Guest speakers and in-house experts present specialist advice and particular topics that cover heaps of different areas of genealogy. In case you didn't already know, the Auckladn Research Centre is the place to go in Auckland for free advice about genealogy research, getting access to online family history databases, and accessing the library's tonnes and tonnes of old stuff, like newspapers and photos. The talks are a good way to see if you might be interested in family history research without committing yourself at all, or for people who are more advanced in the game. Also, they're an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded people!

That meant that there was, and is, always quite a lot of pressure on them for space for exhibitions, but luckily when you visit, you'll probably not be aware of that. The main gallery space is upstairs, and it's a good sized room that can be configured in various ways depending on the needs of the exhibition. It looks out onto both Ponsonby Road and over to Hopetoun St, so it's pretty light and airy. The emphasis on exhibitions here is community involvement and representation, so the quality of what you can see here can be mixed, but there's usually something interesting enough going on. Artstation also provide a big range of adult's and children's art classes.

I've been taking German night classes at Euroasia for the past two years and I've had two different…read moreteachers in that time. They've both been German natives which is great to see in a language school because they're able to teach you so much more about the culture and country. Although the classes are quite pricey at over $30 a class, I've been to other classes before and I don't think I'd go anywhere else in Auckland. The class sizes are nice and small which means you don't get left behind and everyone can be involved.
