So that's how I initially knew they existed, and more recently Austin influencer Jenna Palek posted that her friends actually own this so that's super cool! Not sure if I came on a bad day or at a low-peak time but it was kind of "dead". I wasn't personally looking for a more busy environment at the time, but just an observation for a Thursday around 5-6pm. I borrowed their restroom to do an outfit change, then ordered a drink because I felt bad taking up space while waiting for another nearby business to open where my event was being hosted. It was fun to watch the staff and patrons laugh together and see "neighborhood camaraderie". One of the staff was celebrating a birthday so I joined in on the singing to him! Also, just to note that there's only a combo "human and dog" entrance, I was trying to locate a solo "human" entrance but I don't think there is one. The bar patio area is leashed, but the yard isn't! They also have food trucks on site but I didn't try them.

All dogs must be registered and you can purchase memberships or day passes. Day passes work best for us because our little guy is reactive and skittish at times. There is so much room outside for the pups to play and frolic. The playground comes complete with little swimming pools too. Lots of picnic bench seating for humans (with umbrellas because hello, Texas sun). Food truck on the premises. Nice indoor bar with a great lineup of cocktails and beers. This is a fun, creative, and unique addition to the east side! PS: dogs must provide proof of updated vaccinations.

I paid $40 a month and was happy with the environment. I must admit on a surface level, this is the best dog park in Austin. Amenities include a completely astroturfed playground, large flatscreen TVs, and fans for each of the guests. Caution, the glamour hides ugly business practices. Come to find out, the women employees get paid less than the male employees. The owner consistently disrespects his employees by yelling at them. I've seen employees cry because of the way he treats them. My experience: Many dog parents throw birthday celebrations for their pet. We're all responsible and we clean up after ourselves. They're peaceful celebrations. I had the decency to ask for permission to throw my dog a birthday party. They told me they were going to charge me a $500 fee even though I wasn't asking for anything beyond permission. I purchased gifts to give out for all attendees. my generosity was met with malice. Mid-celebration the owner texted me a long, unfriendly message telling me to FaceTime them. My membership was then suspended, but I guess they decided to revoke it without communication. They continued to charge me for the membership, even though I no longer had access. They chose to lose my business of over one year, which amounts to almost $500, over a dog's birthday party, generous of all guests. Choose wisely where you spend your dollars. A membership here supports unethical practices.

Stretching along Shoal Creek, the park offers a mix of shaded walking and biking trails, open lawns, and beautifully restored natural areas. It is hard to believe when you are in the park that you are in the heart of central Austin. The park is especially family friendly, with a large playground, splash pad, treehouse style observation area, and plenty of seating. While we were at the park a school was hosting a picnic for its students. The northern portion of the park is even more quiet and scenic, with winding trails, limestone bluffs, and creek views. It's a great area for dog walks, leisurely strolls, picnics, workouts, or just relaxing under the trees. The park is well maintained and welcoming to all ages. This park is very special.

The stream nearby adds a peaceful touch, and the overall design of the park feels really intentional and creative. Kids will go crazy for the massive playground and all the interactive installations. The hanging net sphere is a must, you can lie inside and bounce around, and honestly the adults were just as into it as the little ones. There are also food vendors including ice cream, so you can easily spend a whole afternoon here. One of the most well-done parks I've been to. Highly recommend.

The fenced area gives me peace of mind, and there's enough space for dogs to actually play instead of just circle around. Bonus: it's super close to Mueller Lake Park, so you can easily make it part of a longer walk or hangout. Water stations and waste bags are usually stocked, which I appreciate, especially on hot Texas days. It can get a little busy during peak hours, but honestly that just adds to the social vibe if your dog likes other pups. Solid neighborhood dog park--simple, convenient, and reliable. Definitely recommend.

If they can build amazing parks for human kids, why not for ours too?! The park needs grass, trees, shade, more seating and space for dogs to roam comfortably. It just doesn't seem like a spot that's designed with pets in mind, but more of a item on their checklist of spaces to create for the park. Mueller Dog Park has been overrun with the stench of urine and uninvolved parents. Mueller is supposed to be a nice, safe, and more sophisticated spot. But after a few minutes, my three fur kiddos were ready to head home... don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.
