Beginning to wonder if we made the right choice with our selection of Orthodontist at Weaver Orthodontics in Brunswick, Georgia. Our daughter is currently a patient, and had her braces installed about one week ago. Within hours after the braces were installed, one of the fixtures popped off in her mouth. We thought this was just a fluke, and brought her back for a second visit on the very day that her braces were installed. Not a huge deal, things happen and we clearly understand this was probably pretty common. Within an hour or so of her install, a second fixture popped off... Not a huge deal, but emotionally a little tough on a young child who really doesn't want braces anyway. We dealt with it, got her patched up, again, and felt that this too was probably just a fluke. Within three days, a third fixture (not sure what to call the connectors that glue to the tooth) popped off, now on the bottom. Today marks the fourth visit this week to Dr. Weaver's office, three of which were to repair work that they had performed only hours or a couple of days earlier. Fluke? I'm beginning to suspect that there may be more to it... I just got off the phone with my daughter, she was crying and in pain... She said that her mouth hurt because of the force used to fasten a guard/gate during the repair. One of the interesting observations that she made during our conversation regarding her friend's orthodontics experience, which is happening this week as well, "_____ has not had any problems since she had her braces installed, and she said that it was her Orthodontist that did the installation of the braces and not one of his office staff"... Perhaps there is some merit to her observation. I would have thought that the Orthodontist would have stepped in by now to address the reoccuring issues, but not yet...
