few days before. To make this short and sweet, I got a call from Dave December 26, 2021 about not my nine year old girl, (thank goodness) but my my beloved 2 year old baby boy Dalmatian, named Watson, who just had a check up weeks before with a perfect bill of health. Dave told me on December 25, 2021, everyone was put in for the night around 6:30PM where Watson had just run around, ate his food, and essentially went about his regular agenda and seemed completely and perfectly healthy, as did Khloe. Mind you; December 25th was Christmas. Dave told me they came in the kennel in the morning of the 26th, and they found him in his sleeping area with my other dog Khloe, with Watson being DEAD on his side. I immediately felt sick and I threw up all over myself in bed. I called my vet who screamed on the phone in disbelief "what?!!" I rushed there from Long Island, New York with my mother as I could not drive for good reason. I showed up and Dave's daughter Ava did not come out to greet me as she always did. She was behind the office glass door hysterically crying and could not make eye contact. His sons didn't come out either, as they always did. My nine-year-old girl was brought out to me with vomit all over her chest, her legs, and her paws. Dave told me it was just dirt as she was playing outside. My baby boy Watson was wrapped in black construction garbage bags was in a room on the left hand side before you walk through the office door. When I opened his bag, he was indeed passed away, thinner, and he had vomit all over himself. They handed me his collar which also had vomit all over it. I then realized my baby girl Khloe was not covered in dirt. She's also extremely thirsty. She was covered in Watson's vomit. They asked me to keep in touch and Dave was very anxious about his autopsy report and called me several times. The Autopsy and Necropsy say an anticoagulant was in his system also known as Rodenticide or Rat POISON. All his blood pooled to his stomach and did not coagulate. In plain English, this means that he internally bled to death. To make a much longer story short, my child Watson WAS in the care of Weber's Training School in Princeton New Jersey when he died. Watson was last seen alive at Weber's Training School. Dave also charged my mother for Khloe's short stay and said "I won't profit off of Watson's demise." He of course took money for Khloe. Then he charged her for a leather leash, which was needed for Khloe, as the kids belongings were packed up in my truck and not my mothers, which we took there without realizing I forgot everything. How sickening. I have not gotten one phone call to see how I am as we are grieving, missing Watson terribly, and Khloe is very clearly depressed over the loss of her brother and I am worried about her health, as she is older. I lost my child, my beloved companion, and Khloe and I together lost our best friend. Run far away from this place!!! Don't think twice. read more

I was in search of a place to board my 8 month old border collie pup on short notice in the Princeton area and a brief Google search led me to Weber's. The prices were reasonable for boarding and they had great testimonials on their website. I liked that they offered a wide range of services, like adding individualized romp time and swimming to their basic overnight stay. When it comes to my pup, I'd gladly pay a few dollars more to ensure she gets exercise and some quality time with the staff. I had never spent a night away from my dog until her stay at Weber's and I was a little nervous about how she would do without me. Boy, was that unnecessary! I dropped her off after signing in and she felt so comfortable she went right in the back with the owner without even looking back! It was such a relief to know that she was being cared for while I went into the city for the night for a baseball game. I picked her up this afternoon with very little fuss or paperwork, and she looked so calm and pampered. The staff at Weber's even bathed and groomed her so she looked, felt, and smelled amazing- I couldn't believe it. She came out looking better than when she went in, and I didn't even ask them to bathe her. The staff fed her the special food I left with them and gave her the toys from home I requested she have. I can tell when my girl has been stressed out or overstimulated, but this was not one of those times. She looked very relaxed and happy to see me, but you could tell from looking at the staff member's face who had been playing with her that he loves dogs and that they had a blast together. I don't get the poor reviews on here, so I wanted to be sure to leave a review of my great experience. I was expecting my dog to come back smelling a little rank because it had been raining and yes, dogs pee and poop, but I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. She was well-loved and pampered during her stay, and I will definitely be back to board her on future trips. read more

