This company was contracted by Liberty Home Guard to fix my furnace. The owner came out and…read morereplaced a part and then tried to sell my daughter a service contract. Needless to say, the furnace was not fixed and so she called them back and was told he would be out the next day, Saturday, and see what was wrong. Long story short, that evening he told her he was too wrapped up in a house wiring project and wouldn't be able to make it. It was in the lower 50's at the time and expected to drop below freezing. At present, I have no confidence this person will fix the problem and have lodged a complaint with Liberty Home Guard about contracting with this person ever again.

They took about 2 1/2 hours and the main guy was on the phone the whole time! I made the mistake of not watching them, and when they were done, he said it was all done and I wrote him a check. He said he would send my receipt to my email. Well the next day, I ran a load of laundry and there was water on the floor, just like before. Also, it's now been 1 & 1/2 weeks later and he still won't come back and fix the washer. he hasn't sent me a receipt either. I have been hounding him by phone messages and texts, and have only talked to him twice. He makes statements claiming he'll get right back to me with a date and time, but then blows me off! I don't think it's fair to keep on starting new jobs, when you haven't finished the one you said you fixed!!! I have now been without my washer for 3 &1/2 weeks and if he has so many jobs he can't keep up, then maybe he shouldn't take on so many! I mean... is it to much to ask to get what you pay for? From a very unhappy customer!

We were pleasantly surprised that they would drive over an hour to take on our project. Orva and his sons are very knowledgeable about restoration, as well as the products they use. Our house looks great, we will definitely look to them for upkeep in the future!

They really cheaped out when they installed/contracted this roof. Leaked within 7 years; have to replace shingles after 17 years. Other gripes include : -The lot was poorly graded which has led to some water damage. -The dryer vent outlet exited to the garage!?! If you can find your car in the winter due to the fog, you had to wipe the dryer lint off your windshield -Lots of air gaps between the house and foundation If you plan on staying in your house longer than 5 years, you should find someone else to build it.

Truly disappointed in the lack of quality. One of the main reasons we went with a Modular home was…read morethe belief that constructing in a controlled environment would result in a superior build. Unfortunately poor workmanship is poor workmanship, regardless of if its in a factory or not. Drywall finishing is remarkably poor. Unprimed drywall in shower location. Ceiling light fixtures installed with single screw, despite manufacturer's guidelines. "Squeaky" floors that required aftermarket products to make tolerable. Was surprised to find Pex used at the toilet/sink/etc instead of standard stubouts. While "technically" acceptable, it is a poor time and cost cutting option. Not just visually but also adds complications for future work. Perhaps our biggest concern was the extended delay due to a two-story / cape cod production delay to redesign the HVAC design. Were told production was on hold around November for redesign, however the home we received in February of 2026 matches the HVAC layout we have from June of 2025 exactly. Have tried to get clarification with zero success. Side note: Most of the reviews for Heckaman seem to include issues with the actual "builder" and not Heckaman as solely a manufacturer. While those complaints are rather unfair, Heckaman does select the companies they deal with and they would benefit from being a bit more mindful. In the end, nobody says they have a "XYZ Builder" home, they have "Heckaman" home.
