They didn't check the post height on the caliper mount, and the posts were taller on the new fork than the original fork. Just needed to use one less spacer - but he didnt check anything. The brake failed on my very first ride and its a miracle i wasn't really seriously hurt. They also tried to remove the air gap cap with a pair of pliers rather than a socket, so its scratched like crazy. He never pointed it out to me when i picked it up and I happened to catch it when loading the bike in my truck. "oh yea, i meant to tell you about that" - sure you did. So much for my new $800 front fork. He took down the fork info and promised to send me a replacement cap. I received the wrong cap - now I have to chase him down for the correct part. He might have some good deals on new bikes, but a bicycle mechanic he is NOT.