This place is a true hidden gem. Many people get Weber's mixed up with the kennel down the road. Weber's has been on Route One for years, as a child I remember seeing it. Several celebrities and public figures have had their dog boarded at Weber's or have their dog trained by the owner, one of the best in his field. All of my dogs have been trained by Weber's with their two week training and all my dogs are well behaved now. Family owned and run their staff is complete animal lovers and love what they do. His two sons and beautiful daughter give undivided individual care to each dog and before I walk into the door; his two sons are giving me and my husband a helping hand with Max and Rocco. Every time I am away on a business trip, my dogs stay at Weber's. They give me updates/progress reports on how my dogs are doing. They also give my dogs romp time and if I request for a bath the day I pick up, my dogs look great and are well cleaned, it is also reassuring they don't use high heat when blow drying their dogs. If I am running behind schedule they assure me that my dogs are safe and in good hands. Though Weber's is an older facility, it is well established and the staff there is qualified. We will be going to Weber's for the rest of my life. read more

I have been bringing my dog Duke to Weber's for approximately a year now, and could not speak more highly of the business and the people that are associated with it. From day 1, they have gone above and beyond every expectation I have had to take care of Duke, as if he was their own dog. When something unexpected comes up in my life, the staff has been more then happy to take Duke in on short notice. When I lost my job, the staff worked with me to make Duke's stays more affordable so I could look for work. He is exercised regularly, and there have even been times when I've picked him up and he has had his nails cut and been bathed, without me even having to ask. Duke has special dietary needs, and during one of his stays he ran out of food, so the staff cooked him chicken and rice so he wouldn't get an upset stomach. Weber's is Duke's second family, and I would HIGHLY recommend that you stop by and meet Dave, Alex, and the rest of the staff in person and get your pet cared for by the absolute BEST in the business. Duke and I are moving to New York, and we will greatly miss the attentive, loving, personalized care that Weber's provides for my four-legged family member. read more

We have had excellent experience with both training and boarding over the last 13+ years with Dave, Alex and the Weber's crew. Dave is a highly experienced trainer who was extremely caring and patient with our Basset from training her as a puppy to the special care she needed during boarding as an elderly 13 year old who was on multiple medications. Recently, we have been training our rambunctious young Lab/Newfie mix with individual training lessons, but Dave also kindly let us audit the group class for additional practice. He has taught us alot about obedience training and behaviour 'best practices' - especially important with 2 young children in the household. We recently boarded the the Lab./Newfie mix -he was very well looked after, clearly had a blast and we picked up him up freshly bathed and manicured! We appreciate the peace of mind from boarding in such a caring, experienced and well maintained environment and don't hesitate to recommend Weber's for both training and boarding. read more

This is my first time ever posting on a site. I read some of the reviews below and felt a more recent one was needed. My dogs have been staying at Weber's for 7 years now. One of the things we like about the place is that they care for the animals and it is all about the dogs. The no frills environment is perfectly fine. Kennels smell but that is what happens with a bunch of dogs. My dogs are well cared for, known by the staff and adored. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Dave and his family treat our dogs like they were their own. On the rare occasion where one of the dogs may have been eating less or not feeling well, they were very up front with me and did everything to make them feel better. My dogs are excited to go there and when we mention the name they run towards the car. If you are looking for the newer , fancier places that charge twice as much, than this is not it. If you are looking at a place that actually cares about your dogs than go to Webers. read more

My husky, Nuka, had a great first visit at Weber's. We had a reservation for a night of boarding and ran into some car trouble on the way to drop off Nuka. My husband called the office and asked if we showed up at 5:00 (closing time) if they would still accommodate. Note that this was our first visit, in which check-in generally requires more time. Thankfully Weber's was understanding and waited around for us (we pulled in at 5:02). Nuka seemed happy and healthy when we picked him up the next morning (they even provide high-quality food). Since it was a quick stay, so we didn't partake in any of the other services, but we will definitely be back. Thanks so much! read more

