One of the things that attracted us to TBG was the idea that they would take care of most of the process and help guide us through it. In the beginning, the communication and process were very strong. There was a lot of preparation with designers, architects, and other professionals, many of whom we were introduced to through TBG. Once construction began, we also had regular weekly or biweekly meetings onsite, which provided a lot of support and expertise that we genuinely appreciated.
For roughly the first half of the project, we worked closely with Anton, who was very involved and hands-on. As the project progressed, there were some changes to the team and we worked with several different project managers. While the team remained responsive and eager to help through our WhatsApp group, we did have less day-to-day onsite involvement from some of the original team members. As a result, we found that we needed to be more involved in monitoring the details and progress ourselves as the project moved along.
Ultimately, TBG completed our remodel in under a year and was able to deliver within the timeline we were working toward, which we really appreciated. There were definitely some stressful moments along the way, as there are with any large remodel, but the team continued to work through issues and keep the project moving forward.
Nick, who became our project manager toward the end of the project, deserves a special mention. He was excellent & I only wished we worked with him sooner in the project vs towards the tailend. He would call me regularly just to check in, and even when I was frustrated or stressed about an issue, he remained calm, responsive, and focused on finding a solution. I really appreciated that approach it was what we needed to get to the finish line.
Overall, I would recommend TBG, particularly if you're looking for a company that can help coordinate a large-scale remodel and provide access to a team of designers, architects, and construction professionals.
It was a big project with its share of challenges, but we're ultimately happy to have completed the remodel and appreciate the many people at TBG who helped us get there.
