They were super friendly and kind as usual, also very helpful to my son who is learning about coins for a project and had a lot of questions. I noticed they take silver plated items as well, and I have an antique pitcher that broke that is either pure silver or plated that I need to scrap. Also I have a set of very old silver (or plated, need to check) flatware that's doing nothing in my buffet drawer so I'll be back with more! Last time I was in (a few years ago when I replaced my engagement ring band) Frank was very honest with me that precious metal prices were down and to wait, as I did, and it paid off today! I am mostly at fault for not doing more research for comparison purposes and asking more questions at the moment of transaction. However, I do believe as a professional businessman, the owner should have shared more information such as showing me the weight of earrings on scale and his analysis of its purity. He did not speak at all other than giving me his offer. Also since this information is not written on the invoice, the language on the invoice: "I understand that falsifying statements herein are subject to the penalties of 18 PCSA sec 4909" will not apply. Too late and a big lesson learned for me. I encourage everyone to ask a lot of questions and ensure more info is written on the receipt!