While I understand that some may have had poor experiences with Weber's, I would like to say that my dog has gone to Weber's for the last 3 years and we have had nothing but positive experiences with Dave and his friendly and professional staff. Woody and I are always greeted by name upon arrival. My dog goes in wagging his tail and comes out wagging his tail. It is a shame that more people don't use sites like Yelp to tell of their positive experiences, as one bad review can damage a reputation which took generations of hard work to earn. Weber's is a great establishment. We have boarded our two small dogs with them several times; once for almost a month. Dave and his family take excellent care of our pets. My three sons often take turns calling Weber's to check on our pets while we're away and they are always given kind and courteous updates. I especially like that Dave is always willing to offer more than fair pricing, especially for long stays. Finally, my dogs are a bit sensitive and while initially they were scared to go to this kennel over time they really warmed up to Dave and his sons. I feel like this is the best endorsement of all. New to the area. I travel for work and am very happy to have gotten lost on my way home and found Weber's, it is right on route 1. It has been around for quite sometime, I mentioned it to my parents and they remembered the famous green sign with the dog on it, from our long family trips going down south. Upon our first boarding stay I realized this three generational family run facility has all the comforts of home. Complete concentration on the dogs, the love of dogs, never mixed up with modern day technology. Again the unconditional love for dogs. What a GREAT find in this day and age. read more

Fantastic care, truly the nicest people in the world, and totally fair and reasonable pricing (a bargain, actually). I entrusted my two energetic dogs to Weber's for a stretch of 18 days this summer, and I couldn't be happier. Our dogs seem happy, fit, healthy, and well-cared for when we picked them up. Weber's even managed a nail trim (which even vets haven't accomplished for one of ours) and a bath. I won't hesitate to take my pups back to Weber's whenever we have to travel, and I may take advantage of their obedience training, if I get the chance. read more

Definitely feel obligated to sing this place's praises. We've boarded Jake here for almost 4 years now and have never had anything but a positive experience. The staff are welcoming and friendly and I know Jake is well taken care of here. He always gets so excited to see the building and when we pick him up he is still a happy boy. Weber's is definitely a no frills kind of place, but their emphasis on taking care of your fur baby is evident. I have been boarding my dogs at Webers for over 10 years and never had a problem. Dave is always nice and helpful. He has given me great advice over the years for everything from puppy obedience to health issues. I trust him and always act on his suggestions. His staff is just as nice and helpful. I feel as if they really like my dog and appreciate him as I do. Tank is always happy at both drop off and pick up. The place is clean and my dog is well taken care of, what more can you ask for! I'm new to the area and am very happy with the recommendation of Weber's Training School for our dog, Coco. She is a beautiful, brilliant standard poodle who is up in her years and is partially blind and has no teeth. The facility is easy to get to and they supply all the comforts a dog may need. I cannot compliment the crew enough on their care of Coco, she does need a lot of attention, patience and time. You will not go wrong in trusting your dogs care with Weber's Training School. read more

I am so disappointed and surprised to see the low ratings of Weber's. Our family dogs have been going to Weber's for about ten years. We have never had a problem and our dogs absolutely love it there. The staff is so friendly and Dave is great. They saved our rottweiler Ginger's life on one occasion. I have been bringing my bulldog, Otis to Weber's for (almost monthly) baths going on three years. The Staff at Weber's is always pleasant and friendly, and accommodating of my schedule. They provide excellent service for good value. If you live in the Princeton area, Weber's is a great place for your dog to get cleaned up! I highly recommend the Oatmeal bath, great for dogs' skin and coat, and you pick them up smelling good. read more

I couldn't speak more highly on the service i have been given every time me and my dog Noah go in for a visit.The staff is nothing but professional and helpful. i'm not sure on why the yelp rating is so low every other review website has webers at 4/5 stars and rightfully so. The staff is kind and friendly and seems to really love dogs. Our dogs always come back well-exercised, happy, and healthy. It's true that it's not "high-tech," but who cares?
