Also a smaller fenced in area for 3 year olds and younger. Lots of variety. It was a weekday afternoon when we went. Not super crowded. All in all a fun place for kids to run and play. The negative is, I would never suggest leaving your kids alone there. The supervision is lacking to nonexistent. I couldn't tell if it was just the cashier there alone, or if someone was helping her. She spent the entire time talking to another woman. Not one person was even watching the kids. No one ever walked around. The cashier's small son was there. And he was an uncontrolled kid. Running around, very wild. So while it is a fun place. I would say to never leave your kids there alone.

Well, I clearly had my head in the sand. This place is the oldest continuously run Kidde Park in America and has the oldest steel roller coaster in North America. The facility clearly shows a bit of its age but is extremely clean. Further, the ride operators are very friendly and in tune with their small guests. I witnessed several random acts of kindness during my visit. Oh and did I mention that the food is good and the facilities clean. There is also a nice snack bar with a tropical fishtank about halfway through the course. There's not a lot of extravagant drinks there (don't expect a martini or a grasshopper or anything like that), but there is a good variety of beers, wines, IPAs, and seltzers for the adults as well as slushies and sodas for the kids. As for the course, it's incredible what they've been able to do with such a small space. They've basically snaked 19 holes around a fairly large basement area that begins and ends in the same spot, and each hole (save five or so in the middle that are essentially one big diorama and two holes making up an ocean area) has its own theme. There are animatronics, sound effects, and painting tricks that work well with the 3D glasses, but it's not necessary to wear them to enjoy the experience. I highly recommend this place with some caveats. Try to go during times of lower traffic. Weekend/weekday mornings and the first couple of hours on Sundays tend to be the least busy and allow for a more relaxed play experienced. If you find it is crowded, I can't believe it has to be said, but please be respectful to your fellow golphers. A lot of the bad reviews on here seem to be more about inconsiderate customers than the quality of the course. Keep in mind that as I said, the space is a bit cramped due to the maze-like layout of the place, so respecting personal space and waiting your turn is a must here. Also, you're not just paying to play, you're paying to see the artwork. Trust me, there are a lot of cool little details in the displays and on the walls that people don't seem to pay attention to when they speed through the course. To use a restaurant metaphor: the place may look like fast food to be consumed and devoured, but it's more complex than that and should be taken in and savored.

As far as the play area, there is plenty of area for the kids to play including: two splash areas (one smaller, I think, for the smaller kiddos), two larger jungle gym/slides/climbing/etc areas, a swings area, and a music play area. After entering the lower level I believe it was Jason who told us there was special seating available to us behind the goal. He personally escorted us to our seats and even had a special chair for my wife. Jason went out of his way to make us comfortable and have a good experience which we did.

During Covid days we are all looking for a safe , serene environment where we can participate in healthy outdoor activities . Dave Barr and his staff has created such an environment . The outdoor facilities ( pools, tennis etc) are in the best condition I've seen in many years. Everything is updated and fresh. The indoor facilities have also undergone an amazing transformation with new decor in the community rooms and top of the line indoor tennis, and fitness . Thanks Dave for all you've done !
