Murray Appliance and Ward Elkins were contacted by GE, but with no action, we asked for Hill Appliance Repair and received quick and effective service. GE is refunding what we paid for the service with no issues.

Had another repair company out before Hill, and to make a long story short, they didn't want to bother with our job. We found out about Hill Appliances and called them. Jason came out within a week, diagnosed the problem and promptly fixed the refrigerator in about an hour for a very reasonable price. He saved us a ton of money and our sanity as well. Jason is about a good a guy as you can find and very honest. I will definitely use them again for anything appliance related.

We had an old dryer that stopped heating up and drying clothes. We called Purchase Appliances on a…read morerecommendation to have it looked at and repaired. The first repair man came out and said it needed a new timer. That visit causes $116 we had purchased appliance order the timer and that was another $218. The second repair man came out and installed the timer and the dryer still did not work. He could not find the problem. That visit cost us $175. They sent a third repair man out and he could not fix it either. Could not figure out what was wrong with it. No charge for that visit. At this point, we have $509 in a used dryer that does not work. We headed down to the store to see what our options were. They had a used dryer at their store that they were selling for $300. They gave us $250 credit for our dryer which had a new $200 timer on it. So we ended up putting in an additional $50 to get another used dryer. Then they delivered and installed the dryer we bought from them for $155. When they came to install the dryer, the cord on the dryer was not long enough to reach the plug in our house. I made a trip down to Paducah to pick up a longer cord and they charged me $40 for it. I told them I didn't feel it was fair for me to have to pay for the cord after all we have gone through and the expense we have gone through but they would not budge. The cord started out at $45 and they knocked it down to $40. So now we have $754 in a used dryer. We could have bought a brand new one cheaper. And they thought I was being unreasonable asking them to cover a $40 cord for the dryer. They took no accountability in their part of not being able to fix it. A clothes dryer is one of the simplest appliances there are out there. It's hard for me to believe somebody couldn't fix that thing.

I'd been a week without a fridge, so I asked if they could just mail me the handles. No one told me that in 2 days, Lowe's was no longer responsible. Called the delivery people, who are contracted by Lowe's, they say.....well, who knows what they say. The phone connection sucked, they spoke Spanish and I don't. I called Lowe's and the guy at the appliance department literally said "Not my problem" . Here it is, now April, and no handles. If Lowe's is the only place in the world to buy something else, I'm doing without. I would advise anyone else to do the same. That's what we get for allowing these companies to run out the mom and pop businesses who thrived on customer service. Lowe's suck and doesn't care about you after they get your money. Stay away at all cost.

After a 2 minute phone call to Western Auto, they delivered one to her home & took the old one! It's been a great one too! This store may be small ( the population is only 3500 here ), but I'd venture to bet they can get you anything you need if they don't have it in stock. Prices are good here too. Horrible customer service. They sent me a defective item and I wanted to return it. Traci took my…read morenumber and said she lost it, but ironically all my detailed information was in their computer. They never gave me a store credit or my money back and I had to mail back the damaged item ,over $35 out of pocket. Only after telling them I spoke to a lawyer and told him Iron Place took my money and also kept their item once I returned it to them and was going to give my nothing in return, this was Fraud!! It just so happens a few days later they credited my credit card for their damaged item and didn't even tell me until I looked at my credit card statement. Buyer Beware, Traci and her staff hung up the phone on me when I inquired about my credit. Traci is not the nice smiling person you see when you want your money back on an item they send damaged. Don't Be Fooled!!
