It always starts with let's just go and walk around and maybe find a place to eat. Famous last word…read moreas it starts with window shopping which then leads into walking into a store and treating yourself. Clearly never hurts anyone. This area is an outdoor space with a decent amount of the higher end stores. It's stretches out a few block radius but the Main Street, El Paseo is where majority of the storefronts are. But then you have the outdoor mall, not really a mall but a little shopping strip. Here is where most of the higher end shops are located. You have Gucci, Bottega Venetta, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Company, to name a few. Not to mention a fairly decent amount of restaurants to add to the mix. Quite a few steakhouse and seafood restaurants. Plenty of parking along the street as well as the parking structure behind which is covered. The property and layout of the district is beautiful. Of course the desert theme is active with all the cactus and succulents. A few water features and a good amount of seating with umbrella from the sun. Even if you window shop or just browse the streets, this area is quite beautiful and nicely done. A fairly decent amount of stores and loads of restaurants. It's worth checking out. It's where you'll find the higher retailers in the desert.

There are free yellow courtesy carts which operates seasonally from mid-October through May to shuttle people along El Paseo. Street parking can be difficult at times, however there are two parking structures at The Gardens on El Paseo and at El Paseo Village. Also, many storefronts have some parking behind them.

In the North end of town, right before the entrance to the Tramway, this is a funky little shopping plaza that with some of the best home decor stores around! The stores are filled with Mid-Century antiques, art, playful décor and the plaza even has a dispensary. Besides these great furniture and home stores, the shopping center also has a beloved coffee shop, an Italian owned Italian Restaurant. The italian restaurant is actually how I discovered the plaza itself. Came in for dinner and saw all the amazing window displays and new stores, so I had to return the next day! And have been back many times since. Definitely worth checking out, if you are a fan of Mid-Century home furnishings. The stores vary on selection and pricing, but they are all devotees to this period in time!

I've been to a lot of TJ Maxx stores but this one is the CLEANEST, MOST ORGANIZED store I have shopped at. I now make this location a MUST every time I'm in Palm Springs on vacation and I ALWAYS find something fabulous. This visit I purchased a gorgeous pair of Franco Sarto Tinsley Woven Mary Jane's ($39.99 here and $120.00 right now at a big box store) and a jumbo size bottle of St. Tropez Self Tanner ($19.99 here and $49.00 at other beauty store)......I will be back very soon!

On October 9, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., I visited the TJ Maxx location in Palm Springs to return a ring I had purchased the previous day at the Palm Desert location. After removing the tag and trying the ring on, I noticed that one of the stones was missing. This was a defect I had not noticed at the time of purchase. I immediately contacted the Palm Springs location to inquire about returning the item. When I arrived, the store manager, whose name I could not identify because her hair was covering her name badge, informed me that I had to return the ring to the original location where it was purchased. Despite having the receipt and all the required tags, she insisted that this was the policy and claimed there was signage at the jewelry counter stating that all jewelry returns must be made at the original location. However, the only signage I observed outlined the standard return policy, including the 30-day return window and the requirement to present the receipt and tags. I did not see any sign stating that jewelry purchased at one TJ Maxx location could not be returned to another. What should have been a simple return involving a defective item turned into an unnecessary discussion lasting approximately five minutes before the manager ultimately processed the return. I found the interaction disappointing and unprofessional. If a specific return restriction exists, customers should be informed of the actual policy clearly and accurately. Referring to signage that a customer cannot locate, particularly when the stated policy appears inconsistent with the information displayed, creates confusion and undermines trust. As a customer, I expect management to handle reasonable concerns professionally, communicate store policies accurately, and make an effort to resolve issues without unnecessary confrontation. I understand that individual store procedures may vary, but that does not excuse a dismissive approach or the failure to provide clear, verifiable information. I am requesting that this interaction be reviewed and that the company clarify its policy regarding cross-location jewelry returns. Customers should not have to argue with a store manager over a return involving a defective product when they have proof of purchase and the required documentation. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to reinforce customer service standards and ensure that customers are treated with professionalism and respect.

Though it's loaded with antiques, they are not the usual junk you see at some other antique shops. It's huge, and everything is super clean and high quality. And most prices seemed fair. The gallery occupies 2 floors and each rented booth owner really puts thought and care into how their items are displayed and each booth is easy to navigate. I love looking for MCM finds and there were a lot of items here from that era. But there was a lot of variety. One very colorful room on the second floor looks like original art. I'm a "look at every bit & bob" kinda gal, so it took about 2 hours to go through the whole selection. Clean bathrooms on both floors were greatly appreciated. Like any "antique" shop in a touristy city, but especially one as known for history, MCM and ties to classic Hollywood as PS, prices were on the higher side, but some booths were running discounts, so it's always worth a perusal. We'll check back in again the next time we visit "The Desert". Cheers! "CC"

This place would be your typical covered indoor mall. Theres not much to it besides the main stores with Macys, Dicks and JC Pennys as they're major department stores. They have some of the other basics you would get inside any mall. HM, Finish Line, Hollister, Lids, Vans, Bath and Body Works and so on. Your regular retail chain stores. It's a decent size mall that you could walk down the whole strip in no time. Not overly big. Lately whenever I pop in to windows shop, it's not that busy. But I guess now as school is starting soon it has picked up a lot. They do have some restaurants as well as smaller snack booth. It's sucks that this is the only mall in the desert. You would think that they would make it way better to cater to everyone. But I guess it's going well so far. Not a lot of stores that I've been to as they're new to me. Love when malls reach out to the community. Love Crepe-ing Ramen that they have in the food court. Good to kill a bit of time and to absorb AC but it's not anything spectacular.
