I honestly haven't had this much fun shopping at an outlet in years. The environment is so much better than it was a few years ago. There are plenty of seating areas everywhere to rest, and so many stylish new stores to explore. The dining options haven't completely caught up yet, but I'm hopeful they'll continue to improve. The three of us shopped for six hours straight and somehow didn't even feel that tired. Looking forward to coming back more often, and hopefully seeing even better discounts next time!

Staff inform you of their deal that day. Selections can sell out quickly on popular sizes. On the far east side is Hadley's fruit orchard store, Chipotle & in n out near casino Morongo. Deals on past season designer brands. Always packed the Friday after Thanksgiving. Be prepared if you're planning to head out in the afternoon. Freeway will have traffic to get into the shopping center & parking structure. Front row parking in structure and kids wagon strollers by the elevators with extra cost. Nearby homes will offer parking in their driveways for a fee. It's a mad dash for deals.

They are fairly busy on a Tuesday evening a couple days before New Years. I was not able to find outside parking, but did see some spaces in their multi-floor parking lot. There are a good number of stores and places to eat. If you plan on shopping/window shopping, plan for a couple hours to see the whole place.

Certain area of this huge complex are currently undergoing remodeling so several businesses are closed. During this recent visit, I noticed very few customers unlike my previous and many visits where this place was PACKED and nearly impossible to find a parking spot. It actually felt sad shopping here and appeared as though many businesses are desperate for customers. 90% of the stores I noticed, had, "50-70% off" posters displayed on the front windows or "entire store on clearance" posters. There were also two businesses with, "going out of business forever" posters on their front windows. As a shopper, this means great savings on many items but when my of my favorite athletic shoe stores (ASICS) is no longer here, this can't be a good sign. A security guard I spoke to shared that business has been unusually slow this summer. I hope that retailers are not planing on leaving and this just happens to be not only a slow day for shopping but an entire summer of customers staying away.

Walking along the street are cute one of a kind boutiques, art galleries, restaurants of all sort and chain stores. It's well maintained to keep up that nice lush and posh feel. The outdoor mall area has your usual higher end retails with Arhaus home, Pottery Barn, Saks Fifth Ave, Gucci, Bottega Venetta, Tiffany's, Louis Vuitton, and more. Walking through the outdoor mall, it's a cute spot for lounging or just an afternoon of shopping. Beautiful landscape with nice seating areas. I feel like it caters more to the holiday makers than the locals. You'll have people constantly visiting the restaurant as there's loads of higher end dining as well as someplace for something fast and casual. Loads of cute art galleries and home decor stores. Majority of the retails are a little higher end but you'll get the regular shops like Alo, Anthropologie and more. It's a cute little shopping and dining area tucked in the desert. Something similar to the Northridge or even Burbank mall when I first walked in. There's plenty of parking and a covered structure which is a major plus out here in the desert. The summer heat and walking back to your car after it's been sitting out, no bueno. For the two main departments stores, Macys on one end and JC Penny's on the other end. Macys also has a home store which you don't see as often. The other bigger stores, Dicks and Barnes and Nobles. Then inside you have the usual stores, nothing fancy. There's your usual H&M which is decent size, Victoria Secrets, Hollister, American Eagle, Tilly's, Bath and Body Works, Express and a few other retail store you would expect inside a mall. Nothing fancy but the usual. Then there's some small business which seemed like they're family owned. The mall isn't that big, a good length from one end to the other. I walked in on Mother's Day's for the first time which they were hosting afternoon tea right in the middle of the plaza. It was cute and raffles were given with prizes offered from the retail insides. In my opinion, it's a mall. Nothing major or special about it. You would think that if it is the only main mall in town, it should be worth it. But I guess it'll do.

IT'S A WRAP is a NEW spot upstairs inside The Shops at Palm Desert that you do not want to miss…read more I was visiting the mall for the first time and almost walked past it since it is located upstairs in the food court, but once I noticed it, it immediately stood out from everything else around it. The first thing I saw was how FRESH and HEALTHY everything looked. The ingredients were vibrant and clearly prepared with care. After speaking with the owner, I learned this is a FAMILY OWNED business that recently opened, and I was one of their early customers. That made the experience even more meaningful. For my first visit, I tried the tuna wrap and it was AMAZING. The owner was PASSIONATE about the food and took the time to explain the menu and the value is great. You can tell there is real pride behind what they serve. They also offer WRAPS, FRESH SALADS, AND BURGERS, so there are plenty of options depending on what you want. The atmosphere was FRIENDLY, WELCOMING, AND FAMILY ORIENTED. If I am back at the mall, I will definitely come again. IF YOU ARE AT THE SHOPS AT PALM DESERT, GO UPSTAIRS AND CHECK OUT IT'S A WRAP. Located on Highway 111, with a mountain backdrop, it offers many big box stores that help get the errands accomplished. Dear Hubby and I popped in this afternoon as we had specific things we were seeking, including a bathing suit for him, a USB cable for my phone charger, and a few other items. He scored a nice swimsuit on clearance for ten bucks at Marshall's! I found the USB cable with proper end for $7. I also picked up a couple of items I wasn't specifically looking for, but were good deals and will come in handy. It's really convenient to be able to check out TJ Maxx and Marshall's in the same plaza. There's lots of free parking. The architecture includes colorful tiles and distinctive domes, which are noticable even several blocks away. I didn't get a chance to take in the whole of the place, but did notice signs for Target, Aldi, and Best Buy. The next time we come to the desert, this will likely lure us again for essentials we forgot to bring from home.

From The looks of it, it looks pretty impressive. It's a cute walkway that with a mixture of Universal city walk and San Antonio River walk. Of course man made but a cute layout of the property. It's not that big and everything surrounds each other but it's worth a wander through. There's plenty of parking both to the side as well as plenty in the back lot. I think everything is pretty much out in the open as I didn't really see any covered parking spots. Location is amazing as it's pretty much near a lot of things.
