The first thing that struck me as odd, is that they have no firearms in the glass cases for sale. "All of our sales are online, or we can sell you a rental at a discounted rate", was the response I received when I inquired, my buddy just stared at me. So, now let's get to why I finished the intro to this the way I did. The young lady to the right where the .22lr ammo is kept, was very sweet and friendly, obviously younger, quite cute, she was a pleasure to deal with. The other lady, the extremely thin one with a pony-tail, she was the buzz-kill; not sure if it was the two of us, or if she speaks to everyone like they are completely stupid. My buddy and I took turns asking questions, and she would literally speak So far down her nose to us she nearly fell over forwards. Now I didn't feel the need to express the fact that I am college educated, prior service, and have hunted all of the "Western 11" states, and my buddy is a well adapted, educated, experienced shooter. Every time she would give an answer, it was condescending, and pushed the outer boundaries of being just plain rude. I am not paying someone to be rude to me, you want my money, provide good customer service. One thing for certain, We won't be back, Id rather drive out of town, or go pay higher rates elsewhere. (Don't even get me started on the fact that they had a guy on the range with a mid-powered rifle, rapid firing on a pistol range, sparks everywhere).

If you see these people please tell them they owe a whole lot of money to a whole lot of people who, in good standing, paid yearly memberships and want compensation for the months we will never use due to the fact the owners packed up and left in the middle of the night.

We just moved from Houston and jake's was a welcome surprise. Their courses are challenging and…read moreexciting and technology and lay out would compete with the best out there. You can rent a gun if you don't have one along with the ammo. For $40 per 100 shots including taxes, this was a great deal even as a non member. Their shop was well stocked and the club house was very impressive and clean. Staff was super and I look forward to take more friends out there. You can even plan events over here. There was one going on but there were still enough stations for other shooters to enjoy the course without any delay or wait. One word of advise, always stay hydrated and carry water especially if you are not on the golf cart. Being in west Texas with the drought, each station doesn't have a water cooler as we usually do in Houston. The farthest station is 1.2 miles away so it can be a challenge. That being said, amazing course and really nice being out there. Make the most of your weekend and go out there. Request: for all the avid shooters, please be courteous to the staff and collect the spent shells and put them in the bin. I am sure the crew would appreciate the gesture and not having to bend to pick these up over 40 station would help them keep the maintenance fees low.
