I'm a health nut, I do yoga, I run, I eat well. I am also only in my late 20s, I shouldn't need to go to a chiropractor right? I was so wrong. After reading the great reviews about this place and high recommendations, I made the drive from Austin to Killeen to see Dr. Shawn Isdale. I am so glad I did. Here's my experience, I will update over time on my progress after adjustments. Walking in as a skeptic, I was immediately greeted by the front desk staff. I checked in and while sitting down to fill out my paperwork, I noticed that almost every patient that walks in was greeted by their names by the staff. The customers come in chit chatting with the staff as if they were longtime buds. This is rare to see in a business anymore these days and it was such a gem to see, it made me a bit more comforting in the choice I made to come here. I took my x-rays with Christina, who was friendly and perhaps the most efficient x-ray tech I have ever seen. Then she also did my wellness exam. It was a series of different stretches and bends and boy did the stretches feel good! Perhaps my favorite part of Isdale is that When Dr. Shawn went through my x-ray with me, he explained in detail what I am looking at. Without fail, he pointed out every area on my spine from the x-ray that I would feel pain down to the T. This is when much of my skepticism went out the window. Now that I have been here for about 8 adjustments, I have to admit, I feel much better. Some days I am sore but they told me that ahead of time. I know my body is adjusting back to normal and this is undoing years of curves and twisting that my spine has decided to do.
