My sprinklers were running and the main system was leaking so much water, I had to shut off the water to my entire house to get it to stop. I messaged him over Yelp and he responded right away. Later that evening he came by and replaced the valve. His rates were reasonable for emergency services (around $300 for everything) and the valve has been performing well since he replaced it. I sent out a request for quotes and Eduardo responded asking for my phone number. Someone gave me a call the next day and scheduled an appointment. The day of the appointment arrived, and there was no confirmation, so I reached out again in the morning (at 10am for a 1pm appointment). Eduardo responded that he "might be running a little late." 1pm came and went, and I tried messaging again at nearly 2pm, at which time he texted saying he was going to be "45 min to 1 hr" late. I asked what that meant, given it was already 2pm, and he said he was just finishing another job "now." I told him that I had other meetings for the rest of the day starting at 3pm so he needed to get here for the quote before then, and if not, that we should cancel. He never responded either way, and since it's now 3pm I guess that means he canceled. Very poor communication and service. read more

Eduardo is genuine and very diligent in his approach. I had called him to check on a couple of leaky valves, broken PVC and a leaky dripper. I had to step out due to an emergency and Eduardo stopped by and fixed the PVC and came back the next day to repair the valves. Not once did he bring up the payment. He was courteous, explained the problem and even fixed an additional valve that was leaking. He patiently inspected all connected and nearby sprinklers as well and fixed a couple as well. When I complained about a leak after that he stopped by late in the evening to check out the "leak" and assured it was merely a backflow and nothing to worry about. Eduardo and crew were the first to respond to our request to quote with a very reasonable and simple initial estimate. They came in and were able to diagnose the issue (which was a leaking valve in our irrigation). Unfortunately, the entire valve system was installed poorly by the previous vendor so they took the time to fix the valve system and relocate it to a better place. Eduardo went above and beyond to do an inspection and tune up of the rest of the irrigation system. Eduardo came out for free inspection of what we supposed was a sprinkler leak and gave a determination of main problem, the main water valve. He turned off the 5 sprinkler system valves for us. No charge was required and he said if leak resumed, he quoted cost for repairs. Sprinkler seemed to have stopped earlier than his visit after we had tried securing everything. We hired Eduardo to fix our irrigation system. He did not finish the job he was hired to do despite being paid. He assured us that the job would be completed and demanded payment upfront. It has been two months since we hired him and the work is half complete. We have attempted multiple times to contact him with no response. The valves he replaced were Incorrectly wired so they do not turn on with the automatic system. Our sprinkler system still leaks in multiple spots. We have tried to resolve this outside of public forums but we have no response to any of our calls or messages. read more

Our water bill increased dramatically from the prior months. We suspected a leak when the meter indicated that water was flowing when all faucets were shut off. We traced the problem to the line feeding our irrigation system. Our gardener couldn't find the leak so we called Eduardo at Irrigation System Care. He arrived quickly and determined that the leak was in the irrigation manifold. He had to do a significant amount of excavation to expose the pipes. There was more than one crack in the manifold. Eduardo worked well into the evening, past dark. He had to return to finish the job. Eduardo is a very hard working and diligent repairman. He charged us a reasonable amount for a lot of hard work. One of my automatic sprinkler valves failed without warning--low water pressure as well as not shutting off 100%, Called several companies on a Saturday morning. For this company, I received a text response within an hour stating that Eduardo was busy but would be calling back shortly. Later, I received another text apologizing for the delay and that an appt next week would work better . I responded that the system was still leaking slightly, so early in the week was preferred. Upon hearing I had a leak, Eduardo made arrangements to do the repair (replacing two valves) that same evening--working until 11 pm. The time it took was reflective of the amount of work involved to dig up the old valves and do the repair correctly. I will call Eduardo first if I ever need a similar repair and would highly recommend him based on my experience. read more

I needed someone to come to my house to trouble shoot and fix one zone of my backyard sprinkler system. This business responded to my Yelp request through the owner who replied, "I can help." When I inquired as to when he could help, he asked for my phone number and told me that "reception" would call to book...which it never did. I finally got a 6:00pm appointment from him for the following week communicating through the Yelp app. The day of the appointment I had to contact him again via the Yelp app at 6:20pm to ask if he was still showing up. He did text me shortly after that to tell me he was running late and finally arrived around 7:00pm. He looked over the system, got his tools, opened up a valve and later got the zone to work properly one time. I asked him to stay while I used my sprinkler controller to start the system automatically, but the same problem I needed him to fix still remained. He told me I needed to buy some parts and replace them. He had no parts with him to do this. I felt that at least he diagnosed the problem which I had no idea before, so I paid him $40 cash for the service call and a $10 tip for staying late. I also told him I would replace the parts, but contact him again to come back if it didn't solve the problem. Next day I bought the parts and replaced them myself and, sure enough, same problem as before. I texted the owner to please come back to look at it again, but it's been almost 24 hours since I texted him with no reply back. The whole experience so far leaves me out $50 + replacement parts that I replaced myself and a whole lot of my time wasted with the sprinkler problem still not fixed! read more

They were suppose to show up for an estimate at 6pm tonight and I told them, I do not leave there and manage the property and please be on time. At 6:13pm, no show, I call and the lady says oh sorry Edwardo is at a job. Then the receptionist keep texting me we are sorry, here is the GPS he is close. I guess they expect you to wait for 30minutes in the street in the heat. RUN RUN RUN. There are too many great irrigation companies out there. I believe this is a very small operation, a guy and a truck calling himself an irrigation specialist with a person acting as receptionist to make it sound as they are this amazing company. I saw the comment from Edwardo as well. First of all, do you have a license? Are you bonded? I contacted a company with high YELP review. Then I got a message from you that our receptionist will call you. I wonder if this was a switch. I wonder if I contacted a company that throw my lead to you. She did tell me, you used to be with another company and went on your own. Above $300 you need a license. I also talked to home owner and they check the camera and nobody was at the property. what is your license number? just so you know: What are the penalties for contracting without a license? A contractor's license is not necessary as long as you don't advertise yourself as a licensed contractor and never contract for jobs costing $500 or more, including labor and materials. There are serious penalties for unlicensed contracting and the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) seriously pursues violators. The CSLB has Statewide Investigative Fraud Team(s) that conduct stings and sweeps on a regular basis focusing on the underground economy. First time offenses for contracting without a license are usually a misdemeanor, carrying a potential sentence of up to six months in jail and/or a $500 fine, along with a potential administrative fine of $200 to $15,000. The penalties go up with subsequent violations. A second conviction can mean a fine of 20 percent of the contract price of the work performed, or a $4,500 fine. Also, the unlicensed contractor shall be confined to jail for no less than 90 days. LAWS AND REGULATIONS - Felony charges can be filed against those who contract without a license in areas designated as a state of emergency or disaster by the Governor of California or the President of the United States. Eduardo was very responsive on the first day. He responded promptly to my Yelp request and came in the evening and worked diligently to diagnose the irrigation leak problem. First, he cleaned the sprinkler valves very patiently. When that did not resolve the problem, he proactively dug up the area where the leak was occurring. It was becoming late and he left, saying he will return the next day. He cleaned the area before leaving, a great gesture. And unlike many others I have seen lately, he did nor ask to be paid immediately for the time he spent already. The next day, he did not show up at around 9AM as he had promised. I tried to call him and he did not pick up. The voice mail box was full. I messaged the issue on Yelp after which he responded. But for this issue, I would have given 5 stars. He came after 11AM and completed the work to my satisfaction. The charge was reasonable for the time he spent to patiently diagnose and fix the issue. So far the leak seems to be fixed.
